January 15 2019, I hid in a toilet wishing I could flush myself away as Al Shabaab terrorists shot up the door at Dusit D2 office and hotel complex in Nairobi Kenya. This was the only song I could remember as I prayed. I mixed up the verses - "When peace like a river attendeth my way, my sin not in part but the whole, is nailed to the cross, and I bear it no more, praise the Lord, praise the Lord, oh my soul" - That afternoon, I knew I would not see the evening. I regretted not having said goodbye to my wife and youngest son that morning, or not having been a better father. My every ambition, every want, everything assumed its rightful irrelevance as the bullets flew. To be absolutely sure, I rededicated my life to Jesus Christ by saying - Lord Jesus, save me, I repent my sins, write my name in the Lamb's Book of Life, erase my name from the book of damnation, be my Lord and Saviour. I had an overwhelming sense of peace as I waited for them to burst open the door and carry out what they came for. God hid me, spared me 5 feet from the murderous group. All I can say is God allowed me to live. Sadly, they took lives of people from neighbouring offices and the hotel, some of whom I'd seen at one time or another.

Wow. What an amazing experience. You are amazing for sharing your story with the world. Last night I watched the video of Christ being tempted in the desert for 40 days and 40 nights. He has the strength and Godly courage in resisting the temptation of Satan himself. Our 10 year old understood it more than we did, that Jesus' spirtual eyes were open. Because of that it forever changed the course of human history making the atonement and resurrection from the grave possible. Hosanna! Hosanna to God in the highest!!!

I essentially walked away from Christianity right before I turned 20 back in 2009. A couple of months ago I finally went back to church. I went to about 3 or 4 services. I haven’t gone in about a month but I thought about this song a couple of days ago for the first time in a very long time and cannot stop listening to it. Praise the Lord.

I was jobless for a few month with the debt. My wife is very concern about our family situation. I applied into different work places that fit into my experience but none of them hired me. In that situation I should be worry, and hopeless but I know God has a better plan for me that is why it is well in my soul. Now I found a job that does not even fit into my experience and my knowledge but I do not know why they hired me to do it, but I know He always has a plan for me that is why it is well in my soul. He had to support a well-grown son who would not hold down a job, and then my father -in-law got killed by a tree. Before he died, he requested that this song be sung at his funeral. My daughter sang it at the funeral. A wonderful man when he found out Who Jesus was/is.
This is the song I kept listening to when my depression hit me. I was crying and crying so hard. I kept praying to God to deliver me from my helpless state. Until God answered me. God saved me from my darkness and brought light to me! No matter how big your sin was, God can forgive you if you ask for forgiveness and opened your heart for change and be willing to follow him. We Lost our little boy last week 23 weeks into the pregnancy (Our first pregnancy after a year and half of marriage) it rocked and is rocking our foundations as a young couple with all sorts of questions to God. I'm a 55 yr. old homeless man staying at Mirical Hill Ministries Greenville SC rescue mission. Do too many things I've been without my wife since 2008. I've only seen my children a handful of times since then as well. They are now 23 and 22, with a 3yr old granddaughter I've never met. I've struggled with alcohol since I was 21. I’ve been battling with severe anxiety and panic attacks after losing my job , just pregnant with my first baby and losing an apartment and not the emotional trauma and abuse I went through. We sang this at my daughter's funeral 8 years ago tomorrow. In one of the worst times of my life it brought me peace. Even to this day I can't listen to the first few notes of the tune without crying. Yesterday morning we sang it in Church and I started to cry. I was going to excuse myself but my wife would not let go of my hand and I sang it all the way through and I'm glad I did. I felt the presence of my precious baby girl and I knew she was with The Lord.

Any type of mental oppression is either physical defect coming down through genes from the fall or is demonic oppression. Every person is a vessel, full of demonic stuff at salvation. Get some olive oil, which is a type of sanctification in the book of Leviticus, anoint yourself after you worship, and command the OCD demon out of yourself and tell Satan that you break all his curses over your body for it is the Lord’s body. Then ask the Father to heal your mental processes in Jesus name. Keep doing this every time you have an issue. For they were to shoot arrows toward Syria six times not stop at three. The Bible teaches the basics of casting out demons, but it doesn’t teach all the things one must know to stay free. Even those Baptised with with the Holy Spirit infilling have demons today, because Satan is silent, preferring you not to recognize him so he can keep your vessel defiled. Preachers are in great error when they say God will handle the demons. Jesus gave that responsibility to the church. And until you are demon free you can’t be healed in your body. Take it from me, I had 12, and there are no preachers today who cast devils out. With your mustard seed of Faith, your Bible, and calling on the Lord, he can teach you. You tube has helped me, Lester Sumrall cast out more demons in the 20th century than any preacher, you can find his teachings. I learned from Smith Wigglesworth that he had crippling demons at two different times even though he was an apostle with power. It has to do with unsanctified sin or unforgiveness or something even that you hide from like fornication or masterbation. The prohibitions in the Bible are to put up a fence against the devil, but if you engage in sin that Paul taught against you will have trouble with demons. They attach to your mind and body, not your saved spirit. Part of overcoming them is to learn to war and give up your sin. When we die, our healed soul, which is the mind, and our spirit go to God. It is the soul that is not corrected at Salvation. The work of the believer is to become sanctified as to their soul, that the mind is renewed, I Thess 4:3. To live Holy is accomplished by removing all those hindrances of temptation, the remaining bruises on the soul, the infirmities from the fall. Salvation doesn’t break the generational curses either, you must break them. How? Praying scripture against them when you realize you can’t get free. How do you know you have a demon or more? You just can’t get free and your prayers are blocked, or your life just doesn’t ever get blessed. Get Hohn Eckhart’s book, prayers that route demons and read the prayers out loud. Lust demons don’t live in you, they come upon you for sex. They are the hardest to kill. Because they show up in dreams when you aren’t fully yourself with your mind in full gear. I wish you God’s blessing and the fortitude to undertake the narrow way. God said be Holy, he wants us to be Holy, and with Jesus’ help as he has promised, you can be sanctified and the temptations eliminated. The preachers are weak and stupid. Let the Lord lead you, believe what you see word for word on the page, not the traditions of Christianity. They never teach word for word, only certain stories, it’s a failure today, and not all deliverance preachers are actually delivering anyone. Power comes from Holiness. You need to repent of everything you think is holding you back, use the word “repent” it gets the attention of God, it’s like a secret passcode in heaven. Then when you think you have nothing more to repent of, seek the Holy Spirit Baptism of Fire, God will give it. To those who obey. Acts 5:32. Without it you cannot be sanctified. Those churches saying the infilling is no longer available learned this from one single man 120 years ago, and stopped people from receiving it…only the Devil preaches against speaking in other tongues. Jesus said, those who believe…will cast out devils (maybe only from themselves), will heal the sick (maybe only themselves) and WILL speak In other tongues, meaning a believer will be Holy Ghost baptized the same as the 12 Disciples. Paul said, have you believed since you received? If not, it may be you need to fully repent, and know then to ask to be baptized. Don’t be surprised if Jesus shows up, he is the Baptizer. I’m currently 28 years old and I’m almost bed ridden. I just had a daughter 8 months ago, but 4 months ago I saw a small spot on my foot. Afterwards, spots sprang up all over my body, and now I am completely covered in thick red patches, making it hard to move my hands and feet. Doctors have yet been able to understand exactly what it is. But when I listen to this song, I can’t help but feel so much joy, imagining what heaven is like. It must be so beautiful.

These lyrics are beautiful. The man who wrote them is named Horatio Spafford. He had a job in Chicago. One day, his wife and 4 kids were sailing to Europe when another ship hit theirs, and they sank. Mrs. Spafford survived, but all 4 kids didn't. After Mrs. Spafford reached Wales, she cabled Mr. Spafford to tell him what happened. He immediately set sail to join her in Wales. As they were sailing, the captain told Mr. Spafford where the crash occurred. Mr. Spafford later wrote these lyrics. Amazing.

I nearly lost my wife at the beginning of this year during surgery. After the surgery, we faced financial challenges because we lost so much during that period. Two months later, I suddenly lost my dad to a hypertensive attack. He hadn’t taken his blood pressure medication for two days because I wasn’t able to support him financially that week like I usually did, so he waited for his pension money to buy the medication. Unfortunately, he couldn’t survive the attack. Life has been tough this year. God please give me the strength to fight through this..😓

People liked me. I was understood. God knows that I am still that girl. That this life and the wicked ways of so many who have attacked me have not gotten to my soul. All I wanted was that simple life of love, and my heart got ahead of me, but I refuse to think our Lord would punish me for loving. No matter what anyone says. God IS love. This song we used to sing in Ebenezer during my college days. When i got married my husband was a sea man and he left me with 3 children in 1998. She found another woman. My eldest daughter died 2002 due to leukemia. But still the song comforted me that IT IS WILL of God . My husband died 2021 with another woman having 2 children. Praise God i survive..whatever happened to us, only God knows and He only knows our future .

He meets me every morning since August 2014 to teach me His awesome Word! My "hangup" was that I didn't believe a book could be preserved down through the ages and not be corrupted. Then I came across Psalms 12:6-7 where God promised to preserve His Word forever. It was as if He put His arm around my shoulder and pulled me in. To God be the Glory great things He hath done...

January 15 2019, I hid in a toilet wishing I could flush myself away as Al Shabaab terrorists shot up the door at Dusit D2 office and hotel complex in Nairobi Kenya. This was the only song I could remember as I prayed. I mixed up the verses - "When peace like a river attendeth my way, my sin not in part but the whole, is nailed to the cross, and I bear it no more, praise the Lord, praise the Lord, oh my soul" - That afternoon, I knew I would not see the evening. I regretted not having said goodbye to my wife and youngest son that morning, or not having been a better father. My every ambition, every want, everything assumed its rightful irrelevance as the bullets flew. To be absolutely sure, I rededicated my life to Jesus Christ by saying - Lord Jesus, save me, I repent my sins, write my name in the Lamb's Book of Life, erase my name from the book of damnation, be my Lord and Saviour. I had an overwhelming sense of peace as I waited for them to burst open the door and carry out what they came for. God hid me, spared me 5 feet from the murderous group. All I can say is God allowed me to live. Sadly, they took lives of people from neighbouring offices and the hotel, some of whom I'd seen at one time or another.

He has the strength and Godly courage in resisting the temptation of Satan himself. Our 10 year old understood it more than we did, that Jesus' spirtual eyes were open. Because of that it forever changed the course of human history making the atonement and resurrection from the grave possible. Hosanna! Hosanna to God in the highest!!!

Horatio Spafford lost his son and he sent his wife to Europe with their four daughters as a means of helping them through their loss only for the ship to sink in a collision, and his daughters to drown. His wife wrote a telegram from Cardiff in Wales UK saying : ‘all is lost ‘ . Spafford came on the next ship and in. His grief he put his whole weight on the Lord, and out of this he wrote the hymn. There is a rock which will never move and that rock is Christ; stand on it .

I'm a 55 yr. old homeless man staying at Mirical Hill Ministries Greenville SC rescue mission. Do too many things I've been without my wife since 2008. I've only seen my children a handful of times since then as well. They are now 23 and 22, with a 3yr old granddaughter I've never met. I've struggled with alcohol since I was 21. Many many more things I can write.

We sang this at my daughter's funeral 8 years ago tomorrow. In one of the worst times of my life it brought me peace. Even to this day I can't listen to the first few notes of the tune without crying. Yesterday morning we sang it in Church and I started to cry. I was going to excuse myself but my wife would not let go of my hand and I sang it all the way through and I'm glad I did. I felt the presence of my precious baby girl and I knew she was with The Lord.

Any type of mental oppression is either physical defect coming down through genes from the fall or is demonic oppression. Every person is a vessel, full of demonic stuff at salvation. Get some olive oil, which is a type of sanctification in the book of Leviticus, anoint yourself after you worship, and command the OCD demon out of yourself and tell Satan that you break all his curses over your body for it is the Lord’s body. Even those Baptised with with the Holy Spirit infilling have demons today, because Satan is silent, preferring you not to recognize him so he can keep your vessel defiled. Preachers are in great error when they say God will handle the demons. Jesus gave that responsibility to the church. And until you are demon free you can’t be healed in your body. Take it from me, I had 12, and there are no preachers today who cast devils out. With your mustard seed of Faith, your Bible, and calling on the Lord, he can teach you. You tube has helped me, Lester Sumrall cast out more demons in the 20th century than any preacher, you can find his teachings. I learned from Smith Wigglesworth that he had crippling demons at two different times even though he was an apostle with power. It has to do with unsanctified sin or unforgiveness or something even that you hide from like fornication or masterbation. The prohibitions in the Bible are to put up a fence against the devil, but if you engage in sin that Paul taught against you will have trouble with demons. They attach to your mind and body, not your saved spirit. Part of overcoming them is to learn to war and give up your sin. When we die, our healed soul, which is the mind, and our spirit go to God. It is the soul that is not corrected at Salvation. The work of the believer is to become sanctified as to their soul, that the mind is renewed, I Thess 4:3. To live Holy is accomplished by removing all those hindrances of temptation, the remaining bruises on the soul, the infirmities from the fall. Salvation doesn’t break the generational curses either, you must break them. How? Praying scripture against them when you realize you can’t get free. How do you know you have a demon or more? You just can’t get free and your prayers are blocked, or your life just doesn’t ever get blessed. Get Hohn Eckhart’s book, prayers that route demons and read the prayers out loud. Lust demons don’t live in you, they come upon you for sex. They are the hardest to kill. Because they show up in dreams when you aren’t fully yourself with your mind in full gear. I wish you God’s blessing and the fortitude to undertake the narrow way. God said be Holy, he wants us to be Holy, and with Jesus’ help as he has promised, you can be sanctified and the temptations eliminated. The preachers are weak and stupid. Let the Lord lead you, believe what you see word for word on the page, not the traditions of Christianity. They never teach word for word, only certain stories, it’s a failure today, and not all deliverance preachers are actually delivering anyone. Power comes from Holiness. You need to repent of everything you think is holding you back, use the word “repent” it gets the attention of God, it’s like a secret passcode in heaven. Then when you think you have nothing more to repent of, seek the Holy Spirit Baptism of Fire, God will give it. To those who obey. Acts 5:32. Without it you cannot be sanctified. Those churches saying the infilling is no longer available learned this from one single man 120 years ago, and stopped people from receiving it…only the Devil preaches against speaking in other tongues. Jesus said, those who believe…will cast out devils (maybe only from themselves), will heal the sick (maybe only themselves) and WILL speak In other tongues, meaning a believer will be Holy Ghost baptized the same as the 12 Disciples. Paul said, have you believed since you received? If not, it may be you need to fully repent, and know then to ask to be baptized. Don’t be surprised if Jesus shows up, he is the Baptizer. I’m currently 28 years old and I’m almost bed ridden. I just had a daughter 8 months ago, but 4 months ago I saw a small spot on my foot. Afterwards, spots sprang up all over my body, and now I am completely covered in thick red patches, making it hard to move my hands and feet. Doctors have yet been able to understand exactly what it is. But when I listen to this song, I can’t help but feel so much joy, imagining what heaven is like. It must be so beautiful.

I nearly lost my wife at the beginning of this year during surgery. After the surgery, we faced financial challenges because we lost so much during that period. Two months later, I suddenly lost my dad to a hypertensive attack. He hadn’t taken his blood pressure medication for two days because I wasn’t able to support him financially that week like I usually did, so he waited for his pension money to buy the medication. Unfortunately, he couldn’t survive the attack. Life has been tough this year. God please give me the strength to fight through this..😓

Actually his story brought me here.... I was very unsettled when I heard the tragedies that did later befall him after he lost his girls.... And his boy. I pray his faith was intact before he departed!
Everyone in my life has rejected and abandoned me, and it is a lonely place to be, but God has never left me, and he never will. My mother told me the story of this hymn, and it is where my heart goes whenever everything seems dark. I picture this man, on the ship, on his knees praising the Lord, even when he had lost everyone he loved. I don't understand Lord. But You always show me You are here with me, when noone else wants me. Thank You for never leaving my side, Lord. I trust Your plan, Lord. You are good. You are LOVE. I would not be going through this without purpose. It is well with my soul. Please keep all my loved ones safe. I still love them all.

Any other language and I would have had no clue, but that has to be God, you know, that sent the language of what was definitely my simple years, my sheltered years, when life was right and I was yet to disappoint anyone in my life. People liked me. I was understood. God knows that I am still that girl. That this life and the wicked ways of so many who have attacked me have not gotten to my soul. All I wanted was that simple life of love, and my heart got ahead of me, but I refuse to think our Lord would punish me for loving. No matter what anyone says. God IS love. I may have fallen for the wrong man , but I know that I loved him, so I won't beat myself up for him falling away. It seems my family punishes me for not seeing the future. I just thought with my heart instead of my head. But I think the main problem with that is that most are thinking with their head so I just don't belong here. Jesus loves me no matter what or who I have loved. Thank you Jesus.🙏💕

My 4years boyfriend and a father to my son married another woman whom he met hardly six months when I was for a mission. I learnt of it two days after the tradition wedding, our friends hv been calling to comfort me. My answer has always been its well with my soul and indeed it is. This song we used to sing in Ebenezer during my college days. When i got married my husband was a sea man and he left me with 3 children in 1998. She found another woman. My eldest daughter died 2002 due to leukemia. But still the song comforted me that IT IS WILL of God . My husband died 2021 with another woman having 2 children. Praise God i survive..whatever happened to us, only God knows and He only knows our future .
