It's not in the manual, but Travis shows how to adjust the power on the Gamo Urban for a longer shot string. Another Airgun Essential from Airgun Depot! Gamo Urban: www.airgundepo...
I have a Gamo Coyote and I Dremeled a small groove out in the stock behind the breech for a long 4mm hex wrench to fit. I removed the action, placed the 4mm hex in the hammer adjust, then just lower the action into the stock and you know right where to cut your groove. I then put a little stain in the groove. Looks nice and now easily adjusted without removing stock.
Travis, you can also do this same adjustment to the Gamo Coyote by removing it from its wooden stock. With the Urban, a small mod to the back of the stock will allow you to adjust it while it is still in the stock. I posted some photos of that mod in Part 4 of Tom Gaylord's blog at Pyramyd Air's website. Tom wrote a 5 part report on the Urban in April and May of 2018 and I posted the photos in the comments for Part 4 near the bottom. Also, in Part 3 of that same 5 part report, again buried in the comments ( I sign in as Halfstep) I posted the chronograph results that I got with my two Urbans as I adjusted them to increasingly higher settings. Anyone who wants to adjust their gun and doesn't have a chronograph can look at those results to estimate how their gun will shoot. That will in turn give them an estimate for the fpe at each setting.
I don't know if it has that adjustment or not. I do know that I'd never buy a Spanish made Gamo if I could afford a budget, UK made gun like an Urban. BSA quality and Gamo quality just can't be compared and the extra cost of an Urban is more that made up for by its feature set and quality of construction. IMO@@AlexAlex-nk6gy
Be careful backing it out it will run out of threads and the hammer spring will come off and you need to take it apart or send it in to have it put back to factory settings
My allen will not turn either way with finger pressure only, does it need to be de-pressurized before turning the allen and how far do I insert the 4mm allen?
I would say one should only do this if the local laws allow that and there is no restriction in power output of an air rifle like it is in UK and Hungary as an example.
No. But I make sure there is no pellet in the barrel and it's not cocked at the minimum. Especially with this gun. The safety can be jostled off very easily while you're working on it.

Nice! Now we all know what people are doing at these air rifle outlets to get parts and work on their buddies and their own rifles with the nice plastic tools they have access to so the buyers can't tell really why their air rifles don't work properly and defective and have to return all the time wasting money and paying the air rifle outlets for their troubles they cause!!! Very nice!
I have Gamo Chackal. A great gun by all means. If I tune it to 900 fps with a 15 grain pellet or lets say Crossman hollowpoint 14.3 grains. How many shots per fill will I get and what will be the power. At the factory setting it is 29 jules or 22ft/lb based on Gamo site. Can I fit a bigger thank ?
Red band just means .177 caliber, and .177 is fully capable of hunting up to squirrel-size game. For squirrel and .177, I'd set it to 15-18 FPE. Green means .22 caliber. Same energy as .177, but it shoots a heavier pellet slower. It'll hit harder and punch a bigger hole in the animal, so it'll bleed faster. I've taken a LOT of squirrels with .177 at 18 FPE, but 12 is just as good out to 30 yards or so.
@@airgundepot the phox has a anti tamp wich u will need to remove. 1 full turn clockwise will give u a 1ftlb thats what i worked it out too bee and was maxd out at around 16ftbl
John Mony when I tried this on my coyote I couldn't get the screw to turn one way or pe the other.. it also took a 5mm not a 4 on mine.. it is asb earlier model that only had the muzzle break. I installed a trident moderator myself as it is a threaded barrel..I wonder if the earlier ones aren't adjustable or if I need to spray some sort of penetrating oul and let it soak awhile and try again?
Hey Travis, Thanks for the excellent mod tutorial video!!! 25 consistent shots of higher velocity, woohoo!!! Personally I would be happy with five or ten hi power shots that give me increased range of 100 to150 yards and upwards of 35 fpe. What kind of range and fpe increase are you getting with this mod? And are you able to use light alloy pellets, heavy h&n/jsb pellets, or specialty slugs? Anyway, stay safe, be well, and God Bless.

Yes, it's exactly the same gun but without a silenced barrel unless it is the GX40 Whispere. I have a GX40 too, it feels weak and I am shooting slugs so I need higher power to take advantage of the rifled barrel.
@@francoooo5192 hey, it went really good, i gave it 5 turns, it's a little hard to pull the bolt back now but it shoots really good! Shooting 15gr slugs!

@@airgundepot Thanks. Soooo, one more question, how do take out all the air (short of going through a tin of pellets!)? I can't find seem to find any videos on youtube. Thanks again!
The only way to remove the air is to dry fire it. Don't shoot pellets through it because at some point as the air runs out a pellet will get stuck in the barrel.
Loosen the meter gauge just the meter gauge only to release the air. Turn it counter clockwise you will hear a hissing sound.. Just for the people don't know it yet just incase came across on these threads.🙂
There have been several reports that you actually CAN adjust the Arrow in the same manner. The plastic cap isn't as easy to remove as the Urban, however, so you'll have to carefully drill a hole in the cap to access the 4mm adjustment screw.
