LOVELY 88 !! This kit is much maligned but it doesnt take too much work . I built Zvezda's crappy 1/72 kit in this same scheme . A little suggestion - to keep the accelerator away from clear parts put the glue on the antennae first and spray the accelerator onto the thread away from the model ; act quickly and bring the two together and bingo . I ruined a natural metal finish once with accelerator so now I am cautious with nearly finished models !
Thanks! Glad you like it. The decision of leaving the cowling area unpainted is because I found a picture of the exact same aircraft right after a hard landing and from the angle the picture was taken, the right engine had a clean cowling, probably replaced from another aircraft, that's why I even made the spots not line up with the existing scribbled ones from the rest of the panels, just a little detail that gave more story to the model. makes it more interesting in my opinion.
You are much braver than I when it comes to camouflage schemes. Great job. Though with all that camo I always wonder whether the black basing and highlights can even be seen. Just use oil paint weathering for the same result. Regardless great job and model.
I like to mix both techniques, I didn't do a lot of work with the weathering because the pictures I had I found them pretty clean, I've got great results using black basing in the past, sadly the green scribbles hide most of it, but I'm pleased with the result.
The Ju88 is one of the most satisfying models to build because their were so many variations
I like the look of a G6 it just looks the part . Thanks Sreve U.K.
I think I've been sitting on this obscure kit since 2001.. thanks for the great inspiration. That squiggle pattern's mighty daunting.
Obscure ? Not in the UK . Have you built it yet ?
Who dares wins.!!!!.Excellent build and fantastic paint job..🇬🇧👍

Two questions, One: Why didn't you camouflage the right upper cowling or Two: Camouflage the canopy? Regardless the kit looks fantastic
Thanks!
Glad you like it.

exellent job! this version has 2 MG-151/20 +2 MG-17 machineguns under the belly?
This is such an epic build! I was wondering if you were going to upload it to TH-cam.
Thank you! It took more time than expected to edit the video, but it's finally out. Glad you liked it
Good result.
Not without the flaws but still
That's positive....☹
Wow
Это исторический камуфляж или вымышленный?
