That car never broke, ran amazing, looked really really good, was hands down had the most technology of any car “besides a Tesla of course”
Manufacturers of the top of the line are not marketing to the secondary market, they only care about the first owner, what happens after the warranty is out doesn't matter. The people who buy the Lexus care more about resale value, the person buying the Caddy cares less. For anyone who cannot drop 120k and not financially feel it, buy the Lexus. The capability is a big plus, but truth be told, at least for where i live, its never being used off road. I live an hour minimum from anywhere that has off road trails. The Escalade is just superior in everything else. It’s bigger, lighter, can tow more, bigger and better engines, better looking. And the Escalade is definitely reliable. Go into some not so nice parts of LA county and you will see where all the old Escalades ended up. And they hold up despite the lack of maintenance by the owners and the rough roads of these not so nice areas. And im talking old Escalades, not some 5 year old one.

I had to look up Dua Lipa. Turns out I've heard it before a lot on Diplo Revolution I think. I learned something today in addition to realizing the USD is tanking based on these vehicle prices alone.
It's interesting to me that these huge 3 row SUVs all begin their usefulness as a family/kids hauler. But by the time they're 7, 8, 10+ years old that demographic of buyers typically isn't looking for the same thing rather they want a big 4x4 that's good in winter, capable off road and can haul stuff, often eschewing their 3rd row seats all together by removing them permanently. Large SUVs are amazingly versatile, especially over their later years.
Lexus is gonna last about 10-15 years and you can do actual offroading cuz we dont have roads in pakistan but these cars the Toyota brand in itself is so reliable ♥️
As of now, i own a 2021 LX 570 and its been 2 years of ownership and i am already tired of it. The thing is the tech inside the vehicle is 2000's even though many people would agree for the fact that it is reliable and good resale value. I've even owned a Land Cruiser. it was the same issue with it. My advice to someone buying these vehicles is that, If you plan on keeping cars for atleast 10 years or more, you can go for Toyota/Lexus but you intend to change vehicles every 6-7 years then you can go for any American SUV. I paid around 540K AED (147K USD) for the Lexus. But apart from the interior quality , the rest is just not up to the level. I even own a Mercedes S-Class coupe 2020 the car is fantastic and one more thing i would loke to say is that, if you maintain your car very well regardless of any brand then it can even last a life.
Escalade has a screen to show You what you would normally see out of a windshield. Great job Cadillac. First creat a problem where one should not exist and then make a solution to this problem. That is a masterclass in many ways... 😂
I hate all this toyota/lexus guys always talking about reliability , come on! Not all of us car lovers want to drive a corolla for the rest of our life!
That's how they justify their 10-year old technology in these vehicles. Same thing with 4Runner guys, you point out how a Wrangler absolutely dominates them in pretty much any off-road scenario, and their comeback is always something about reliability. Full disclosure, I own one of those 4runners, so I'm not hating on them. I'm just realistic about it.
I like the looks of the escalade but I prefer the lexus for the offroad capability and long term durability. Better still, I'd just get a Land Cruiser, because the bumper of the lexus is too low and really restricts the offroad capability, which is what the Land Cruiser this truck was based on was made for.
I believe the assumptions about the Lexus are correct. GM hasn’t managed to make a reliable (electronics especially) half ton pickup in years. What a perfect comparison. I test drove the LX yesterday and tried to get one for the Escalade but there were none available. The LX was solid and luxurious. But it definitely felt like I was driving a very nice car from 20 years ago. While the Escalade had this very imposing “WOW” factor when you see it in person. I want to love General Motors, but I cannot. I’ve owned an Escalade and have a GX460. The LX is a far better vehicle by almost any measure. For 100k plus, is longevity a concern? It should be. Yes! The Cadillac is absolutely amazing!!! But the depreciation on Cadillac is terrible. I’m getting one for my wife for sure, but I’ll wait a couple years let someone else take that $50k loss😂
I love y'all's videos, I'm from Arkansas, and yesterday, Sunday, March 21, I was traveling home through the Ouachita National Park and saw 3 new Escalades hauling huge boats off of Lake Ouachita!!! They're towing with them!
Those Cadillac Escalade are hands down the best looking SUV. All of the Cadillac products look cool, but man they don’t hold there value. I bought Cadillac XTS 4 platinum with a window sticker of $80,000 new. I paid $28,000 and it only had 32,000 miles and it was only 2 years old. When we got rid of the car it was only worth $10k and it was 5 years old🤬. From $80k-$10k in only 5 years. That car never broke, ran amazing, looked really really good, was hands down had the most technology of any car “besides a Tesla of course”
Polars bears don't live in Antarctica dad haha
I prefer the LX It’s more of a classic look to it interior wise.
I think the Lexus looks better on the outside. The Escalade just has the better/newer technology.
And that newer technology will just break. I guarantee
The Lexus has too much grille, which makes it ugly. Looks wise, the Caddy wins.
I rarely agree with Tommy, but I do here, too much electronics to fail, and it will. My 03 Yukon XL Denali will be with me until I am gone, newer vehicles are designed for short term thinking.
You’ll need the extra space to relax when the tow truck comes to pick you up because That Cadillac is constantly gonna break down on like the Lexus is going to continue to keep going

The capability is a big plus, but truth be told, at least for where i live, its never being used off road. I live an hour minimum from anywhere that has off road trails.

Nice. I suppose Lexus IS more exclusive also. Won’t pass one every other minute😄
