    Good luck with your feeding tube and I hope it helps you feel better! I want you to know you've inspired me to train services dogs and I recently signed up with my local trainers, who train PTSD dogs for veterans, to start training dogs. I was inspired by Harlow being so amazing and saving your life! I was so surprised that a dog could be trained that way!

    I just recently found your page. You have been a great help to my 80-year-old mother who just had to have all of her intestines removed, everything. She had a port put in yesterday and does not know anything about it. I played her your video all about your port and she is so much more confident now that she will be able to learn how to take care of it herself. You are providing a great service to those who do not understand some of these medical things that are going on with them. I hope you start feeling better soon.

      She is on TPN and she cannot absorb foods at all. She eats and it sits in her stomach for a little while then goes out her stoma into a bag.

    I'm unsure if you've ever seen Christina Doherty on TH-cam but she has EDS as well as POTS , MALS , Gastroparesis and MCAS and she has a permanent GJ tube which she has been loving. If it's something you'd be interested in watching she has her experience with it on her channel. I understand that everyone is different and what works for one can be bad for another but she has had a good experience for her. Hope everything that goes well! I know this isn't what anyone wanted to have to do but I'm happy that you have an option that may help you. Best of luck with everything. Love you guys!

    Seriously Jaquie, you are SO smart!! I know you're confronted with medical terms almost every day due to your chronic illnesses, but even though you learn new things every day, you seem to pick up on them so quickly. the understanding you have for what's going on medically is amazing!
    so glad you will finally be getting release with that feeding tube. i just hope that vomiting cycle will stop when you get your tube, because i can barely imagine how hard that dry heaving must be....

    "Feel like a walking corpse" I actually felt that when you said it. that is a horrible, but very accurate feeling. I get that feeling probably 4-6 days per week, always before and after sleep. my family (daughter 12, son 5, partner) make me feel like It's my fault I feel this way. Full disclosure, though, I've stopped Dr appts. I just stay in the house and suffer, so I guess I get it. Jacqui, I'm pulling for you and am getting inspired to (one more time) see another set of dr's to try to ease my invisible disability (s). thank you!!!

      Sounds like u need to ditch the partner if s/he isn't helpful and makes u feel like your faking it. PPL can only treat you like that if you allow it. Teach the kids about whats wrong with you and ask them how they would feel if they were sick and someone treated them like that. They'll get the point. Oh...and the 5 y/o learns it from watching his sister & your partner. Do u really want your son to grow up not believing in you? To treat the female in his life like your partner treats you? Oh honey...I'll pray for you. No one should have to put up with that.

    i'm so glad that you are on the right track to getting nutrition! I hope you are feeling a bit better today! I don't want to overstep, but one thing that I would highly recommend is talking with your doctors through all of the pros and cons of J vs GJ. of course you and your doctors know your body best but when i got my GJ placed it was very helpful that the doctor talked with us about the J vs GJ because I would really have regretted not being able to vent the G portion it is so helpful with gastroparesis. I hope you figure out the plan for what is going to work best for your body and start the road to feeling better!

    When I had some imaging done with contrast, they warned me beforehand that it might feel like I peed myself, which I found entertaining that that was included in the 'are you allergic to shellfish and/or latex?' spiel. Sending good vibes and best wishes from Orlando!

    • @shaymacgregor8775
      @shaymacgregor8775 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Kristine Lawrence I had the same thing happen, but the contrast was horribly painful, I was barely coherent, had two asthma attacks, 9/10 pain, and I could barely see.

    • @justvibinginouterdarkness
      @justvibinginouterdarkness 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sounds like you were allergic to the contrast, that is 100% not a normal reaction

    • @shaymacgregor8775
      @shaymacgregor8775 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      And to boot, I hadn't eaten anything in 24 hours, and they wanted oral contrast too. So I had to drink 38 ounces of water, with no food, in a little under an hour. So when I got in there, I laughed when they told me it would feel like I had peed myself. I was 90% sure I that if I was in there for more than 15 minutes, I wouldn't need the contrast for that feeling. All in all, pretty miserable day, I was admitted because of concern of appendicitis, due to stomach pain, and a high white blood cell count. After hours of hell, it turned out, I had a mild flu, and needed to take a mild laxative because the illness messed with my ibs and gerd. I'm covered in bruises because they wouldn't listen to me when I told them where to place the IV ( I have unfortunately too much experience with needles. grr) And I also have nerve pain, because the needle was too big and placed improperly. At least now I have a reason to turn down the contrast besides " I don't want another needle in me today", lol. Sorry, this is long. I needed to rant.

    So if you need to have the mask on and youre high risk for contamination then why doesn't Judd wear a mask or need to be protected? And in this video did you have a feeding tube at all? BTW I LOVE your video and you two and Harlow💖💖💖💖💖 you're also such an inspiration to me because I have a lot of pain in my feet that is shooting pain or just a lot of pain when I stand and other pain associated with my feet that will wake me up in the night or get so bad where I'm admitted to the hospital for like a week on high powered pain meds and I go to hospitals all over the us and no one has seemed to be able to help me and I can't even imagine how much pain you must be in most of the time or having to deal with a feeding tube or changing your port needle every so often and I just can't believe how positive you are and you stay strong and Judd is an amazing partner to stay and help with everything and I'm so happy for you two!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️

    i have ibs and it gets really really bad with gluten-- i get horrible stomach cramping and nausea, similar to how you are feeling in this video :( my GI doctor perscribed me .125 mg (i think) of hyocyamine, which is an anti spasm drug, and it really helps me. it takes awhile to work since it's a by-mouth thing (which i now realize you can't have-- but maybe through the feeding tube? idk how this stuff really works haha) but yeah once it starts wroking it honestly is like a miracle. i highly suggest asking your doctor about it if you haven't found a good solution. (also i know you uploaded this video awhile ago but im relatively new to your channel so yeah. stay strong!! its super hard sometimes but i believe in you

    So glad your doctors are being pro-active!! The TPN will help sooo much!! It's a good short term option until you can get your feeding tube. Praying for you!! :)

    I'm a new subscriber here, honestly give all my respect to you to be able to be so positive in everything you do despite being sick and in pain all the time. I'm curious does vlogging makes you feel exhausted? Like holding the camera and stuff. I do not know a lot about chronic illnesses but watching your videos lets me understand more!

    I know how you feel about dry heaving. I was really sick and kept dry heaving. I also had it when I was overheating recently.

    I'm just curious, what if a patient at the hospital is highly allergic to dogs, do they just move them somewhere else? Or do they as patients first?

    Since your room is technically a double, you could see if they have an extra bed Judd could use

    They put me on tpn for 12 weeks at one point for crohns disease flare and then went to the feeding tube. It was amazing as far as how much energy it gave me. Best of luck and feel better.

    So pleased that your starting to feel a bit better on the TPN. I was surprised the door to your room was kept open with your immuneo deficiency though, or does the whole ward have the same protocols? It's a shame Judd couldn't stay, but like you said he needs his rest too between shifts, I used to do 4 on 4 off rotating 12 hour shifts and it was exhausting doing 2 days immediately followed by 2 nights, I was always thankful for my rest days.

      Boris and Eko's Daft Adventures I had this exact same thought about the open door, but Jaq is very knowledgeable so I’m assuming the whole floor must be on immuno protocol or she would have the door closed. Not sure, looking forward to an answer in future blogs.

    Every time Judd comes on to say that J has gone down for X-ray, imaging etc...I semi expect for Judd to cut away and vlog some sort of crazy antics he and Harlow start doing while "mom's away". Oh wait, that's what my hubby does with our kids whenever I "go down" with illness or injury haha.

    Has any doctor discussed doing anything to relieve the constriction caused my your median arcuate ligament? It's probably a risk, but surgical division of the fibers is an option for some people who have GI constriction caused by the MAL. It's not the only surgical option, but any GI doctor should be discussing ways to relieve the problem with it cutting off bloodflow.

    I know you have said ur insurance will no longer pay for I've zofran? But have u tried zofran ODT it is a tiny tab that dissolves in ur mouth and soaks through the mucas membrane in ur mouth you do not need water or anything. I have chronic vomiting from gastrprisis but not as bad as yours and zofran oDT has been a miracle for me!!!

    lol, for some reason they decided to use the ultra sound machine for me once when i was dehydrated (although my veins were probably pretty small from that) and it was so weird. Though, they didn't get it in the first time. She had to go fishing for my vein and i almost passed out ;~:

    Peritoneal is pronounced: {pear I toe kneel - with a short I}. Even though u got nauseated/sick in hospital, you still look 80% better & almost human. I do so hope this tube is the answer to your prayers. I have Fibromyalgia and most days it's all I can do to get from the bed to the couch. forget fixing meals or even eating (if hubby picks something up)...it's just too much effort & no energy to do it. and then on days I do feel good, I over do it and spend the next week feeling like crap. It's a never ending circle. so..I feel for ya. Having no energy is awful. Hey...where did u get your puke bag? That is so handy.

      SuzyQue yes, except the word is parenteral, not peritoneal!
