Comes across simple, straightforward and effortless. Also the notes on Fragrantica are incomplete. They are: Clove, Pimento, prune, plum, Iris, Vetiver, Vanilla, Ambrette and Carrot seeds. Hello Rich. Thank you for your review. I've command it on tester 2 days ago, then a full bottle and waiting to arrive. I'm wondering if you can give some examples of "game changing" perfume. I mean, does Overture Man is the game changer to compete with ? Do you see my point here ? As far as I love Overture Man, as an example, I'm still looking for brighter but still elegant perfume. I found this perfume to be an honest sent compared to many and it's spot on to what I'm looking to. I see your point don't get me wrong. It is not "L'Heure Bleue" or "Vol de Nuit", but I like it for what it is unshamingly. I found it more poetic than many loud "L'Art et la Matière" today's collection, and certainly more honest and elegant than any Clive Christian. It is, in my book, a very good perfume, made with a soul. And there is not so many out there really (in my humble opinion).

I got a sample of it @ the store yesterday & for me: it’s a pleasant floral clove with a bit of spice. I thought it was pretty resonant coming off my arm though. Good women’s fragrance for the winter time imo
Great review and at least this one didn't have you spitting feathers, which as a duck might be worrying. Sounds like it's worth trying but nothing to wow folk in the aisles.
i tried the last new one last year uncut gem and wasnt a fan, and this doesnt sound the best either to say the least - but i am a fan of Malle though, i have some older formulations bottles which are the best, promise still my fav with poal and monseuir

My heart sank when I saw the next Malle would be by Ellena, I'd just like something with blatant audacity like Roucel or a symphonic floral à la Ropion.
Uncut Gem was terrible lol. I had Uncut Gem ranked as 43rd of 50 last year. I'm not into Malle that much, but it's funny to hear someone dislike it as much as me.
- uncircumcised gem is the worst smelling fragrance I've tried in years - HCW sounds similar to dan tes bras with the powder & sweetness - they chose a terrible name, because Heaven can't get here fast enough
The most recent release for me that was up to par from Malle is Synthetic Jungle. It is a lily of the valley with a green facet, very 70s but sufficiently distinct and recognisable.
