- IN Oct of 2020 I had the pleasure of spending a few nights camping at Caney Creek Campground on Lake Texoma. Located just south of Kingston Oklahoma this U.S. Army Corps Of Engineers Campground is a great place for boaters to camp!
Caney Creek Campground on Lake Texoma provides boaters with easy deep water access and a steep dropoff at the shore that makes tying up your deep draft boat fairly easy. I enjoyed getting my new inflatable pontoon boat onto the water and catching a few little fish.
One notable feature if Caney Creek Campground on Lake Texoma is the primitive camping area and the stunning views from the bluff. Come along with me as I explore Caney Creek Campground on Lake Texoma!

Fish cleaning tables, the water levels are back up now
I just bet they are! I have been flooded out at several lakes this year. In a few weeks I have videos from Proctor Lake while the flood waters were rising. thanks for watching!!

I know boating and fishing, but is this area good for swimming too? The website says yes but I never trust that.
I personally would not swim here. there is no designated swim area and the bottom drops off sharply. When I was fishing the creek cove, the bottom went from shore to 10ft deep 12 feet out. off of the point the bottom was over 20ft deep. there is also a whole lot of boat traffic. In my opinion this is not a safe place to swim at all. Thanks for watching!
