    James, you definitely must continue after this 52 weeks, sice this last tutorials are AWESOME AND FLUFFY! I mean there's only so much you can figure out on your own, so explaining every device in Reason would be really appreciated! You're doing a great job!

    Totally agree. Most people who create songs don't have the time or the money to invest to learn these things. Thanks Propellerhead. Long time user and customer.

    i had been paying for tutorials at mac pro, but cancelled since you tube is free, and James teaches us all the stuff you can't find anywhere else.

    I did share something similar on synthtopia (also sharing this) but I think Mr. Bernard (like to play it polite) is right here; knowing your /gear/ gets you a big edge. And I honestly hope that these upcoming vids will finally make many people realize their bias is unjustified; while those colorful cables after pressing tab may *look* easy they can actually pack quite a punch indeed. I am biased; but after 6 months of (more) in-depth Reason(ing) I think too many people underestimate it.

    @Koshdukai if you search youtube for Visual Mixing Techniques, the first result should be a video showing you how to set up your Reason rack so that the envelopes *are* graphical, meaning the knobs and slider sections that they effect actually move whenever the envelope is triggered. It was made with Reason 4, but the technique is even easier now with Reason 5.

    @1000Errors @kainshutler He's sorta right. In fact that was the same thing I thought when I watched James' video. You can "simulate" the pumping if you're playing a part that would work for the simulation. The amp envelope will trigger for each key press so if you're part is just pulsing quarter notes then the sound would be very similar to the common kick side-chain. Anything more complex, and the effect would be heard more for what it is...just a slow attack on your amp envelope.

    @soviut Not yet.. just wrote it on Tuesday and have not fleshed it out into a full tune yet.. got me thinking though... maybe I should put together a "tunes from the 52 Tips series" compilation when all is said an done.. who might be interested in that.. give a thumbs up.

    Thank you, James! Very useful. But what is the point of reversing the evnelope?

    I absolutely love the track playing at the beginning. Is it available anywhere in either Record or MP3 format?

    @random30303 The Gladiator OST is an amazing piece of work.. Lisa Gerrard has probably one of my all time favorite female vocal tones..(next to Elizabeth Frasier)..

    @jamesbernardmusic I'm not to good with most of the stuff on a keyboard because I am still learning so that is why i was asking. Though it would be cool if you guys made a series just for people to learn different chord progressions ect. ect.

    Can you connect it to a sampler with a sample and cv it. Can you make a video on that please?

    @modman1234567
    Why not just listen to it and replay it? It's not a very difficult chord progression at all... besides.. I don't think I saved it.. it was just for the purpose of doing the video.

    Trying to make deep house pads and stabs on Subtractor but can’t any tutorials on here. Can Subtractor make current sounds? Any tips? (the stuff you find on Traxsource). Let me add that this has helped me a lot. I’m a Reason newbie.

      if you understand synthesis , you can apply what you learn on other tutorial in reason . shouldn't be too hard :)

      Subtractor is a terrible choice for that kind of thing, better using Europa or Thor....... Or Vital 😁

    Why does reason always sound bad.

    • @lenglain
      @lenglain 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Considering its sounds were used in French Montana's "Unforgettable", Drake's "In my feelings", "nice for what" and "Passionfruit", Beyonce's "partition", Big Sean's "Beware" and "IDFWU" and more....I think they sound pretty good.

    • @IconOfSin

      Because Reason makes it easy to make music, but excruciatingly time consuming to mix music
