Pro Tip: If you want to test the camera to see if it winds film. Use an old expired roll of film. Load it up. Test the camera. Then? Push the roll back into the film cartridge and use it again. Oh and best to label the film "Test Film, Exposed" as the film at this point will just be a piece of brown plastic.
@@westonwright6113 why would I buy something when I already have trash. Heck sometimes just keep the roll of film found in a used camera. Anyways. This method of testing a camera is good. This way at least you know mechanically it works. Now does the lightmeter work? I would test against a real light meter or at minimum a phone app
There is apparently a new trend on TH-cam where all speech breaks are edited out, leaving one endless and excruciating stream of speech. It makes an otherwise really interesting video impossible to endure.
Interesting you mentioned the film cameras as old but not the digital cameras that are old.. Those instaxcameras start at $60 and go up . Some old film cameras are worth more than digital cameras , Do your research on them before you say they are not worth much. Just saying.
Yeah, I saw him only increase the value by like 10 bucks for the Olympus Infinity Tele, and I knew that could go for at least 70 bucks if it's working.
i know for certain that the powershot g5 at the start of the video is not junk i know for certain that the canonet rangefinder is not junk i will gladly take it off you for a "couple of dollars" if you want.
The Canonette is a very usable and beloved little film camera. Also, those very early digitals are quite sought after and have dedicated communities with some very skilled photographers producing amazing results.
Did you know that Ricoh made cameras for all the big/expensive makes. Inc rolleiflex/olympus/canon + more & a lot of the home brand were badged Ricoh & in the USA a large chain badged there name on Ricoh cameras( Sears) O & Ricoh Owens Pentax.
Worth some research on those film cameras, some are worth more than you think. Try some batteries in them and get them working. Why not put a roll of film through the better ones. You’d be surprised what you get.
11:35 I actually have one of these cameras! It’s either the argus C-4 or C-44. They are basically the same, the 44 is basically the mk ii of the C-4. I got it quite a few years ago and have taken a lot of photos on it. Great video as always!
About three years ago, I bought a similar lot of cameras to yours at a lost property auction. I won the lot for about 200 AUD. There were lots of CCD digital cameras, which can sell for good money these days. It also had some Fuji Instax cameras. The most expensive ones were a Canon G5X Mark II and a Leica Instax camera that I kept for myself, along with a Panasonic DV camera that was worth 800 AUD at the time. I think I just hit the jackpot that day!🎉🎉🎉🎉😊😊😊😊
06:30 Nineties camera? The canon G5 (not the GS)? Dude that camera came out in 2003. I know because I had one! Tell me your Gen Z without telling me you’re Gen Z! 😂 07:07 And was that a Canon Sure shot 35mm camera you passed over without even talking about it? Those things are classics dude and worth a few quid (couple of bucks) but you didn’t even add anything to your tally!
Sell the Instax cameras for $20 each - they will fly. Some of the film compacts fetch $10-$50 each - worth looking into. Sell the rest for $50-$100. Profit, plus a G100 is a big win.
I saw a Vivitar v3000s as you were flashing through the ones you didn't show. That midel was my first SLR, and it is all mechanical, the battery is only for the light meter.
Ricoh kr5 is Pentax k mount similar to the k1000 ….. The canon g5 still makes nice images. I have the g9, g10 and g12…. Does it power up? It takes the same battery as the 5 d classic. I might be interested in it. We live in the same area
I started off collecting Argus cams back in the 70's. It looks like a c4 or c44. Still have my Canon g17 Canonet film cam. Great little 35mm cams & somewhat collectable. But,,, one of my fave everyday cams is my Lumix g100. M 4/3's. Don't discount the little kit lens. It is decent. It was sold as vlogging cam but wasn't all that great. It is however a great little stills camera. I also have the Ricoh Kr5. Very much like a Pentax K1000 as I recall. It's been years since I shot with it, though.
bro is so lucky, I take good photos with my phone and I'm ready to upgrade to a dslr for photography and this dude able to but all of that, why is everything so expensive.
Another amazing video man. You ve grown so much !! Congrats on the 100k !! That Lumix is great and some 35mm film cameras are pretty good. I would keep 1 or 2 and sell the rest :)
After watching the Arri Alexa video, I realized you enjoy a bit of a gamble. I have to admit, I was half-expecting you to find a rock in the Lumix box, so I’m relieved to see it’s actually a G100 in great condition! Keep up the fun and chilled vids!
Photographer/Videographer Life Hack: If you don't want dust and debris on your sensor...don't point your sensor upwards when you take your lens off. Whenever you take your lens off, point your camera body at the ground. Also blow off your lens and body caps before putting them back on your lenses and cameras.
I used an almost identical Ricoh SLR back in my film days. It uses Pentax K mount lenses. Unfortunately nobody that I know of makes a digital body that uses K mount these days. And that Argus looks a lot like the camera my dad used to shoot 35mm slides on back in the 'late '60s.
Pentax still produces APS-C and full frame DSLRs that will accept film era K-Mount lenses. Gotta watch out for old lenses with the “Ricoh” pin though. They can still be used with the pin removed.
I'm wanting to record old timers in my area talking about what things were like when they were kids. Is there a cheap video recorder that you would recommend? Don't want to spend a fortune just for something to record several two or three hours videos.
If you don’t want something from that box I’d be happy to buy form you I’m an amateur photographer and would love to own my very own film camera specifically 35mm
Can i have the g100... I am a beginner photographer and i have a Canon rebel t3 but im looking for an upgrade so i can start doing portrait photography... Tysm

cool if you don't value your time in trying to resell and don't care about ebay fees. Sighhhh why can't you be like kingjvps and find leicas? why not just buy a g100 off the bat

Ok that explains why some videos are actually tiring to watch. It’s just a constant stream of unwanted stimulation.

don't sleep on that Canonet 28; if you can clean it up, they resell for decent money. vintage rangefinders are very popular

B&H Autoload one will sell for a good price, it’s a great competitor to Yashica rangefinders
HP made some great digital cameras back in the day.
My first digital point and shoot was an HP. It had a Pentax counterpart …. Same model number and everything. Great camera
Congratulations,G100 is a very good small camera for travel. Its LCD screen is 3 “ 1840K dots ,bright and clear. You are the winner😊
The newer old Polorid cameras had the battery as part of the film pack, so you get a new battery with every pack of film.
Seen this guy in somebodys Comments section and subbed to him. Never looked back great content.
