    I think this is probably the best summary and example of equipment crafting I've seen for this game. Great job

    Great Coat!.....Personally would have used HP hammers before rolling...

      How does the hp hammers first help the rolls?

    • @NerdNight
      @NerdNight  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In general I don't like using the hammers beforehand just because you are committing to the rolls...even though it ends up being better in the end.

      @@NerdNight As someone else stated, had you used a few HP hammers at lvl 40, you would have rolled all SPR in the last 10. Just a thought for next time. I also don't put much stock in hammering a fresh item (except maybe Sage Hats). Great content.

      @@jebaw3863 HP hammers can be used to get 100% stats on Sages hats and Alexendrite rings and most other accessories. They are insanely valuable for those items and useless for other items.

    Thank you so much for this and the prior video. Finally, a simple, smooth well made video on crafting. I think I finally understand it; and now much like the characters in an HP lovecraft story I'll likely go insane with the full truth of the amount of gear needed to make a +5.
    So sad I started right when the golden armor was ending...guess I'll...buy single recipes of it at the shop for a mil a recipe...

      If you have time to farm multi quests, DO IT! You might be able to find a group that will let you hang in for a long Brutal Difficulty run.
      The mage's habit this week is a GREAT armor for mages, so I would say farm it as much as possible!

    Soooo i should slowly build a mr weapon to +5 instead of directly forging a weapon to +5 because the stats will increase more and there is a chance that they will get maxed out ?

    • @NerdNight
      @NerdNight  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not any more....you can +5 them right away. The crafting system has changed a TON since this video. We are working on a new crafting video that is much more straightforward!

     @Nerd Night I wish you actually consulted the WOTV Tools resource as you leveled it and compare your 10 levels to the expected levels. Multiple times you rolled the average roll and called it below average but you could easily check. It is also a good practice if you get a couple terrible rolls to save your seals and re-smith.
    Also you could inform everyone the % that each seal increases the success odds (+15% for assault/hp/mag and +3% for def/spr/acc/evade)

    • @NerdNight
      @NerdNight  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is great information, and I have consulted the equipment tool since this video MUCH more to compare to expectations. I'll have to update my gear crafting guide, because I've picked up some great tips like this in the last few months. Appreciate it!

    Very helpfull. Tnx for the explanation. I think i can craft now. ^^p

  • @RamzaBeoulve78
    @RamzaBeoulve78 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Say you use seals for every level and you still cannot achieve the stats you are looking for within the ten hammer limit. Is dismantling and rebuilding the +5 equipment the only option? Re-smithing only resets hammers correct?

    • @NerdNight
      @NerdNight  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, you can use resmithing hammers to reroll the equipment. It sets it to Lvl 1to retry (I'm actually not sure if it resets the hammers? I think so...)
      If you dismantle, you'll lose a TON of books and crafting materials since it will give you a two +4s at only level 1.

    You could use 3 HP hammer at level 40 to max HP, then since all stats are maxed except for SPR all 10 roll goes to SPR.

    • @subotaplaya982
      @subotaplaya982 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is nice, except stats can roll low or in the case of something like SPR or DEF, whiff entirely.

    Digging the funky BGM. Thanks for sharing and the insight! I feel you on the 13 (?!) evade after 50 chances - at least you were able to smith/ hammer it! PS I wonder who’s grand idea it was to add RNG to the equipment crafting system... 😑

  • @RodolfoAkira

    Isn't it better to craft these type of armors with just HP seals?

  • @b0ober
    @b0ober 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    I'm really in dilemma between critical vs assault on ras agelthi... crit it's easier to max the stats at +5. assault is essentially gambling on good atk rolls.

  • @subotaplaya982
    @subotaplaya982 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    The problem with video like this, he's making a smart coat, and that's a low rarity item that's supposed to be all but guaranteed to max out, in theory. And yet again, the system is so bad and imbalance, the video seems tense. Try making something like a +5 200dam weapon and see how many resets it takes to cap that. In the video, he gets a nice comfortable 8 hammers to max out the item, this basically never works out so nice and tidy on better gear. So, I hope no newcomer watches this and gets the false impression that this crafting system is remotely reasonable or manageable with some tricks or careful planning or something, it's really not once you get to the really nice limited time items you farmed from the nightmarish raids (which is another topic.) It's bullshit rng, it's competing with Epic7 for one of the worst gear systems ever conceived. This is simply obfuscated by how convoluted and nonsensical the moving parts work, once you get down to it, it's just a horribly broken crafting system designed to make you spend real money on "pre rolled" items which Im sure they can't wait to add to the pay-only shop.
