Despite being on the online side of anime musicians, I've never been able to join a chorus battle in my life... so... I tried to join one when Vintage CB 2023 was announced. This instrumental is the one I prepared for my team in the CB, PINK✧VELVET. With the theme and time allotted for the round, I kinda went all out lol.
A lot of my arrangement this time was inspired by my previous covers and a lot of music I've been listening to lately. I once again used the "typewriter" as an "orchestral instrument." We opened with a piano concerto-like introduction drawing from a work by Camille Saint-Saëns, "Aquarium" from the Carnaval of the Animals Suite. I also employed a lot of orchestration stuff similar to Genshin Impact's Fontaine music (which I've been listening to non-stop lately.) This instrumental is quite fun for me to create, and our work for the team turned out great. The vocals, mix, animations, and art went all out so be sure to check out the full cover as well. 😑✨
