God continues to demonstrate to us our inherited frailty. We know how frail we are physically, mentally, and spiritually. Satan attacks us relentlessly. The world rebuffs us redundantly. And we sabotage our very own selves incessantly! However, Jesus paid it all so that we would have him as our Lord and Savior to be our advocate when life gets overwhelming. Our Lord goes before the Father as our propitiation when sin overtakes us. Is it any wonder Jesus is called our Wonderful Councilor?!

Even though it says He's angry with sinners every day, at the same time He's angry with you about sin, He's reconciled to you and loves you and wants you saved, because those very sins He's angry about were borne by Jesus on the cross. Jesus said He was not sent for the righteous, but for sinners. He wants you, whoever you are, to come to Jesus Christ and believe in Him and be forgiven and saved from your sin. The Bible is full of scriptures that tell us that He wants us to live w/ Him forever.

Have one issue with this song: the leopard cannot change its spots. That is the whole point of the analogy. Beautiful song but you cannot mishandle the word of God that way. If you hate being misquoted, and you are imperfect, imagine what God's reaction must be to the mishandling of His sacred, infallible, living, breathing, eternal Word. Amen?
