- Every ninja has fought an enemy who challenged them more than others. Perhaps they were harder to beat in a fight, or challenged them on a personal level. Here’s my look at each ninja’s worst enemy.

Remember when garmadon used to be kai's worst enemy but when Lloyd became the main character it became between him and garmadon and not between kai and garmadon
I struggle getting through Season 4; The "Elemental Tournament" being the ONLY thing getting me through!! After that.... I lose interest/can't keep up

Another reason for Kalmaar being Nya’s worst enemy is that he was technically the main reason why Jay almost drowned, because he had reawakened Wojira who had flooded Ninjago city and damaged Jay’s sub car to the point he almost drowned. And one of the main reasons why Nya sacrificed her humanity and merged with the sea was to save the love of her life, Jay… whom Wojira & Kalmaar had hurt and almost killed. It’s interesting but also poetic in a way that both Jay & Nya’s worst enemies are people who had hurt and killed/almost killed their partner/ lover. Nadakhan had forced Nya into a wedding she didn’t want, made her possessed by the spirit of his former & deceased lover and accidentally got her shot… which broke Jay. Whilst Kalmaar & Wojira had flooded Ninjago city, damaged Jay’s sub car and almost drowned him, which broke Nya.
Whoa… The connection is uncanny! I never truly thought about it that way until this comment.

I never realized that, I mean, I have only watched short clips from Seabound, not the entire thing, yet, because I'm waiting for it to come to Netflix, but still, that is very interesting
not surprising that seasons called Skybound and Seabound have this many similarities.
I think Lloyd has 5 big villains that reflect a part of him.
1. Pythor, Lloyds first real villain and one that he was personally responsuble for.
2. Garmadon, a reminder that his duty as the Green Ninja will put him in conflict with his loved ones.
3. The Overlord, a physical manifestation of the evils tgat Lloyd will have to face again and again.
4. Morro, his main rival and competator for the power and position he never asked for.
5. Harumi, a villain he inadvertadly created, thanks to Pythor, and one of the worst betrayals he ever experienced that undid all his hardwork and sacrifice.

I think morro might be kais worst enemy. Theyre two halves of the same coin (seriously there are so many similarities) and he threatened the thing kai cared about most in season 5. Protecting Lloyd.
But he became good at the last part and in DOD
yes i agree they are so similar they both desire to be a green ninja and they both have that bad, evil side(I mean we already saw how kai easily turns bad) and also the truly good side, kai was always the first one who will protect his friends and family we had a lot opportunities to see how kai puts himself aside when his friends need help even if that means he won't get what he want. we also saw that morro is deep down good person when sensei tried to save him i think he is not evil but he is definitely void cuz he didn't became green ninja. also they both think they are best, they have a lot of self confidence, they are both strong enough to fight alone. they are my favourite characters.
I'd say morro was more of a greater enemy towards lloyd because morro possessed lloyd
@@floofycupkim1197 yeah so they interacted very little unlike Kai and Morro who were at each other s throats for the majority of the season. Like I said Kai and Morro are so similar, in terms of backstory and personality. It's clear in season 5 that Kai sees a lot of his immature season 1 self in Morro and that's reflected in how mature Kai is this season. Whenever he faces Morro he does so in such a calm, cool and collected manor like when their fighting while sliding down that snowy mountain. It feels like Kai is fighting a younger version of himself.
I haven't really talked a whole lot about their similarities (Granted most are pretty obvious) but one neat detail I love about season 5 is how Morro starts off thinking Lloyd is his greatest enemy and he doesn't care about the other ninja. But as the season progresses he becomes more annoyed with the presence of Kai, even acknowledging him as the defacto leader in the tomb of the fsm. I kinda went on a tangent but if you watch season 5 keeping Morro and kai's relationship and similarities in mind I think you'll find these two characters are extremely alike.

I think it's morro honestly. He's what kai would have been if he kept up the "i'm the green ninja" thing. If possession would have been a kai season than i'm sure morro and him would clash a lot.
I really enjoy seeing heroes and villains having this kind of interaction. You can feel the tension between these characters everytime they face each other. Especially the kind of villains that crawl under the hero's skin.

I agree so much with the Lloyd/Garmadon choice. Just want to add that even though Garmadon was a good person in S3-5, he still caused him lots of emotional pain in the end. Lloyd had to send him to the cursed realm himself, and also accept that if they kill the Preeminent, they will kill Garmadon.

@@thund3rbird738 uh, I agree with you on the first point, but not at all on the second one. Morro definitely hurt Lloyd mentally, a TON. I mean, just stop and think for a moment how it would feel to not have control over your own body. To be constantly fighting from the inside. That would really leave a mental mark.

When I realized Lloyd used the art of the silent fist against his father the one who made it I was very shocked and surprised by the irony at first i didn't know what Lloyd was doing but now I'm like 😮

When I first watched the season I was wondering why that scene seemed do be of importance, not only because he is defeating his father, but also I felt like there was something else, and when I heard about that, I was quite surprised, I couldn't believe it, and somehow it made me happy, maybe because I love Garmadon and Lloyd's relationship in most seasons (mainly seasons 1, part of 2, 3, 4, part of 5 and 10) because of their relationship, Garmadon is one of my favorite characters
Lloyd using it to defeat Garmadon is probably one of my favorite parts of the show because dang it, it's so sweet in a way.
Same, i saw s9 on Netflix, rewatched the entire series and was like wait, rewind time, saw the episode art of the silent fist then skipped to s9 finale and realized thats what he did
Harumi has mentally and emotionally broken down Lloyd so hard and Garmadon has shown him how weak he is and ofc Lloyd feels emotionally broken bc Garmadon is his dad after all
Really for all of them the worst enemy is the one who hurt them the most emotionally at the end.
Garmadon hurts Lloyd because there's always a semblance of how good their relationship could be. We see it in seasons 3 and 4. They fought in early seasons but Garmadon always loved him. In the Oni trilogy you lose that and it breaks the poor kid.
Unagami and Nadakhan work pretty similarly but I'd say you're right to pick Nadakhan because although they do similar things (pick off the ninja one by one until Jay is the last one standing), Nadakhan really does hurt him more with like, the torture and stuff. Jay probably has more trauma from Skybound than Prime Empire.
Krux, like you said, drastically affected Kai's childhood by taking away his parents. Sort of off topic, but I love how they handled Kai and Nya's relationships with their parents in Seabound. Nya was raised by Kai, but as stated in season 5, she also sort of raised him. She's always been very independent so when confronted with an overbearing mother that she barely knows, she gets annoyed. Kai was older when their parents were taken, he remembers them better. That coupled with the responsibilities he had to take on early in life, it makes sense that he would cherish the opportunity to act like a little kid, playing videogames with his dad while his mom makes him a snack.
Back on track, the Skull Sorcerer is a bit weaker, but because of the connection to Cole's mother, it makes sense. Also, Cole doesn't receive too much emotional pain beyond Vangelis calling his mother a liar. But something interesting about Cole is that he doesn't seem to be as emotionally affected by a lot of things as the others. He has trauma, definitely. The loss of his mother, a lot of stuff in other seasons, turning into a ghost hurt him pretty hard. But he seems to have strengthened emotionally more than the others. Kai tends to lash out at things that hurt him, Jay will cover his pain up with a joke, Nya, though on a smaller degree, also has a tendency to lash out, Lloyd just kinda bottles things up because of the stress of being a Master at such a young age, and Zane, as we've seen, will compartmentalize so much that he creates a multi-part puzzle lock in order to contain his most painful memories, and will let them fester to the point that they start deleting his other memories (please get this boy some help). But Cole just... deals with it. After DOTD he's gotten incredibly good at working through his issues and becoming mentally healthy. Good for him.
Back on track again, Vex doesn't hurt Zane physically (beyond making him lose his memory) but he hurts him a whole lot emotionally. He's not so much Zane's worst enemy, but rather he turns Zane into his OWN worst enemy. Makes him into everything he's always hated, everything he's always feared he could be, and DANG IT THE SHOW REALLY NEEDS TO ADDRESS THIS. I AM TIRED OF GETTING MY ZANE ANGST ONLY THROUGH SPINCHIP'S FANFICTION.
And then Nya. Kalmaar is just a plain a-hole from the beginning (committing the first on-screen murder of the show, which is fun), and of course he and Wojira nearly drown Jay which is the whole reason Nya became the ocean in the first place. But the thing is, at the end of the day, Nya isn't left with trauma. ANY trauma. When we see her in the ocean at the end she's frolicking with the whales, completely happy and carefree. The whole show she's been a little tense, high-tempered, always trying to be the best on her own terms. But now, she's free. She's become more powerful than she could have ever imagined. She has no reason to try and prove herself to anyone anymore. It's a tragic ending sure, but what makes it hurt more is that Nya isn't sad about it. She might as well be dead, because she's basically in heaven while everyone else in Ninjago mourns.
anyways that was a ranty essay on why this show is amazing and everyone should watch it.
honestly most the villains in ninjago are most personal with Lloyd, only really realised that when thinking about this video… Lloyd has huge rivalries with Garmadon, Harumi, Morro, Pythor and even to an extent The Overlord and Chen as main rivals… Of course you can really push it to say Kozu, the HoT, Nadakhan and basically every other villain, but its mad to think lloyd qualifies as a main rival to so much villains

Despite the time season being a kai AND nya season, it did feel a tad more of a kai season. Though, I strongly feel like season 5 was even more like a kai season. Especially when Kai fought morro for the sword of sanctuary. And won(it was soooooooo awesome). I also really loved skybound. It really developed Jay’s character wonderfully.
I agree with most of these. Although I wish the rivalry between Kai and Krux was focused on more. Krux wasn’t a very well written villain and I’m sure most of you would agree. If Kai and Krux maybe had more time to flesh out this rivalry and maybe have Acronix take a bit of a backseat and have Krux be more prominent, expand his motives, and take a look into his psychology that could’ve potentially resulted in a better Hands of Time season.
Hands of time had the potential to be one of the best seasons, yet it turned out to be one of the worst

I think that Mr. E also works. He's not just a Nindroid that defeated Zane. He's the perfect embodiment of what Zane fears becoming - a soulless machine. During their duel, Zane said "You don't have to do this". And in response received only indifferent silence. I think it was then that he began to fear that he might become the same. Mr E is Zane's perfect rival
You know one of the best lloyd villains is still pythor...he is actually the main reason he became a good guy in the first place and the first to ever betray lloyd before even garmadon and harumi
hes also indirectly responsible for lloyd and harumis relationship and garmadons dark ressurection in the oni/dragon trilogy
I think Cryptor is Zane's main villian, since Zane and Cryptor have a better relationship then Vex, Vex barely had a relationship with Zane and he just corrupted him rather than doing anything to make him an opponent of Zane

For Kai I would honestly go for Morro because he is such a dark mirror for Kai and forces Kai to change and step up. He also is a personal villain for Kai as he pretty much destroyed the promise Kai made to Lloyd in the same day which gets Kai to move on from his failure

I feel like instead of the second arch nemesis of Lloyd being harumi it instead should’ve been morro. Morro possessed Lloyd, 1v1d him and in season 11 ice chapter Lloyd called morro one of the worst villains

Here’s my choices:
Lloyd: Harumi- Since Lloyd actually likes his father and knows he isn’t really able to control what he does, I chose Harumi since she messed with his mind and broke his heart (Sounds corny but it’s true)
Kai: Chen- He is constantly messing with Kai about his parents, more, I’d say, than Krux and Acronix
Jay: Nadakahn- I agree with Daily’s reasoning here
Zane: Vex- Again, I agree with Daily
Cole: Yang- The skull sorcerer had no beef with Cole or his mom for any personal reason, they just happened to get in his way. Yang literally turned Cole into a ghost and tried to banish him to his temple as a ghost forever.
Nya: Nadakhan- I think Kalmar isn’t nyas worst enemy for the same reason I think the skull sorcerer isn’t coles worst enemy. Nadakahn tried it force Nya to marry him, which is so messed up

@s Zane and Cole are the Ninja with the least screen time and that's just sad, considering Cole used to be the leader and Zane was an absolutely awesome Ninja. Now, it seems like they're just some extras they have to drag along. And in my opinion, I think it was a bad idea to make Nya a Ninja.

I definitely agree with krux being kais worst enemy. He's literally the cause of everything that has to do with the Smith family's relationships and upbringing. Kai literally had to give up his entire childhood to raise Nya because he kidnapped his parents and then krux used that fact against him. He also threatened master Wu's life who Kai thinks as a father figure at this point. Krjx did so many bad things to this family that I still wish if Kai was to have a season I want the villain to be the time twins so they can finnish this battle once and for all.
I never thought about this. It does take some thought, especially for Kai and Cole but I agree that Krux kinda made Kai who he was and Vangelis did everything that Lilly wanted Cole to protect against. As for Zane and Vex, it would have been nice to get a battle between them and maybe for the next Zane season he can get a villain that he alone fights(maybe even someone from his father's past who refuses to listen to reason and just wants Power from Zane, only in this case Zane doesn't have amnesia or is corrupted by a magical forbidden staff)

It has just occurred to me that they foreshadowed Zane being the ice emperor in the season before with showing his greatest fear was loosing his humanity.
I feel like both Kai and Nya’s enemies are the Time Twins.
Garmadon is not Lloyd's Enemy, He just Lloyd's Father until He'll turn back to Good Again just like from "Episode 26 - Rise of The Spinjitzu Master"
I hope so, and even if he turns good, but is still in the form we last saw him in, I would be just fine with that. Even if he just acts like how he acted in Season 10 I would be fine, I just want him to return. I get that the writers of Ninjago want new allies and enemies, but Garmadon just feels like a main character. We got his wife, Misako, which is an old ally, so I feel like we should get Garmadon, as well

Krux and Morro (Chen is also a good option, but he is more skylars enemy that kai just happened to get caught up in between, and we only really saw them interact a lot in episode 7)
Krux imprisoned his family for like 20 years so Kai hates him. And Morro was a threat to lloyd, and Kai hated him as well. people say Morro is lloyds rival but if u rewatch the season he interacts and fights with kai the most. Kai had a whole looking over lloyd arc, and morro challenged this. Kais story in season 5 is to work together and lead his brothers to defeat morro and save lloyd just as he promised.

I disagree with Zane's. Because the thing with Vex never carried beyond S11 which is a shame. It's also the reason why I see more people here saying that the Overlord is a better fit for him because The Overlord is the reason for how Zane looks now in his Titanium form. Everything else I agree with
Guys, guys, we ALL know that the ninja's main enemy is master wu. He basically is the cause of every single villan. All bc he was stupid enough to not take that sword. Oh and if ur gonna say what about nadakan or chen or anyone else... well the only reason naddakan is evil is bc of the events of possesion WHICH ALSO HAPPENED BC OF MASTER WU everything links to master wu somehow. If he told the ninja about the overlord, krux and acronix, morro, i swear he is the cause of every single season! I wouldve loved it if wu was the one to get bitten it wouldve been way better for a sensei garmadon which we eventually got and then lost a few seasons after :)

i would like to say my opinion in 2022 after season 16 ended
1st off, lloyd: while rolord says garmadon is his enemy but now on season 16 they've come together like bonding so i believe it has to be pythor for tricking him in season 1 while handing him to the ninja, i wouldnt say harumi because in season 16 she switched sides at the end.
2nd off, kai: as again rolord says that krux might be his worst enemy but i wouldnt say that because we all know krux captured his parents and chen for making his daughter to trick kai but i would say aspheera the underrated enemy of all ninjago, the reason i would say aspheera is because kai intends on his power mostly and he only saw his parents like in season 7 and 15 which is an odd gap.
3rd, jay: i would say that rolord is right, unagami cant be his enemy because unagami isnt a threat anymore but nadakhan tried to marry nya i would say that was heartfelt for him and there is no other person that would beat nadakhan.
4th, cole: as again i would say that skull sorcerer would be a good choice not only he enslaved his friends but also his skull fought his mother and they were trash talking about her and cole so yeah.
5th, zane: while rolord says that vex might be his worst enemy i would have to agree and say that the overlord is his worst enemy, but as vex he manipulated him and forced him to do stuff i would say that the fight of him and the overlord he had to sacrifice his life for the safety for his friends and family.
6th, nya: obviously kalmaar no other enemy lol.

Imo I think the ninjas main villains are these characters.
Kai: Krux because Kai was angry at him in episode 67 in the museum fight when he told Kai that his parents were traitors and the story continues.
Cole: Skull Sorcerer because of that 2 blades thing.
Jay: Nadakhan because Jay was not happy about him wanting to take Nya for infinite wishes and at the start of skybound jay wanted wishes.
Zane: Vex because he corrupted Zane to be the ice emperor
Lloyd: Harumi or Garmadon really hard to choose, Harumi hated Lloyd because of the great devourer thing and they were massive enemies through the end of s8 and into s9.
Nya: Kalmaar because of the whole whojira thing and nyas powers not working at the start of seabound
Wu: Acronix or Garmadon hard to choose, Wu and Garmadon had a big fight in battle between brothers which was big and Acronix hitting Wu with the time punch was also big.

Wu has Samukai as their main villain and at the start of the pilots.
Lloyd has Pythor as their main villain because Pythor betrayed him
Kozu idk I doubt he has one.
Overlord: Lloyd because Lloyd was trying hard to defeat the overlord and then did it
Cryptor: Zane but its difficult to choose, I chose Zane for this one because of the technoblade thing.
Master Chen: Garmadon and Kai, but mainly Garmadon because of his backstory with Chen.
Morro: Lloyd and Wu, Lloyd because morro possessed him, Wu because he didnt let Morro be the green ninja
Yang: Cole because yang was the reason cole turned into a ghost
Wu would possible also have Harumi as another main villain because she would have told the sons of garmadon to capture Wu and that must have been how he got captured by the sons of garmadon as a baby after golden hour but idk.
Iron Baron I also dont know.
The Omega would be Lloyd and Garmadons main villain because they went in the darkness to destroy the realm crystal
Aspheera would be Wu's main villain because aspheera betrayed wu with spinjitzu to overtake ninjago and then wu locked her in a cage.
Unagami idk about.

I think these are spot on but in my opinion I’d say Harumi is lloyds greatest enemy I know he’s known garmadon since birthday but he knew he was evil to some extent and wanted to be him as a kid so honestly I think Harumi is since he clearly has been still hurt and messed up over the fact that he had real feelings and the one he loved just turned out evil
And for Zane Cryptor
Kai's worst enemy seems like Aspheera...... but it makes sense that the Hands of Time are.
another reason why Kalmar would be Nya's worst enemy, is that he, was the one who made her powers go crazy, which caused her to ruin one of the missions, and caused things to be hard for her friends and made her feel very guilty.

Honestly, I'd argue that Morrow was Lloyd's worst enemy. If you think about it, being possessed and having his body being used like that is probably one of the scarier things to happen to you and would be really mentally scarring because it was so physical and personal. Idk it's a kids show I guess so maybe I'm thinking too realistically but I do believe that Morrow was one of the nastier villains and his whole character arc was based around Lloyd so it got really personal. I think it's probably a tie between Morrow and Garmadon because they were both really personal to Lloyd. Man Lloyd really gets more trauma thrown his way like every season oof

Lloyd and Jay's worst enemy somehow are the most powerful enemies they fought
To me Lloyd’s worst enemys are: Overlord, Garmadon, Harumi but mostly Pythor (it’s his first villain, both have a history and a reason to fight each other, and just overall I think Pythor caused Lloyd more suffering-Great Devourer awakening which caused the entire season 8, helping Overlord to steal Lloyd’s Golden energy which led to his gave in his Golden energy, caused Garmadon’s and Chen’s death and almost caused death of Wu). So overall Garmadon isn’t his greatest enemy becose he still has fealings for his son, Harumi is just evil becose of Pythor and Overlord is after Pythor Lloyd’s worst enemy but I feel he is more of The First Spinjitzu Master’s worst enemy with Oni’s (Omega?).

i honestly feel that morro could be kai's villain, theres not much dialogue between him and morro in season 5, but the moments we do get are really good. I just wish we got a real villain/season for kai :(

If they're gonna end the show soon, not that I want them to because Ninjago never dies! They should have one enemy that is so challenging, so conniving, so powerful, it'll require more than just their usual allies. A final endgame battle that will decide the fate of the realms.
