I'm a bit late to the party here but the yellow machine driving at 22:22 is called a grader, you use it to build roads and trim the subgrade, limestone & roadbase to the correct levels/thicknesses.

Thailand gives holders of Belgium passports 15 days visa if they arrive on land and 30 days if on plane. So thats why thijs only got 15 days

How tall is Thijs? I'm also kinda tall and I was wondering if he faced a lot of disadvantages because of his height their in Asia

OutNumbered Family were not experts on hitxhhiking..its up to you..watch the series and see how you feel about it after you saw what happened to us over both series. but as you can see its fun, free, and creates priceless travel memories...

Hi Bugeteers! I subscribed with your Latin America trip and liked it. What kind of a camera or cam did you use? Do you always use the same camera or have several for different situations? Can a person, retired on about $750 a month survive in SE Asia traveling like you do? I'm hoping to travel in most of the world. Is it easy with a US passport? I'm thinking of hitchhiking and I'm 63. I have to travel with 30 pounds max on my back for health reasons. Is it worth it carrying a tent? Did you really find a tent that necessary? Thanks for sharing with your video, real adventures. I'm thinking I might start a TH-cam channel for a low budget senior on Social Security fulfilling his bucket list. You should try to get passage on one of those old sailing yawls or whatever they are called, the ancient ones I heard are still used down there.

I'm sorry but I'm wondering if you can help me out I'm planning a trip to the Philippines Vietnam Laos Cambodia and Thailand how much money do I need if I'm going to catch buses hostels food drinks etc
Really on the fence with this as a concept. Fair enough you're nice guys, making friends and not harming anyone. But going to pretty poor countries taking and giving nothing back seems kind of arrogant, you're probably a lot richer than the people paying for petrol to give you rides etc. Also just don't really see the point to be honest, some cool stories to take home I guess but can you really enjoy yourself just thinking about money and watching every penny all the time? Don't mean to hate by the way, interesting videos just have my doubts of whether it's a good thing your doing.
whats up George. firstly we're not rich, we're always broke. We do give back, meals, gifts, volunteering, and we even worked with a nicaraguan school and raised money for that school to employ local workers to install new toilets (money came via our TH-camr subscribers) but these things happen later in series 1 and 2. We don't spend much time thinking about money and watching every penny cause, well, did you see how many beers we had! haha but anyway mate crack on with the rest of series 1, check out series 2 and if you still dont get on board with this concept then thats fine mate - it's not meant to be for everyone :) all love

Wow... try telling people in developing countries you're not rich. The fact you can travel to an overseas country means you are one of the privileged few on the planet. I'm with George. Its a nice thought but when you know how locals think, its not a good look to expect these things for free in their country.

Yes it is...traveling like what u guys doing we call it in Islam as " Musafir " so if musafir need rest they always go to mosque, if they cant go to hotel or may b in any budget plan, we can go to mosque for sleep n any mosque allow it. But because u guys travel wearing short pants, so better next time u buy " sarong " [ pls google it how look like :) ] n always put that sarong to ur bag. So when u wanna sleep in any mosque just wear it, to cover ur legs for respect too n can b ur blanket too. And we not allow drink alcohol inside mosque. So guys, next time u can try ok ^^ and sometimes they serve u with tea / coffee or some food. :)
