Booking a professional studio to work on your laptop with a Scarlett Focusrite interface resting on the console is the producer version of those instagram models who book a private plane to stay in the hangar while they take selfies.
Addressing one’s own beef from their main account on their secondary account and criticizing one’s self from third person. Weaver Beats on some 5d chess shizz lol genius
I find it funny that they're both using laptops, not that you can't use laptops but what I'm trying to say are they even using the expensive gear in that studio for at least the mix? Generally speaking I don't think there's really a difference where you're making a beat but there are benefits to having a room that's acoustically treated
the reason they have there monitors positioned like that is all because of a photo taken of bruce sweden when he was working on thrillier. they took a photo for a interview and it was the photographers decission too position them like that because it looked cooler..but after that photo people then thought thats what you have to do with your monitors so they copied it then it eventually turned into a myth you need to do this. in the many studios i worked in during the 90s all of the studios they tried this but soon put them back to normal way because producers complained the sound didnt sound right..then one day i was working with a producer who had worked with bruce and he explained the myth too me..its also the same picture that made people buy yamaha ns10s..he explained when bruce was mixing the monitors in the studio broke so bruce asked one of the neighbours had they got some speakers to lend them for a few days ,,the neighbour said yep and showd him these crappy ns10s which were designed for home hifis not studios..bruce was desperate so said ok ill borrow those and they look cool (black/white)..he hooked them up and thats when the photographer came in and said hey lets take a photo of you with those speakers positioned sideways in the background.. on the proper mixs they didnt use the ns10s it was just a temporary solution but they then became the you need to buy the ns10s too be a producer myth lol. every studio bought them in the 90s but once bought and hooked up people realised they were shit but felt stupid taking them back so kept them but most never hooked them up they had them because clients had seen them in big studio pics and thought to be a pro studio you needed them ,but in real life they were a nightmare to mix on due too them having no low end and they boosted the upper mids so hurt your ears.
I can explain the whole tweeter on the inside thing, but I'm too high and lazy to type it out so i'll catch you next time. Not that I'm for it, but I've heard the other side (and disagreed)
Okay so... how in Satan's actual hell did I never realize how fucking fire the baseline for Hotel California is? It's like the best thing since fried bread. I would remix that thing just for kicks even. (Sorry, way out of context I know..but I'm kinda blown away rn and had to say it somewhere. This is the only community I could think of that wouldn't just herd blink at the idea and/or "cool story bro" me. 😆)
people using a 1000 dollar studio to make trap beats always makes me laugh. Its funny when u see a engineer panel and its like dave pensado and other prominent engineers then at the end of the panel its like metro boomin or something lol like why are u here.
Weaver has internet glitches I've never experienced since TH-cam's inception, where have you seen a video stop and force 720p?? 🤣 And every now and then bro just drops out for actual seconds then comes back even though this is from twitch and its supposed to be edited. I truly don't even understand how this works but it just makes it funnier.
When one of the groups was using the step sequencer and the beat wasn't lining up with the rhythm on the sample I was just thinking about they could have laid drum samples on a track and just lined them up with the sample by eye.
my speculation why is because you tend to mix the highs wider and the lows more center. it points it more out if the highs are too tight and the lows/low mid are too wide
on firefox you can break out the video - hover the video that's playing and an icon appers on side of it - then you get a resizable video that you can hover over everything
WTAF is the point of using a fancy studio just to make a beat on FL Studio with your Chromebook and Scarlett interface? At least they finally *tried* to play some synths at the end lol...
From the look of those monitors they look like ns10m's. Yamahas famous model. As far as the positioning I think it has more to do with the listening position when you're sitting there also those particular speakers don't typically produce low-end passed like 40-50hz, so you won't feel like rumble just thump
about the speaker monitors: I don't have any, but I think I would put them vertical, with the tweeter on top, like this: 8. Honestly, even with the tweeter on the side, I think there will be some masking. Plus, our ears are tuned to think high sounds come from top and bass sounds from the ground. I think is the most natural position.
First one was best but not super impressed with either. When you think it wasnt just the $10 or $1000 but also three producers on each. I reckon that in itself is a major problem, nobody wanting to step on each others toes. Someone needed to own that shit. Dude wanting to use shaperbox sounded like he had a vision. It was fun and entertaining ngl.
@@kickcloudstvyes it does, but unlike splice and so forth tracklib has actual music that was written and recorded by legendary musicians. 9th wonder did a sample challenge colab with tracklib using music by Bob James off tracklib
Isn't it bc low end needs more time to develop? May be wrong but I think I heard someone say that's why some opt for a more near field or far field tool, idk tho I still don't understand
They are both making beat on a laptop.. doesn't matter where they are making it...The big studio or any studio for that matter would not be needed at this stage...also the big studio does have the ns-10's set up wrong...
Never heard of these lads but they really don’t look like they know what they’re doing. You really have to speed up and slow down the whole sample that many times?? Ffs your brain should know how it sounds faster. They’re not doing any cooking!! Just pulling ingredients out of the cupboard then putting them back. I got more infuriated than I should have watching this
there are literally websites discussing why people do both daleproaudio.com/blogs/dale-tech-corner/tweeters-in-or-out-using-your-studio-monitors-horizontally
the first beat is generic, safe, and simple, and the second beat for me is the winner, it's creative, not anyone can flip a sample like that in 1 hour,

he can do everything 😀
They definitely spent more than 1 hour working on that bs
Lol😂
😂
“Bs” 😮💅
Only took busy 50 years to get sound treatment, I'm actually proud of him 😂
he's in his late 80's now, still going!
@@DarkMetaOFFICIAL 😆😆😆😆
they've literally spent the first 45 minutes just pitching it up and down
That’s what I was thinking too 😂
how am i just seeing this 😅
10 dollars a day my ass 😂 I could just live in the studio for $300 a month

Watching a guy watch 2 videos at once is gonna be the new big thing.

Tweeters inside is what’s recommended from speaker manufacturers. It keeps the stereo image in its place as opposed to super wide

Pirate studio is dope as f honestly. I love graffiti. why would you need a fulli fledged recording studio for producing a beat...
I think it’s $10 an hour
ah, that makes sense
@@WeaverBeats2lol love the content man.
the laptop and $100 scarlett sitting on a muti thousand dollar board is such a metaphor for modern music
Did they use any of the stuff in 1000 dollar one ?
If the monitors have a bass port then they are supposed to only be setup according to the manufacturers specifications.
Seeing my stream comments on a YT vid has validated my existence. I no longer feel the need to self terminate. God Bless Weaver.
ima charge people 50 dollars to record a 5 second vocal phrase in my closet

I meant busywork beats is probably right🤷♂️
Anyone have a link to that Hiraita Hiraita sample? Trying to find it. Is that splice theyre using?
nah it's track lib
@kickcloudstv yeah just got to their ad placement. Damn really dont want another subscription lol.

Weaver softens the cringe of these industry plants.
The expensive studio definitely had the better beat undeniably. The $10 one sounded like a robot made it after going for a swim.
that engagement bit was mad funny
They're working too slow...
Dual concentric monitors are the best! It’s impossible to put them on the wrong side.
oh damn

yo that duck was eating to the tempo of the beat
The song I made in my bedroom last night sounds basically as good, and it didn't cost $10.

you won t have lows on the side cuz u have the woofer

Tweets on the inside is normal for horizontal monitors bud lol
there are literally websites discussing why people do both
daleproaudio.com/blogs/dale-tech-corner/tweeters-in-or-out-using-your-studio-monitors-horizontally
@WeaverBeats2lol ultimately it just depends on how the cabinets are designed but imo I prefer inside because speaker placement is more forgiving

They are taking so much time to program the drums just finger drum it and you are done.
💯% 👊🧡👍
you gonna finger drum some drill drums?
@@botbot3698 yup 👍
I'd just play with the synths and not get anything done. As usual.
