1974 Vox AC30 Cranked With 1985 Tokai Les Paul

Got a lot of love on the last video so here’s a little longer video, this time with a Les Paul! Various stages of breakup on the normal channel which puts out a higher output I believe. Volume on around 11-12 o’clock at the very start. I fully crank the amplifier at the end of the video, it goes pretty much into fuzz territory with the humbuckers! Messing around playing some Clapton mostly, enjoy all the mistakes. Will do a full length video with multiple guitars on the clean setting as well at some point.
Recorded with a Shure SM58. No pedals, just pure guitar, cable and amplifier tone!

Great job! This is also a classic example of a tone that sounds absolutely awesome with the guitar solo, away from the backdrop of a bass and drums. It's not a tone however I'd use when playing with a full band. It's why some people say "oh a Tele is so harsh sounding" when they play it in isolation, and yet when you add a full band together, it sits so nice and cuts through.

That's a dream rig. I have the more affordable version of that and it sounds great! Vox Valvetronix 100 and a couple of souped up Epiphone Les Paul guitars. It sounds great with a blues driver.
