Would you happen to be able to tell me which X pipe you used? I have a 2012 X5 50I M-sport , Ive been doing some research and you have the best sounding X5 Ive heard by far!
Guys I just added 2 2.5" diameter 23" long cherry bomb glasspacks to it and gained so much torque back! Its like night and day driving it now that when I took this video. The straight pipes are too free flowing for this motor. sounds amazing now with the glasspacks. They also help calm the drone from straight pipes down a decent amount!
Hey i did the exact same things on my x6, straight piped from the cat back, but i was getting alot of drone, and so i had to put glass pack mufflers on. You getting drone?
Did you put an x pipe? It helped a lot with the drone, as always when removing resonators and mufflers you will experience drone but glass packs and x pipe helped a lot from before. I have an x pipe in place of the factory h pipe. Still there is always going to be some drone unless hemholtz chambers are custom built for the applications

Did you change the 2.25 inch piping to 2.5?
No factory diameter. I wouldn’t on the 4.8i you’ll lose power going to bigger diameter!
