Watching this season again. I remember watching the first time and was hooked because of how unique it is. Thought I'd watch for 10mins making breakfast but will most likely keep watching this season throughout the day. Brings out so much nostalgia, especially memories it brings back of trekking solo.

Rule number two on a budget... stay in one country, explore it to the fullest, there is sooo many awesome things and places (islands) off the beaten path in Indo.
sad to go to so many different places just for the sake of being there without really experince it deep.

Excited to watch this series again, could be my 3rd or 4th time watching it hahahah. It inspired me to travel southeast asia in 2016 and i have been back twice since. Grab is actually banned in Bali because it prices local drivers out of fares however...you can still get one but they will ask you to meet them round the corner from your apartment/hotel etc or something to avoid any problems.

Really cool but I do think you missed a lot of what Bali has to offer such as Ubud, visiting the northern rice fields and volcanoes but difficult if there isn't so much time. Great series I love it

Hi guys ! I just discovered your channel, I'm about to travel through sri lanka, india and nepal and i'm kind of worried about my money as i have a very low bugdet. Anyways, just wanted to tell you, I was fed up with travel vlogs, I watched a lot and they look so boring to me and I wanted to say that your one is way more alive and natural than any other i've seen (from what i've seen so far). I always thought camping was illegal or frowned upon in Bali, the reason being you can really find cheap accommodation.
Great video! I'm solo travelling in Jan. Starting off in Bali most likely. Where was the beer pong / free tattoos at? Seemed like a great place to start... Keep it up! :)

Yes Kuta Bali is not the image that people usually see of Bali. It is a wild place😂 But if you want more quiet and chill places, definatly still go to Bali and visit places like Canggu or Ubud.

cheers babe! and welcome to the channel - this was ep1 of series 1 and so we really didnt know what we were doing - this series progresses and after a while we do start to implement the cost of things etc etc - but after you finish this series head over and watch series 2 which is on ep3 at the moment. in this series we break down costs much more and but at the end how much we spent on everything etc - but make sure you watch series 1 first ;) hahaha

Alright, you've watched 3 of our series! This series is where it all started.
With the $1000 we saved working and travelling in Australia we flew to SE Asia and travelled as far as we could.
In this first series our flight ticket was even included. So 250$ was already spent on the flights alone! We even editted on the road. What a crazy series!

Hi guys I'm a hugeee fan of your channel, I'm hoping to backpack around SE Asia this summer, I was just wondering what time of year you went? I can only go during July and August which I know is the rainy season in a lot of places. Also I'm wondering which countries you'd recommend for about 8/9 weeks of travelling, I'd love to do as many places as you but just haven't got the time to do it all in one trip. Thanks :)
we were there September - November and 9 weeks i plenty you could take it slow and still see 4 or 5 countries.. have a great trip :)
