Something about these fruits make me feel like the happiest little monkey munching away on a segment whenever I eat them, just sitting there in the sun, it's rare to find a food that makes you just stop and take notice like this.
We enjoy them very much too! Thanks for watching.
will give you a second fruit I like a ton like these... yellow kiwi's
@@ihatesignupsgrrrrrrryellow kiwis are goated. one of my favorite fruits. super sweet and less tart than green kiwi
I just ate one. They taste like oranges but a little sweeter and it's not as acidic as a regular orange. They're easy to peel and the juice does not run down your hands lol but no I really liked this compared to normal oranges
Me too! It's a great fruit. Thanks for watching.
Exactly
I take my time. I peel off the membrane and eat them one at a time. I treat it delicately. Sooooooo good.
I have been buying these Sumos for at least 5 years. They are often about $3 each but the very best citrus you can buy period. Enjoy because the season is short. Perhaps a valentine's treat for your special person
Just shared one with my wife as we watched. Saw them at the grocery store today here in early January and did a double take! Sumos!!!
Awesome! Glad you found some to eat.
Love them!
Me too!
I love Sumos. Yes they are expensive. They are, however, very big and filling. Much more than midget Halos or Cuties. I buy only Sumo when in season and eat just half at a meal (which also holds down the insulin rush), They are the best so why bother buying other citrus (I do buy grapefruit though also).
They are a wonderful fruit!
My favorite orange by far!
Me too! I love these citrus.
I love them cold. Six bucks for four at Walmart.
I thought i'll buy a dekopon plant next year. Well i'm getting one tonight
Paul you gotta get into Annonaceae man they’re awesome!
I'll check it out, thanks for the advice.
1 found 1 seed out of 16 of them. I'm going to plant it but I live in Michigan so I don't think I will get any fruit.
Just grabbed a bag, 1st time seeing this and heirloom oranges, sumo is $2.50 for 3 lb, heirloom is $5. I'll try heirloom next time
2.99 each is ridiculous. Here in Beijing you can have a dozen with that price and I’m very confident they taste not a single hit worse.
I agree, too bad it's almost impossible to grow your own out here.
Do you mean a dozen Sumo or a dozen other citrus? What's the Chinese name for Sumo variety?
👍♥️🇺🇸 just ordered two 5 gallons tree
That is awesome!
In California?
If this is in California it's illegal to grow sumo citrus from anything from a seed you find and plant. The only except is if you have a commercial growers license.
I ate my first today and got 2-3 seeds
Dang! I have eaten 100's and have yet to find a single seed.
Did you plant them?
@@WhatPlantisthatPaul They a germinated in a paper towl, but not in dirt. Im in pnw so chances are it will be to cold for full maturity but never know!
Richard says I’d eat it
Lol
My wife picked up a few, they're excellent, very sweet and very juicy.
Excellent! We are sad the season is coming to a close, but we have 4 trees now :)
They are five bucks a pound at my grocery store each one is almost a pound I just can't pull the trigger on buying one
I have a tree
Taste to me like large tangerine
They are even better fresh in my opinion, Grow your own... citrusvariety.ucr.edu/crc4249
I been paying 2.75 a piece
16.6% of this fruit's JUICE is sugar... 😉
Yes, of the sample size taken...
Dry and not very good. I do not know how long that particular bag had been in the store (Walmart). I was hoping more tangelo like given that it is basically Minneola/Honeybell sized and shaped only wrinkley.
These sumo citrus are not worth the $4.00 price tag at all.I can name quite a few citrus oranges/tangelos that are just as good or better that do not cost this much for one!! Do not waste your $
$4.00 is too expensive. We pay $2.29 for a large fruit or 2 pound bag for around $4.30. You can always grow your own like I do. citrusvariety.ucr.edu/crc4249
THESE ARE NATURAL VIAGRA
LOL, I just feel healthy and now grow my own.
Grown in central California,Enormously overpriced,Almost 4.00 dollars apiece
