I've heard the term "Linux can't get viruses!" I know first-hand this is extremely false. We had some servers that got infected many times because of bad decisions on some of the other users on the system.
There was a guy at a local Bible study group I went to (I refer to the room in the parent factory as the musical chairs room, since no one stays there long). Anyway, he was really nice. Really. The game explicitly informs you at the very beginning that each alien represents a file on your computer, and killing said aliens will delete the file while incrementing your score. The ship represents the lose-lose program, so dying means that the ship gets destroyed and the lose-lose application itself is deleted. Lose-Lose was very transparent about it's intentions, and as a result, isn't really a "nasty" computer virus but rather an indie art house project that some neanderthals may have downloaded without a care or pause in the world only to wonder why system32 disappeared. It's a pretty interesting idea about exploring player intentions and real world consequences in games.

I've heard the term "Linux can't get viruses!" I know first-hand this is extremely false. We had some servers that got infected many times because of bad decisions on some of the other users on the system.

There was a guy at a local Bible study group I went to (I refer to the room in the parent factory as the musical chairs room, since no one stays there long). Anyway, he was really nice. Really. He even offered me a free meal at his restaurant. Why, I don't know. I'm not in serious need of money. But the one thing he said that really got to me, was, in a smug tone: "Macs don't GET viruses". He also asked about me getting his iPad up and running as a Server. He seemed totally Tech-illiterate as far as those things went, but again, he was very kind. It just bugs me is all... Nope havent used it for years, dont use any antivirus, all of em scam. If you really want good protection, go with kaspersky, but personally dont run any antivirus.

If you play video games, Avast is isnt very convenient but they do have a gamer mode lol. I'd recommend Malwarebytes or just doing what Mutahar said, "use adblock, dont download shady applications and look into your soul and find some common sense" 😂

Actually, the "Lose-Lose" game, while technically malware, isn't a virus and isn't even completely malicious.
The game explicitly informs you at the very beginning that each alien represents a file on your computer, and killing said aliens will delete the file while incrementing your score. The ship represents the lose-lose program, so dying means that the ship gets destroyed and the lose-lose application itself is deleted.
Lose-Lose was very transparent about it's intentions, and as a result, isn't really a "nasty" computer virus but rather an indie art house project that some neanderthals may have downloaded without a care or pause in the world only to wonder why system32 disappeared.
It's a pretty interesting idea about exploring player intentions and real world consequences in games.

Yeah I haven't used those in forever either, I sometimes download free ones to check up every so often, I mean I want to download certain things and they are only on sketchy websites, like swords and sandals 2 for example, although it seems legit though, it has some text file saying what to do and Calling the Reader a cunt or something like that.
