Solution is simple. Some of my artists have been realising new albums track by track in monthly or different pace that is good enough to build up tension and convince most listeners to buy physical copies. After promoting, albums were and are available on Spotify for everyone . And that's good, at least no one is forcing artists to put music on streaming services but that is addition is also necessary in my music collection to keep track what I listen or take the music with me anywhere.

If you go to the historical record? Many people thought the pipe organ was cheating. No kidding. Bach tried his whole life to get a job as a composer. He got a teaching job (the best teach or people would learn rocket science at concerts), and Bach worked on the side tuning, fixing, and making organs.
This whole process. From RB to the commentary? Was what they said about this new, cheating, fake instrument: the pipe organ. Bach played pipe organs. No one took him seriously. He lived. Passed. And no one cared. No pomp. No real anything. Another old guy who played the fake instrument, the pipe organ.
Bach had a student. That student was a Royal. He taught his kids about Bach. One of the students’ grandkids doing concerts and writing by and about Bach (long after we lost Bach) …this was the first time Bach was acknowledged for his music and playing.
Yes. Literally. Paraphrasing: “Kids these days think the pipe organ is real. It is fake. It’s a reed instrument with keys. That is not music. They are not real musicians. They are not playing music” ~ famous musicians in Bach’s time.
Great video. Your work is real. Thanks for putting something into these videos. For real.

All employments Bach had included the obligation to compose, as exclusive "composer" did not exist in the 18th century. His employment as Cantor in Leipzig was a very prestigeous job. Could you name that royal student and the famous musician that declared pipe organs to be a fake? I have spend a good ten years studying Bachs life, and what you write sounds very weird tbh.

My knowledge of music history is thin, but exists. Domenico Scarlatti was a contemporary to JS Bach. Scarlatti married into the Spanish court and taught music lessons to a princess) while he wrote extensively for the Harpsichord. Did people in Spain refer to harpsichords as "fake guitars/harps"? If that was the sentiment, why would he be paid to teach "fake instruments" to royals?
I'm willing to change my mind or be informed of new information, just not without some documentation. Until then: "Don't believe everything you read on the Internet" -- *Abraham Lincoln* (especially if it is framed to make the art of modernity seem significantly more fashionable).

Thank You 🙏. I’ll go find what you are mentioning. I don’t utilize 1 source. I usually verify 6-12 times, over years. Not saying it is unquestionable, especially to someone with so much time in, you. So, first: no offense meant. Very sorry about any stress. I wasn’t being glib. Bach is the composer that didn’t like the piano so it looks like a lazy reference. Makes sense (what you mentioned and asked for). Again. Apologies. Many people at the time saw the organ as cheating because it emulates sound using mechanical means. And I will try to find 1 for you. I’ll do a vid so I’m not doing history in someone’s comments. Definitely not trying to get traction here. And. Yes. What you are saying is correct. We are looking back with modern eyes. He primarily fixed organs, played at church, and taught music at an orphanage. He was obligated as they were serious obligations. He constantly sought bigger appointments and was not successful the way he wanted to be. I love his resume, as is. The Royal mentioned that brought his work to attention is a quick find. There were Bach’s journals of his songs and it wasn’t complete. Like people still debating whether he wrote Toccata and Fugue in D minor, BWV 565 now. And he also did what we call “covers.” I believe 70-100 years after he passed there was a recital organized that led to a revival of his work in the form of the first attempt at a catalog of Bach’s works. I will go look and find what you asked. I’m curious as well for the specific things you said. The Royal whose grandparent was Bach’s student either organized the recital or was part of it if I am taking too long. My main sources for what I am saying here are Bach’s translated notes and journals, Encyclopaedia Britannica, and historical translation of Bach’s annotations from the BWV catalog. Not saying that is iron clad as I read translated content. I value the actual story like you are mentioning. Any inaccuracy from me, or the sources is entirely accidental. Thank you again for helping clarify @@johannalvarsson9299 …and a serious apology to you and everyone for creating any ruffled anything. Thank You 🙏. I wasn’t talking about harpsichords and you make a great point @@brianbergmusic5288 …what I mentioned were opinions of the organ in Bach’s time- the majority of the planet didn’t know what an organ was so it would be a comment limited to opinion of people local to Bach or people that knew of him and organs, not popular opinion. I apologize for any vagueness on my part. Your comment is intense. I will go and check that out (for fun). The books are there. I’m not a professional historian. I’m a history enthusiast. And your knowledge is impressive.
I’m doing a video on this to avoid mass comments in someone else’s stream. I will definitely get a certified expert on this and run it all by them or ask them to do an interview to clarify. I think the point is when making music, ultimately, you can’t exclusively rely on modern day music tech tools because it becomes a crux and sucks out the creativity. Also, musicianship is still very valuable and an integral part of great music making.
“I find it so amazing that when people tell me that electronic music has not got soul, and they blame the computers because they think and they point at the computer - it’s like “there’s no soul here!” It’s like, you can’t blame the computer. If there’s no soul in the music it’s because nobody put it there and it’s not the tool’s fault.”

I was born in the 90's and got into music without having been born into a musical family, yet find myself agreeing witth everything he says and feels about the value of music. It's about how much we used to care and how it's lost because of the current technologies; it IS sad. I'M sad about everything he complains about; sterilization, quantizing, all very anti-music and anti-human as he says it is. I can't imagine someone calling themselves a musician and not having the width of understanding needed to understand what he's really complaining about. And I'm under 30, so you can't just call me an old man screaming at clouds; that's such a lame thing to say.

I was also born in the 90’s don’t be nostalgic. Those days are gone. Good music is still being made and will be made. Just because it’s different than what we grew up doesn’t make it bad.

    • @The_Accuser

It was never because of the technology though. It was about greedy major label CEOs. It was because Bill Clinton allowed private cable Radio and TV to form monopolies and thus kill college radio and thousands of independent record labels. So what we hear in the Top 100 is definitely not as diverse as it used to be since the nineties.
If used creatively and bravely, technology can keep the progress of good music going forward.
Listen to modern music by someone like David Tipper or Shpongle. They continue the tradition of what artists like Brian Wilson, The Beatles, Queen, Talking Heads have done before: Utilize the most of cutting edge technology and play the studio as if it were an instrument of it's own right. Only now instead of playing analog studios, now DAW studios are played as instruments.
You know, what people like Beato don't tell you, is that back in the day, fans of Bob Dylan boycotted him because he started playing an electric guitar. "Oh dear, how can you ever get something as loud as that to create REAL music?!"
Or fans of the EARLY Beatles said that Strawberry Fields wasn't the REAL Beatles anymore. (Thus Paul must certainly have died in 1966) Or EARLY rock fans saying that Jimi Hendrix wasn't REAL rock music, just a bunch of noise with TOO much wah-wah, distortion, phasers. Every decade has it's new purists. Disco fans complaining about House tracks being tooo long, too minimalistic.

He also hilariously misunderstood a lot of what Rick said, even though none of it was especially complicated or hard to follow. I'm basically with Rick on this one. There's a lot of good music being made by non-mainstream sources right now. The mainstream now however is insultingly moronic to a an almost educationally subnormal degree. And while there was a lot of terrible stuff in the 60's thru to 90's, there were also a lot of mainstream artist producing quality music with something to say. Who cares how you make music. But I do get some of his points. Everything is evolving, the end game I don't know what it will mean.

Rick Beato should do some tutorials about doing it ''right'' instead of just complaining music is too easy..

He did do a lot of educational stuff back in the day. I'm quite educated musically, but I learned a lot from some of the vids, especially the stuff on deriving harmony from the Modes of limited transposition, and the modes of the harmonic/melodic minor. Stuff like set theory, pitch classes and their application to post tonal composition clicked for me after that. He probably doesn't do that now because he's got a wife.three kids and a mortgage to pay. I'd love to see more of that stuff. Unfortunately many people including musicians and producers don't want to see that stuff. You can see them in the comments now, moaning and missing the point.

We're the generation where a household will hold more jobs simultaneously then our parents had over the course of their lives. Yet we haven't worked/earned enough to enjoy/ create music?

Google trends isn’t based off the keyword search it’s based off the terms overall relevance, if someone typed in “lil b swag like Ohio” it would count towards musics overall google trend

Recent vs "new". Eddies in the flow of time. We all encounter stuff in unique order. The first time you encounter something it is new to you but may not be recent ?
