Why Willian start ahead of Pepe is Arteta's game plan. Willian is quite disciplined positional player and good while pressing. Keeping Willian for the first 60 mins or so brings about balance to the attach from the right hand side. Willian brings Bellerin into the play for the overlap and underlap which gives us a good option in attach. Whereas with Pepe, Bellerin have to be in the halfway line to cover for Pepe defensively. After 60 mins or so, Arteta brings in Pepe to unbalance the attack by bringing overload in left hand side when opposition players are little tired, which gives Pepe a better chance to create something good and put the ball across for others to score.
What about vs sheffield, when pepe came on and bellerin got two assists?? also willian has 0 goals so far and pepe is our top scorer, since we are struggling to score goals surely we play pepe who already has a gold in the league when willian doesn't. I don't think Leno's kicking is bad but his decision making is what's bad. Sometimes when he is meant to kick the ball forward, he passes to a player under pressure. But lately it has improved a bit, but I'd be happy if he can work on his decision making.
