Thank you for making things look possible,Andrea. You are such an encourager to me.You make things look possible and fun and just give it a go.You inspire me to keep on .
Ms. Andrea, I don't think you realize what a blessing you are to those of us who are beginners! (the only crafts I knew were macrame and paper beads and you know how long ago that was...LOL) I have learned so much from watching you and am able to complete projects now. Your instruction is easy to follow and is so inspiring. Thank you! And also, thank you for your amazingly beautiful and generous digital downloads which are well affordable to those of us retired folk...LOL. LOVE your style and your TH-cam Channel, looking forward to all your videos.
Really beautiful.💐💐💐I’m following along with a smaller cover. I love these recycling videos. Thanks for doing it ‘easy’ as not everyone is so talented or has all the arty supplies.😄Thank you! 🌷🌷🌷🌷
YES Paste is my go-to adhesive when working with paper. It does get thick so you’ll need to get it back to the consistency of honey...use hot water. I also store the tub with electrical tape around the lid. This keeps air out and consistency stays great for ages.
Yes paste, I don’t usually collage with it. But it’s great to put copies of post cards back to back. Or single sheets of paper together. I use a palet knife or credit card and the thinner the layer of yes paste the better it works.
Fantastic! I had to watch 4 or 5 times to finally just watch techniques. I love the random gesso - I always do too much and keep overworking. Just wonderful Great Auntie!
Oh thank you for sharing. What a great selection of paper and materials. Those napkins are beautiful. Backing sheet was so inspiring. Love everything. 💖 New subscriber from New Zealand.😀💐🙏💕
Very excited that I just joined your face book group. I have been binging on your videos for weeks, in fact that it’s all i have watched and you got me very excited to get back into junk journaling. I needed something to keep me busy and I was hooked on coloring for months and months b it i was ready to get back to the journaling. Sadly i am chronically ill so keep my mind busy is wonderful;l.
Just found your channel...subscribed too...will be binge watching tonight. I love the idea of putting gesso on wax paper then on your page. Great effect. TFS
Congratulations great auntie🤗! I’m sorry for your losses during the month of March. Time has a way of numbing the ache by filling those 31 days with new memories and moments that make you smile. Like take this day you recorded this video, March 18th, 53 years ago a tiny 2.5 pound baby was born an defeated the odds...me😁, your newest fan, YT family., and friends. The way you applied gesso to deli paper for a random effect and hopefully helps with my heavy hand with that stuff. Thank you for all that you do.
I'm just now watching this video, but I learned something new. Using a template. What a great idea! And busy? Naw. I loved your collage! Thank you for sharing. Oh, and I loved your butterfly envelope!!!
I love it ! One doesn't need much to create beautiful art and have fun. I'm not much of a painter so I watched a few videos and did a face on a brown paper bag. It's one of my favorite pieces. Thanks so much for sharing your creativity.💞
You inspire me so much and you sure are ARTY! Man, that cover turned out absolutely gorgeous, and just my style. If I had to narrow down the most gorgeous cover this would be it- The colors, the GRUNGE! The butterflies, I love the stamping. It's just literally perfect. I am in awe, and I am going to go make something RIGHT NOW lol!!!
Loved every second of this video. So enjoy collage. I like how you used the paper to paint on then apply the gesso randomly to the piece. Am definitely going to use this idea! Congratulations on the newest family member. Am very sorry for your loss though; mother and brother...it's really difficult so you will be in my thoughts...but such a blessing for the new addition, so wonderful being a great aunt. Thank you for such awesome tutorials. Love your easy style.
Andrea, I use Yes glue a lot, however, I only put it on the base, place paper over it and use my hands to press down, then, do not put on top of paper since it will lift up. I love using it with crumpled Kraft paper or brown paper bags on cereal boxes or any other small box to make into a book. Like you say, we all have our favorites. Thank you for the challenge and encouragement! You have heard all the excuses.....
Hi Andrea❣️Thank you so much for this video, if I hadn’t watch it I would have never made such a wonderful book cover😊they turn out really neat doing all your techniques🤗thanks again🦋🦋Amy
I have to say I really really enjoy the Junk in the Trunk series. I am going to try this out this week. Maybe I will post if I get up the courage. Thank you so much for the inspiration to try something new!
I love your great ideas andera and loved all the pieces you used to make that fabulous journal cover. You really are so inspiring and wonderful to watch.
I am absolutely amazed at how "junk" can be transformed into something jawdroppingly beautiful. I'm not as good at it as you are, but I keep trying because playing with paper is so enjoyable and therapeutic. On the down side, I am not sure my new propensity to look at any piece of paper, cardboard, etc as TREASURE is going over well with the rest of my household. But I cannot help it! LOL! #paperhoarder
I saw Shannon Green using the yes paste and she sprayed water into and swirled the brush to loosen the paste up. It worked much better. Hope this helps.
How very pretty!!! Love how that turned out. I'm so grateful for your tips on how to tone down the busy pages. You're always SO brave in your creations. Love it. Thank you for sharing your expertise.
I am so sorry for your losses! It has been a tough month with a silver lining..congratulations on being a Great Aunt again! I love mixing mixed media into my journals too! Cover is so pretty! Hugs!
LOVE this!!!! TFS. So many YT videos I watch, people end up covering up virtually ALL the lovely collage work they've done underneath. So nice to see this project actually letting the collage be seen. Love the colours & style of this. TFS
I love this. I will have to get enough courage to play with this method. I love yours! I just finished one of your bee journals for a friend who just lost her husband. I will post pictures later today.

Another beautiful project... Thank you for the continued inspiration. I usually decent a bit of my yes blue and add a tiny bit of water... Similar to what you do with you collage glue pot... 💙💙
that looked like hard work with that paste . glad to see it. Terrific gesso application trick. I can tell already I have a lot to catch up on ... 1-3 to begin with. thank you. You have truly turned this into an art journal

I absolutely love your collage style. I sort of remember a video a few years ago where someone used Yes Paste to maybe do an image transfer?? Not sure now. It worked well for whatever they were doing and I wanted to buy some at the time but couldn’t find any locally. Glad about that now lol. Anyway great tutorial. Thank you.

If you scoop out a bit and add just a little water the Yes paste is pretty good you want a consistency of gel medium.
Sage Arwen thank you x
