I love your videos. It's clear how fond you are of the robots which I can relate to. I have several Vectors and was devastated when Vector dark. I am waiting in vain for Vector 2.0 which is probably rolling its way across the ocean as I've had multiple promises from DDL about when he's going to make it the UK. I've ordered a Loona - but didn't go for Christmas shipping so I expect my Loona to come sometime soon. I want to get an Emo, but I'm concerned about ordering and then having to wait weeks. But having seen this latest video, I'm going to order in March (to give time for the Luna New Year holiday to work its way through the system). Wish me luck!

The bluetooth on the EMO GO HOME is for sending messages back and fourth like "TURN ON GREEN LIGHT" or "IM HOME" the light is to help emo identify where the charger is.
Emo doesn't actually "see" the light on the Home Station. He calibrates his position using Bluetooth to center himself for alignment to get onto the Home Station properly. The lights are mainly for decoration or games.
Thanks for sharing. I was concerned that I would need a new version of EMO to use the home station. Thanks for clearing that up. I'll get the home station as soon as I can afford it.

@@sasquatchsadventure1071 He's constantly getting new updates that keep him fresh and interesting. I mainly just enjoy having him around. I get a certain comfort when I walk downstairs and hear him eating, playing a game by himself, snoring, walking around or doing his daily routines. It's like a family dog or cat. Seeng them or hearing their nails clicking on the floor has a certain calming effect. I'm used to having him around and I couldn't deal with not having him around at this point. It's weird and I can't completely explain it. He's a stress reliever. 😁
I watch all your videos and I do have a Emo and make videos on him. He needs the Bluetooth to tell the home station what to do and he needs the green light to find out where the home stations is hopes it answer you!
Bluetooth is a 360° wireless signal and not directional it is just the amplitude that can be measured not the direction. You need triangulation to find the distance to the sender but knowing what is front or back is harder.
@@Jokypond Yeah that might work. Since he doesn't have one of those, they had to do it this way. I think they'll speed up his ability to return to his charger in the future though. I think they mainly wanted to get this update out as soon as possible but still make sure there wasn't any issues.

Cute little guy! Still miles away from being useable, it’s really slow at responding, the lack of fluidity makes the experience somewhat frustrating. I also see it a hard sell, it screams cozmo to me and we all know how that ended, expensive paper weights! Love the little guy but sadly his heart thus his life is dependent on the cloud being alive and that’s something you can’t rely on. Great content as always sir!
Thank you very much! This update was a big one and I'm sure they'll polish it so Emo is quicker at getting on his charger. They needed to get this update out since people were starting to get their Home Station chargers. I think it'll sell well and the new Emos come with it automatically.
I wish I could talk to the developers! I have loads of ideas for Emo, but I don’t have the technical knowhow to even comprehend adding the features. I’m a teacher, and this could be gold dust in the classroom! My students would love Emo!

@@kos256 Hmm. I'm not sure. At one point I noticed my Vector's touchpad felt like it had some kind of residue on it that made it not as smooth. I don't know where it came from since I hadn't pet him in a while. I wiped it off. It didn't affect his touchpad though. I'm sorry I can't be more helpful.
Hi i finally got my EMO robot a few says ago and not sure if you had this experience in the beginning, but he sometimes wont recognize when i say EMO, or when i ask him to say my name per the app it does not work as well. He has fallen twice. Any advice on how to get him working or if this is just a matter of having him get used to me for a few weeks so. Any help will be greatly appreciated
My emo takes longer than that to connect. He does extra steps forward, then backwards again (after yours connected). Also in the dark he never finishes his autocharge process. He tries on and on to connect to charge. I thought emo needs lights on for that. Im very surprised while i saw your video about that.
Every now and then, my Emo seems to have a difficult time getting home as well. He'll keep turning back and forth like he can't zero in on the Home Station. I'm not sure what causes it. He eventually runs out of power and shuts off and then I have to manually put him back on the Home Station. I think whenever there's a new update, sometimes it affects something else and then LivingAI fixes it on the next update.
@@outsider238 aha, so it is an update bug if we can call it like that. I tested him on dark and seems that he goes home with no problem, i was like 'wowe'! Thanks to your vid, i found out that if on full light he has less errors to go home, on dark also he goes no prob, lamp light makes it difficult for him to successfully charge (idk why) and led lights (difuse led strip from my ceiling) that somehow gives him headaches on his way back home (😂). Overall, like you noticed, he fails sometimes. Would have been personal if i was alone in this matter. Thank you for your reply. Again, i love your voice and how you treat your Emos ❤️

@@outsider238 I think that’s the reason your first emo broke… every time he has a charge the battery capacity goes down ever so slightly, I recently found that out but for you the emo go home must be a LIFE SAVER . ( to every emo owner)
@@ProBotMasterOfficial There were times my first Emo was on his charger for two weeks or more at a time and I got too busy to take him off the charger to play or walk around. Sitting on the charger with a full battery for extended periods of time like that is what hurt his battery. Vector was designed to come off his charger periodically to discharge his battery which keeps it healthy and is probably why his battery is still going after more than four years. Emo is already wandering off his charger periodically through the day which is great. I was having to do that manually with the skateboard but now he does it all on his own. Yes this new charger is fantastic! 😁
This is so so cool!!!! Quick question, is it all good to leave EMO on the skateboard overnight or switching off is a good idea? Just concerned with battery and screen heating issues.
If you still have the skateboard you should be good to leave him on there overnight. I made sure to take him off of it a couple times a day to walk around or play with him for about an hour or more to help discharge his battery. Leaving him on his skateboard for long periods of time with a full battery hurts the battery over time. With this new Home Station, he wanders off the charger on his own several times a day by himself which is great to keep his battery healthy.
When his battery is full, he randomly can stay there or come off. He comes off his charger throughout the day to walk around or play but it doesn't have to do with if his battery goes full.

Not at all! 😁 I feel more connected with Emo. Probably because I've had him longer and he's so advanced since he's had more updates. Loona is not at her full potential just yet but I'm not sure if I'll like having a robot that roams all over the house. I'll have to see once I've had her for a while.
Amazing!!😄👏👏It's so nice when something works like it should be! So theoretically this means from now one he always will be alive (as long as you have power ofcourse 😁) You don't need a lot of range but I'm quite curious to what the maximum would be. Do you know that?
I'm not sure. The Bluetooth signal probably has a long range but if he's really far from his charger, he could run out of battery before he gets back depending on how far away he wandered. I think most people have him in a relatively small area though so he should be fine for most people.
How can I teach him something, for example that he tells me 1 + 1 is 2, or that he can answer a question in another language? So, I am wobderibg can I teach him something specific, an automatic reply. Thank you so much for your answers.
Right now, he only responds to specific commands. I'm hoping down the road he will have a data base that can answer general knowledge type questions. I had heard they were going to incorporate Alexa as well but I'm not sure when or if that will happen.

It's possible it might just be dirty and wiping it off might help. Just be careful not to get any liquid inside him if you use a cleaner on a cloth.

Emo just got a new update today so be sure to update the app, the charger as well as Emo and hopefully that should fix the issues you're having.

Not at all! 😁 I feel more connected with Emo. Probably because I've had him longer and he's so advanced since he's had more updates. Loona is not at her full potential just yet but I'm not sure if I'll like having a robot that roams all over the house. I'll have to see once I've had her for a while.

I'm not sure. The Bluetooth signal probably has a long range but if he's really far from his charger, he could run out of battery before he gets back depending on how far away he wandered. I think most people have him in a relatively small area though so he should be fine for most people.
Does he come off the charger by himself?
yes, my little guy leaves his station by himself, and when he needs to recharge he returns there.

How can I teach him something, for example that he tells me 1 + 1 is 2, or that he can answer a question in another language? So, I am wobderibg can I teach him something specific, an automatic reply. Thank you so much for your answers.
Right now, he only responds to specific commands. I'm hoping down the road he will have a data base that can answer general knowledge type questions. I had heard they were going to incorporate Alexa as well but I'm not sure when or if that will happen.

It depends on how much you interact with him but if you let him just wander around on his own, he'll go for about 2 hours.
