This is a great collaboration between Home Free & The Oak Ridge Boys. "Elvira" was a huge hit for The Oakridge Boys in 1981. You can see the great respect these 2 groups have for each other. The Oakridge Boys are mentors to Home Free & it is like they are passing the baton to a younger version of themselves. They have performed together on the Grand Ole Opry. Adam Rupp's vocal percussion is the best in the business. He can simulate drums & any other sounds perfectly. Home Free is my favorite a cappella group. They are so talented yet very humble guys.

Their collaborations with the legendary Oak Ridge Boys are epic! Another one with them is "Beautiful Star of Bethlehem" - utterly gorgeous. HF also has collaborations with Kenny Rogers ("Children Go where I send thee"), Alabama ("Christmas in Dixie"), Lee Greenwood ("God Bless the USA), Don McLean ("American Pie", "Vincent") and Texas Hill ("Dreamer Live", "Go Tell It on the Mountain", "Givin' Up on You").

The Oak Ridge Boys are a Country/Gospel group started in 1943 in Oak Ridge Tennessee with the name Oak Ridge Quartet became popular Southern Gospel Singers in the 1950’s.Their group name changed to The Oak Ridge Boys in the 1960’s they sang gospel till the 1970’s then changed to country/gospel.They released Elvira in 1981.The title of the song was inspired not by the name of a woman, but by the name of a street in East Nashville, Tennessee.Was written and sung by Dallas Frazier in 1966.

I LOVE Home Free! They are sooo incredibly talented! HF has a HUGE catalog of cover songs AND originals! They will keep you busy for a long time if you dive down that rabbit hole.

The Oak Ridge Boys are Country Legends. Home Free has many songs with iconic Artists like The Oak Ridge Boys, Alabama, Kenny Rogers, Don MacLean, Lee Greenwood, and Mark Wills.

The younger guys are Home Free. The Oak Ridge Boys are currently doing their final tour- 50 years. They are in their 80s now

Chris left in 2016 and Adam Chance joined Home Free then (not in this video, but shoul you continue and see an unfamiliar face, it's probably Chance).
I might have assigned them a role, and most of the time they stay in their respective roles, but truthfully they all have great vocal ranges and switch roles occasionally, especially Tim and Chance.
And yes, Home Free does a lot of country, but many other genres, too. They don't restrict themselves. Definitely worth checking out and vanish into their rabbit holes.

Yeah Home Free is amazing. (Maybe not the best first video to watch as there are two groups mixed together). Oak Ridge Boys had a huge hit with this over 40 years ago. Such a good rendition. I would try Home Free’s version of End of the Road (Boyz II Men cover) and Blue Ain’t Your Color. You might really like those. Enjoy!!!

I was never a country fan, but the Oak Ridge Boys made that cross over onto the pop stations. The older guys were them. Just a great range of vocals. First time hearing Home Free. That bass.

If you like Home Free, you'll definitely want to check out a collab between Tim Foust and Austin Brown. Tim is the bass singer of HF and Austin is the recently departed lead tenor from HF. It's a backyard (i.e. casual) performance of My Maria (Brooks & Dunn). You'll be surprised to see that Tim sings the high parts in it. He has said that when HF needs harmonies above lead tenor, that he is the one to cover them.
The guy with the moustache, that you liked, is Joe Bonsall. He had to retire, at the start of this year, because of a serious medical issue. Another good Oak Ridge Boy song is American Made.

HomeFree is good but VoicePlay is my favorite of the acapella groups. VoicePlay were on "The Sing Off" with HomeFree. VoicePlay & Geoff Castellucci (VoicePlay''s bass) helped with arrangement of this song. I would love for you to do a reaction to VoicePlay. My favorite song by them is Valhalla Calling. Geoff Castellucci has his own channel and he has several country songs, Unshaken, Ghost Riders in The Sky, Folsom Prison Blues are just a few.
