My last tour before this year we camped at Capdenac-Gare & swam in the river Lot every evening. Climbing the south col road of Puy Mary revving out in 2nd on my Street Triple a woman flashed her Bristols, too late for my knee down line, she caused a wobble with my mates following ! Oh, such a laugh!
Went in 2007 with group on maxi scooters 😊 Also I'm that old that used to do the route before it was built used to take 2 hours in a queue to dip down into Millau and back out to m way in campervan 😊
Yeah me to went through there on a camping trip in 1992 and there was chat of a huge bridge that was gonna span the valley ... at the time it seemed impossible
You should have seen the gpx file of when we did the Millau bridge. Looked like a kid had scribbled on it. We went under it, over it, back under it, then over it and back under again 😂 it's got to be done when you've travelled that far.
We went to the visitors centre via the northbound lane. At the car park it was very busy, so we jumped a curb in to a quiet area. When we left, it turned out we had gone in to the southbound car park and missed the Toll (north of the bridge)...brilliant.
Yeah been the visitors centre a couple times but tbh I'm not that into all that part of it , I'd rather just park and get a pic ... and don't even get me started on the visotor centre parking attendant 🤣🤣🤣
Its been a few years since we rode over and under Millau. For us riding the Gorge du Tarn below is far nicer than riding over the viaduct. The digs looked top notch👍👍
Driving over the Millau looks much better from the cab of a Scania V8 (the wonders of TH-cam) 😁 I always get a 'mood on' on my last day when you have to head home, it started when I was about 12....50+ years later I'm just as bad if not worse...🤣🤣🤣 To me, if you want to get back home, you either picked the wrong holiday, or had a pretty crap holiday. (Appreciate it's a bit different in your case as Faye's at home! 🙂)
Nice one Shaun another great vid, we're down that way September might cancel our hotel in Castres and try that La Moto if it doesn't leave us to much for the next day will check the mileage out, by the way My knees and back are knackered after my days as a drayman on Mitchells & Butlers look after yourself mate to late for me had one knee replaced waiting for the other to be done, looking forward to the next vid. Ride Safe.
Honestly La Moto is well worth a visit , me and Faye are going there in 3 weeks as the 1st stop on our tour .... yeah dray work is no good for the old body and with it being job and finish u find yourself rushing which makes it worse 👍
I’m sure tins u would love to c my side of the trip. It’s a bit different from your vlog. But very entertaining . Son in law not finished it yet but he thinks he can get the full trip in 45 mins on what I’ve recorded
Looks like you're having a good time , is your phone holder waterproof as I could do with a waterproof one , if so could you let me have the make , thanks .
I've never been to Europe. Is there much hassle with the lingo? Or remembering which side of the road to be on? Ur videos r getting me thinkin.. Good luck with the back 🍀👍
That’s the 1st time I’ve been to Europe on me bike. Do it mate. I’m going to go back to the Black Forest again next year with a couple of friends. Carnt wait
@doolytom I echo what Shaun and Robert have said, just do it! I did it at 60 years old 😲Just take your time and it soon becomes just like riding at home. Just be careful at first when you stop for a break....it's easy to 'forget' and end up on the left hand side to the road.
You should do it, it is brilliant. My wife puts a little sticky on arrow on her sat nav to remind her which side of the road to ride when pulling away from stops. You can get by without speaking the lingo. Hello, thanks and two beers is often easy to remember in most languages. Google translate on your phone for any issues.

U know what I've never been flashed while on the bike grrrrr that would be the highlight of the tour especially if the cameras where rolling 🤣
Been there and loved it. Your video brings back great memories, thanks . 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Cheers pal was a great trip
That was the best day for me so far. Going up that mountain lane was a great ride . That’s not recorded but what a road that was . Great day thanks
Thought i had footage of that but can't find it anywhere proper gutted

If you've ever ridden the Mersey Flow..., who needs to ride that, and pay for it to boot!! The excitement lays in riding under it.
Absolutely.... merseyflow the bain of my commute 🤣🤣🤣
Great set of videos Shaun, enjoy watching them back while it's wintery here ! Who needs the Millau when we have our own mini one in Halton ! 😂
Haha that's down to 1 Lane... nightmare at the moment

Yeah pal riding over for me is just for saving time as like u say its a much better view from below/underneath

Thanks for reply lads.. Ramming speed so 😊
