Congratulations Elaine on the Awesome finishes. Ive never stitched any samplers before,but evertime i see your work i want to try and stitch one or 2,lol. Cheese Delivery is looking Amazing and I can understand why husband would be interested in that Beauty. My husband doesn't pay any attention to my stitching either,but to be fair,all im working on is my gift stitch Cardinals. Hoping he will be more interested when I have more charts going. Im so glad I had just swallowed my coffee ☕ when you started talking about "spitting"....I never laughed so hard 🤣😂🤣, and honestly we couldn't see it, so you told on yourself. I love the idea of adding craft room on your wip board but I think I would put straighten floss,or fabric etc but only for a couple of days,not a whole week....because then I would be dreading that number to be called. 🙄. Do you get Christmas time off or just that day or 2?? I'm sure you are ready for a rest working 12 hour days plus a long drive 🚗. Im really looking forward to seeing the pictures of this Stately Old Hotel...sounds so beautiful. Loved the pictures of the heavy frost and gorgeous area,plus your beautiful babies. That would be a wonderful place to walk your dogs at....so peaceful and beautiful. Hope you have a wonderful Christmas and are Very Blessed. Looking forward to your wip parade. Loved seeing your beautiful stitching....those socks are my favorites but I do love the other pieces too. Ive always wanted to stitch a cable blanket,but I only crochet. I loved the Dynasty series. Have you read Tania Carver? Crime series set in Colchester and N Essex. Glad you decided to start a few new things - I'm hoping to do the same! Did you knit the cable blanket on your chair? If so, what's the pattern details please. There's a lovely free cable blanket pattern by Stylecraft, designed by Stuart Hilliard, stitched in strips, then joined together.

The blanket is one of mine, it’s a free pattern on lovecrafts.com I think it’s called lovers knot blanket, I really enjoyed knitting it, great pattern!! Hi Elaine! Lovely to see you again today. Darren has been talking about how cold it is going to be while he is in the UK on holiday. We have been running in the high 70s, which is about 15 degrees above normal. That is some heavy frost on the grass. We have barely started our decorating, which is about a month behind for me. I just have not been feeling very well. My back has been quite sore lately with watching Walter 2 overnights a week. He got sick the middle of November after returning from almost 70 degree weather when they flew to California but also went to the mountains with the snow and he didn't have proper winter clothing packed for him, and then when he returned home we were have a snap down into the 40s during the day. Of course, he shared with grandma as well so I have been having a lot of drainage and no energy since after Thanksgiving. Seems like I am spending a lot of time resting and not even getting much stitching in on the days when I am not watching Walter. My mom came down with bronchitis about 10 days ago but I took her to the after hours clinic and they gave her an injection to open her airways and she is doing much better. I am hoping to get the tree out of the storage area and up the beginning of this coming week. Congrats on finishing Sweater Weather! Love your deer finish and the fabric. I will buy some of that fabric one of these days as I like it in both the silver and gold when I have seen it. I think maybe a dark brown chenille trim could look nice. Vonna's newest videos are great! I think she has 3 new ones out last week. The chenille trim one was great as was the flat ornament finish with the cording also used as the hanger. Congrats on reaching 50% on Cheese Delivery. You can really see the progress each time you show it. Really like the fabric for Christmas Witch. How do you like the Bella Filipina compared to the Mirabilia? Any preference yet? I have heard several floss tubers that seem to be preferring the Bella Filipina patterns better because they seem to have a better flow. I have never stitched either but will be starting a Nora Corbett this month, maybe tomorrow depending on what time Walter is picked up and how tired I am. Wow, such great progress on Salem Witch Trials as well as your other WIPs. What a beautiful shawl. Your knitting needles with that piece are also beautiful. Love your blanket pattern and colors as well. The yarn looks so soft. I did knitting and crocheting in my younger years although I preferred crochet, but I did love making cables when I was knitting. One of the few crafts I have never been able to learn was tatting, although I tried several times. Not a short reply this time LOL! Hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas. I can’t crochet to save my life!! I did make a granny square once but that’s it!! I just find it really awkward, I think because I want to hold the hook like knitting needles and it doesn’t work like that!! Cheese delivery is looking amazing, so much detail in it. My husband is the same, ignores most of my stitching until something catches his eye and then he's wanting to know how I'm doing. Lovely knitting, the purple wool is amazing. Managed to finish my knitting present for daughter and working hard on a cross stitch picture for husband for christmas. Daughter also wants her crocheted christmas eve blanket finished by christmas eve! We need more arms lol!

There is a lot of confetti and backstitch in the Christmas pudding but it actually stitches up pretty easily.

I've been loving Morti's flossmas updates, hopefully she gets over her cold soon. Two other's I've been watching are Thread the Needle, who has a gift exchange with her crafting group that she opens each day, along with a coffee of the day and a wax melt advent box. Then there is Crafty Gaming Jamie who has been stitching a really cute advent calendar everyday this month (and actually finishing each days box on the right day!) They are both doing a random wip drawing each day for their daily stitching as well, so that has been really fun.
I’ve really enjoyed watching the flossmas videos, though I’ve got a bit behind with them this week, been a bit busy! Have a lovely Christmas 🎄 🧵🧵🪡🪡

I loved the video. What a good idea to put craftroom-organizing on a wipgo board. For me this would be a way to big goal. I would probably need a whole bingo board with just organizing goals. Like: put all free cross stitch fabric together, fold all the fabrics neatly, sort and organise fabrics. And then the same for floss, charts, kits knitting yarn, magazines sewing stuff, etc.
I’m the same as you!! This is a great idea but I don’t think I would do it 🤦♀️ I do admire people that are really organised though

You mentioned you were looking for book recommendations and you like historical fiction. Have you read the Matthew Bartholomew series by Susanna Gregory? I love them. The first is called “A Plague on Both Your Houses”. If you like CJ Sansom’s Shardlake series you’ll like these.

Love the update on everything the knitting is fab! I’m a crap knitter but can crochet a bit, I’d love to knit socks, I’ll maybe try sometime. An author to try is Kate Atkinson if you have already read any of hers, I started with the Jackson Brody series. Lisa Jewel for a lighter read, I’m re-reading hers at the moment. The paying guests by Sarah Waters is a good read too. I love reading and always have a book on the go. Have a great Christmas, looking forward to the wip parade! ❤
