For Story 3: A Catholic priest who breaks the seal of Confession is AUTOMATICALLY excommunicated under the 1983 Canon Law Code. This is extremely, extremely serious to the Church. The wronged party could report this to their local bishop and this priest would lose his ability to practice.
That was what I thought too. Confession is supposed to be so sacred, getting absolved by God for your sins.. not getting blackmailed by your priest. Canon 21 - "For whoever shall dare to reveal a sin disclosed to him in the tribunal of penance we decree that he shall be not only deposed from the priestly office but that he shall be sent into the confinement of a monastery to do perpetual penance." The priest is supposed to show no outward judgement and act as God’s messenger to work through the contrition with the parishioner. I would be running this up as far into the dioceses as I could, even with it being “adultery”.
@@ESPHMacD Yes, exactly! I also have never heard of penance like requiring that you tell your partner before. In my understanding, penance is to reflect on past sin and has no impact on your ability to be reconciled with the Church (i.e. why most penance are prayers you can do right after). This priest has seriously got to get it together because this is basic catechesis.
@@miamoore2266 I don’t think there are situations where a valid confession would leave someone in danger. You cannot confess to a sin you have yet to do (i.e. “I want absolution for a murder I’ll commit tomorrow”). If you’re confessing to something, like standing by while a sin is continuously committed (like allowing a friend to continuously murder), 1) I don’t really know what particular sin that would be despite being very bad but 2) a priest cannot break the confessional seal EVER. There are some local laws attempting to compel priests to do that, but there are no reasons in canon law that a priest ever could. This is because confession is a sacrament. It is the only thing that allows someone who has sinned (almost all of us) to be reconciled with the Church, which to Catholics, is the only way to get to Heaven. If confession were to be compromised by priests constantly telling others, it would defile the sacrament and therefore hurt peoples ability to get to Heaven. This is the top priority of the Church, so the confessional seal is very, very important. I know this was a lot to take in and is foreign reasoning to some people, but I appreciate you taking the time to read it!!
Damn.. I'm blown away by the rules. So interesting to someone not involved in church. Thank you for sharing. I really hope this lady did now. I need to go find the post again and see if I can get an update.
For story 1, human bites are way more dangerous than we account for, a strong bite can cut off a finger. Not to mention that if the bite broke the skin, you're usually put on an antibiotic treatment because the mouth has lots of bacteria that are not fine to go in other parts of the body (not even including the extra damage if the person biting has poor dental hygiene)
1000000% I don't blame the reaction at all, My husband would probably react the same LOL! Though it sounds like a parenting issue. Just haven't corrected the biting. He probably gets negative reinforcement for biting at home, and that just doesn't work. So he probably bites more than just his parents because they just haven't found the correct way to kick his biting habit
Hold on BUT what if its your own saliva??? Its a thing in my family that to stop the itching you put your own saliva on a mosquito bite and i do that sht all the time even if by this point ive realized it doesnt work😂😬😳 serious question lol
I'd say the first story was totally reasonable because a bite deep enough to draw blood could totally get infected very badly! ive heard human bites can be even more deadly than animal ones
Yes a human bite is one of the most dangerous injuries due the extremely high likely hood of the passage of blood borne pathogens! Plus the fear of seeing your partner go through that, there really wouldnt be a case against them.
I work in special education and we get bit a lot. More than a few teachers have had infections. People don’t understand how quickly it can happen. I always got every bite checked out that broke the skin.
I agree. And they said he could've picked the child up and moved him away. Obviously he couldn't because the child was clamped down on her leg and picking him up could've made that worse. I would've definitely smacked that child away and smacked the mother if she had an issue.
I once had a kid bite me with blood drawn and I screamed to the parent that I was HIV positive and that they needed to get to the doc asap to get HIV blockers and get him checked in 3 months. That kid will never bite anyone ever again.
This is an old copy pasta. Old enough I would bet most people who are watching this never saw it circulate. Pre 4chan Forsure. But I highly doubt you did that and are likely repeated this same exact story that someone told you
@@mrdavman13 in my country kids don't go around biting people. There was a boom in kids testing positive in the late 90s from their parents. Then a burst of cases of kids getting it from each other from the play ground. I grew up getting health class lesson telling us what not to do like biting people, doing what Stewie and Brian did, or sharing some things like razors (we preferred to sharpen our pencils and shave our own bodies ourselves using razorblades when I was a kid). This exact situation must definitely have happened more than a few times in my country, and the Stewie/Brian thing just as much. I read that story too once and was so confused why people thought it was fake.
Story 1: when mentioning the child neglect. if the mom is in the restroom, can she not hear a women scream right outside to be concern of her children to come out? Even OP noticed and came to find out that his partner was bitten by a child.
For story 6 - Why does a stay at home mom not have enough money for her discretional spending to afford a SIXTY DOLLAR medication?? From the rest of her writing it didn't seem like the family was otherwise in a troubled financial situation - When she said she needed to break in for an emergency I was expecting a total in the thousands. Definitely sounds like financial abuse if she doesn't even have her own bank account. RUN!
Seriously, my husband gives me money for spending every week or so but even if he didn’t, if my man knew he was gonna be out of town he absolutely would make sure I had money for emergencies (at the very least) I hope she finds a safe way out, I’m so scared for her
The idea that people find it acceptable that the SAHM has to have a "discretionary spending account" is pretty gross. Because it is literally never equal to what their spouses get to spend because it is never in discretion.
Also not to mention the teeth on children are highly prone to tooth decay due to thin enamel, which means the teeth will likely be all sorts of jagged, and will likely break upon high pressure with the skin
Totally agree. I don't want to die of liver cirrhosis because some kid bit me because their CAREGIVER was neglectful. Same as if I would be mad at risking rabies because someone let their dog roam around, biting, paying no attention. Awful. Horrible parent. I hope they are paying MUCH more attention to their kid, and gets them counseling, cuz no happy and well adjusted kid is biting constantly.
When I was young, I was bitten by another child. It was on the knuckle of one of my fingers and it broke the skin. I have never been able to make a fist since, and I grew a benign tumor near the site of the infection when I was about 9 or 10. It had to be surgically removed twice. A couple of decades later, I'm starting to grow the tumor there again. I don't have full mobility of that knuckle and never have.
Criminal negligence. When it costs to be stupid Also, no if. He owned a device to regularly check levels. 🙃 collector knew as he was literally monitoring the radiation, just ignorantly.
This video is just new fear after new fear. Fear of feral children biting me randomly, fear of slowly getting radiation poisoning in my own home, fear of being sued just because somebody stole my lunch.
@@vianeyboruel504 this is also what worried me. I’m scared that he discovered her device unlocked and saw the post. If he did, he might isolate her even more. I’m so worried for this lady and her kid.
@@madnessarcade7447financial abuse is a well-known, common tactic of abusers to keep control over their victims. It's literally what was happening in the story: even though their child was sick and they're married, and the wife has the full-time job of being the children's primary caregiver, her husband had so much control over her that she wasn't even allowed to have $60 for necessary medication for THEIR children. That's a dangerous thing to do to the children as well as the wife. Financial abuse makes a victim dependent on their abuser because they literally don't have the ability to get out (can't afford a hotel, can't afford food without their abuser giving them money, etc). It's not a silly thing, it's an element of domestic violence. And no, throwing coins at your partner and slapping them with money is just regular old physical abuse.
Story 3: So if the priest was catholic (Which I'm assuming since confession is mainly part of the catholic faith) He is actually subjected to another law apart from the one used in the country he practices. This law is called canonical law and there are 2 articles which basically forbid him from divulging any information gained through the confession (articles 983 and 984 of the canonical code of law) Which means OP could pursue legal action through the church, yeah they will not get financial retribution but the priest will surely get a sanction from it.
Yes tecnically he should loose his licenze to practice. The confession seal can be broken but you need authorization from the church (some priests have been asked to do so by the police while investigating on seriuos crimes and the church agreed)
What an awesome guest. Thank you for taking the time to speak about DACA. My boyfriend and I are currently in the process of citizenship (he is a DACA recipient brought at 8 MONTHS old). I love to hear it talked about in any instance, but especially on my favorite podcast. I was tearing up with you!!
Bro I almost cried talking about it and writing my reply to you. Its such an important issue. To think someone like your boyfriend (who has been here since a baby and his only memory of home is here) could be deported is insanity. So happy to hear you're in the process of citizenship! Sending all the good vibes your way
I used to teach. 99% of my “DACA kids” were the absolute best. We need them here so badly! One is in medical school now (others in schools for nursing, education, PT, carpentry, pharmacy, education, and so many other critical careers) but worry about being deported…it’s ridiculous that they have to live in the fear they do in a country that is becoming more and more of a Xenophobic Echo Chamber by the day.
This country is full of illegals. The government doesn't actively round them up and send them back, so no, they don't have to worrie about being deported. In many cases, they can still get a driver's license, receive welfare benefits, and even vote as an undocumented person. They're fine.
What does DACA stand for? I'm not in the US and have never heard of DACA, wish they would have explained it in the podcast. It's not just Americans watching/listening
Last story: as a mom of an almost 4 year old I can almost guarantee that it has more to do with the novelty of swiping his card than anything else. Kids should be given cash not a card if you want to teach them about money, they can’t conceptualize the fact that a card has a limited balance.
I agree! I've been teaching my son the value of money since that age. Whether he understood it all the way or not wasn't important to me because I know that with kiddos repetition is key. If I keep circling back to the same concept he eventually has more understanding. I can say with 100% guarantee that having cash to look at is a much better way to go than a card. Reading the numbers on a card transaction means little to nothing at that age but seeing in real time the cash going away is a big tell to them on what's happening with the money. I still have money conversations with my son at 9 years of age. He has such a big heart and wants to spend his earnings on others. He has a more concrete idea now on what that means and what he needs to do to create more money as well as what to do to save for his future or big ticket items. It's exciting for him to do random chores for our household or the neighbors to collect money. (Neighbors give him $5 a bucket of pecans/acorns that are picked up from their yard).
That hr story has me fucked up. How tf is it not clear that the coworker stole it?? They don't know who's lunch it is but it's obviously ops?? I can't. I'm in tears help 😭😭
This got me so mad!! If It’s not clear he stole it, how is it clear it is OP’s fault? If it was his own food, why would he be trying to blame it on her? Doesn’t add up The AUDACITY of this coworker, i can’t.
HR isn't there to protect you--it's there to protect the company. They protect the company by making it your fault. I haven't heard the story yet *BUT* is it's that one that got popular where OP put something in it the boss's daughter was allergic to: that's attempted murder.
Story 4: I'm so relieved for the happy ending, but shouldn't sister-mom not have had the authority to do anything, let alone sign a DNR? Did she not sign over her parental rights when her parents legally adopted her son? It seems like there should have been no question about her role or what she could expect.
Story 6 hits close to home for me. My ex husband of 7 yrs was emotionally, mentally and financially abusive towards me. I was a SAHM of 2 little ones. I had no access to the bank account. He wouldn't pay my car insurance or anything. He told me if I wanted more money I needed to take my ex to court for more child support( I have a daughter who is now 18 from a previous relationship). This woman needs to run. He's prob abusive in more ways too.
I thought maybe the medications would be $500 or $600 but the fact that she couldn’t afford $60 is absolutely terrible I feel so bad for her and her kid that the dad didn’t give them priority or care enough to help his family
Story 2: you need to not only inform your landlord but someone who can look into and remove all of his radon shit, thats a HUGE hazard. You need to inform your local hazardous material department. He is putting multiple lives at risk and he KNOWS. He knows because of how panicked he got when informed of the levels, he is not that stupid. He didn't take the proper precautions and fucked up.
For the financial abuse story, she doesn't have a job, she doesn't have money, doesn't have a house. If she simply files for divorce, she will lose her kids. She needs to take them to a DV shelter. This being on record will assist her in the divorce and the shelter will help her get her life together. I wish them the best
I'm listening to the podcast on Spotify and let me just say this, I REALLY hope the woman from story 1 is okay and went straight to the hospital after the incident, SHE WAS BLEEDING ITS AN OPEN WOUND!!! "Human bites have been shown to transmit hepatitis B, hepatitis C, herpes simplex virus (HSV), syphilis, tuberculosis, actinomycosis, and tetanus"
Story #6 When she said she didn't even have $60 for medicine when her husband was gone I was baffled, and him expecting her to wait until he gets home to get medicine for thier sick child! She needs to get out before it's too late, this isn't the 1920s and she should have a bank account at thr minimum.
Ugghhh!! The one with the husband in a coma hits HOME! Not with the sister/mom… just the coma. My boyfriend of 10+ years wasn’t expected to live through the night. He has MRSA. We didn’t know, & he went septic. He was on a ventilator for about a week, & no doctor knows how he made it. I can’t stop crying now remembering that whole time he was in the hospital. 😭🖤
If anyone is wondering why the clocks had some much radium, it could be from how pre and during WWI they would paint the numbers and hands with radium so you could see it in the dark. The woman who painted them were extremely sick from this and the average citizens were told raduim was good for you so they believed it was a good thing. The paint vial was definitely a major major major hazard as it's basically pure radium.
By far my favorite episode!! Not only because I too am a DACA recipient and I’m so proud of the representation but the stories were super interesting from all angles. The wife with the fiancé in a coma really messed me up because you think you’re too young to start writing a will but you really never know what’s going to happen and from my point of view we have no one trusted available to represent either side of us and we have 1 kid and don’t trust a single soul. I usually never leave comments but this episode really moved me. Both of you were great ❤️❤️❤️
I'm so so happy it resonated with you. The will stuff is scary but its never too soon to create one. Dellara is amazing and I'm happy to hear you felt represented.
For the priest story, I actually think she can sue. I went to seminary, if a person is licensed with the state, there are standards they need to live by. Clergy are mandatory reporters. I’m not a pastor and have been out of seminary for a few years now, but there is a standard of privacy that we are supposed to keep unless it’s a danger
As a priest in any confessional aspect, that specifically pertains to Church laws that completely forbid ever speaking about what is confessed to you. There are even state laws that allow pastors to be exempt from testifying due to it since Canon law forbids it and they'd be risking their entire livelihoods.
@@aphroditeheart that’s what I thought, but I couldn’t remember it since it’s been so long since I was taught the rules. At the very least, she should report him
the legality of breaking confession depends on the country but according to the church a priest is automatically excommunicated if he breaks the seal of confession. in my - catholic majority - country, the priest that breaks confidentiality can get a fine or even get locked up for 3-12 months, depending on the case also, “funnily” enough, although clergy are mandated reporters (in your country/state) canon law doesn’t allow priests to reveal matters that are confided in them during confession. ever
honestly, this could have been a teaching moment. The parents could of used this moment to teach their kid about natural consequences: if u bite someone you will get punched.
If my kid did this to someone I'd probably tell the kid we'll play stupid games win stupid prizes but I bet that child didn't do it again. But I am the mom that when my kids bite me I bite them back after the first time my son didn't do it again my daughter was a little more hard headed but she bite my son one time and drew blood and he was pissed and bit her back hard and she caught on after that
Wow Story five hits home with me. My fiance/ Father of my baby died 3 weeks ago. We wanted to wait to make it legally binding until our daughter turned 1. We had discussions on getting life insurance/ wills and all that set up. Wish we pulled the trigger earlier. You really never know what can happen.
Congratulations Morgan and Justin. You bring light into the darkness of so many of your fans with your videos. You guys deserve the best! Excited for the live 🎉
For the last story, I'm more confused about the situation surrounding this allowance... As you guys mentioned, he's 4! He has no concept of money and yet he has a bank card?! He apparently had enough to cover multiple meals and gifts at DISNEY?! I think the mother has valid concerns about the child's financial future and the father appears to blowing this off. I think this speaks more to the parents' lack of respect and communication and it will hurt their children if the pettiness continues.
For story 7: When I was 6 my uncle gave me 6 one dollar bills as my gift. I went to elementary class and gave those bills to my friends so they could get erasers and little toys from our classroom store. I was punished by my parents for "throwing away" my gift. But to me I got to buy matching plastic rings to wear with my friends. I never forgot being punished for wasting my money. If this mom punishes her 4 yr old now, he will always carry that pain and guilt from it.
Story 2, this guy is not just compromising the apartment, there is a reading in the hall ! The entire building is at risk at this point. This guy needs to be taken care of and put away.
I loved Dellara.. she seems like such a beautiful person and her energy was so calming. I was a ball of anxiety before listening to this and you two just brought me a little bit of calm 🤍
I have a 7 year old and another that will be 7 in march and they have completely opposite views on money/ candy/ etc. My older one will keep it, collect it, spend it. The other wants to share everything with everyone and always has. At 4, she was definitely trying to buy stuff for anyone and everyone so I get the moms reaction.
two hot takes is literally my favorite podcast of all time, i’ve been a fan for a year or so? even with my adhd i can still sit here and listen to y’all all day lol
I literally listen to so many stories through podcasts like yours, and rarely do they ever make me tear up. And story 5 of this video, when OP said he squeezed her hand twice to see if she's okay just broke me for some reason. Amazing.
Story 1: I can't say I would have acted differently either given other things weren't working to get that kid to stop. To drawn ANY blood I can't emphasize enough how hard this kid had to be biting, repeatedly. And who tf leaves their kid alone at a REST STOP? When my son was 3-4 I brought him in ladies room stalls with me at way less dangerous places than that. I would NEVER leave a child without me unless there was another family member outside the bathroom with them. I doubt the mother could tell the child was hit visually. 99% sure the child told their mother they were hit. They were dazed & then probably ran crying to neglectful mommy in the bathroom. Curious if she left him alone in public after that.
Can y'all do an episode just talking about what you've learned about podcasting? Any advice you have to share? Insights into the business? How to make money doing it? I would love that and if I'd bet a lot of others would too!
I have to say for the first story, I work with kids and have gotten bit and let me tell you, this kid's teeth felt like it was from a shark bite. Definitely worse than puppy teeth.
After my dad died, my mum had me sign a tonne of paperwork to give me power of attorney and executor of her will etc when my brother found out he was so mad. We talked about it and he admitted he had no idea what any of that meant, and when I explained it to him he was so relieved that it was me, not him or a stranger lol
This is in response to the wage gap thing. I 29F got offered $34/hour and negotiated to get $35, but the company only agreed to that much if I signed a document forfeiting my first years raise. I recommended a friend 27M and they offered him the $35 right out the gate with no document forfeiting anything. I was HEATED
Fuck that recently started a production job not bad but have had a coworker say only reason they gave me this job is cause I’m a man. And I told him we shit what they do with me then I’m genderfuild cause half that stuff is still the rooted misogyny ( btw it was not the job in whole it was a operator position that had to be around high heat levels plant has many different positions with different levels of hardness and best you will have to work in)
I’m on a wills and trusts law journal under one of the top attorneys in the field in the US who teaches bar programs on the topic. I loved the fifth story and conversation about it, especially regarding the familial relationship and community property aspects! This whole episode made my week.
Okay so story number 6 with the money and the safe. Holy crap. His reaction, in my opinion, was indicative of him having more than just money in the safe.. something he didn’t want his wife to see. He could’ve just given her the code to get money out for HIS SONS medication. I’m also getting feelings of financial abuse from the husband.. she doesn’t have any credit cards or money at all? Seems like he won’t *let* her have her own. I’d also like to add that I’m 26 years old. My fiancé is 29. He makes enough money to where I can be a housewife. I don’t “my own money” but I have multiple credit cards in my name to build my credit and have in case of emergencies when he’s not around. If he did this to me and our child, he’d never see us again.
Story 2: Holy sh*t! OP needs to also inform the apartment complex ASAP so they can investigate how many apartments are contaminated. And get the F out of there! Yesterday! I would sue the roomate now because she could have to specially dispose of everything in her current apartment if it retains the toxic substances. That roomate is F'ed! He will be paying people the rest of his life for a collection that could kill him. What is wrong with people!?!
Like, even uranium glass, not talking about the Fiesta ware (I collect teh regualr green depression glass) doesn't give off enough giegers to harm. The fact that he's doing that and justifying it. I would never keep radium in my house. Radium paint clocks arent too harmful unless he's keeping that many with a large amount of radium paint in the damn house.
OP needs to make sure that her stuff isn't contaminated with radon too!! You are probably somehow liable if you knowingly bring radon contaminated objects somewhere else
If what she did was technically a sublet/lease but without proper paperwork they could hold her liable too. She should definitely pay for & speak to an attorney that can go over all the details.
Story 1: a human bite CAN be very serious. So I think OP would be in the clear. I remember being in elementary school & a teacher had to stay home for a week after a kid bit her. It got horribly infected because the teacher thought it was just a harmless bite 😅
My grandmother gets UTI delirium. Doesn’t know the city (which she’s lived in the 80 years years she’s been alive), her birthday, that her husband is dead, etc. it’s a terrifying and for her an almost stroke like experience (ie slurring words, half facial paralysis, etc). If you have an older person in your life that can’t care for themself please ensure they are being taken care of appropriately
This happened to my grandmother more than once, she was in a terrible care facility. I went to visit her she didn't even know who I was and thought I was a nurse despite the fact I saw her weekly. It was awful. We had her transferred to another facility where she was well cared for and never had another incident.
As someone who used to get bit by kids at work, the safe way to get a child to release a bite is by plugging their nose. However in the moment, this can be difficult to remember and shoving them off can also do the trick LOL
For story 6, I feel like a loving parent would do anything to get their child the medication they need, the fact he didn’t even try to genuinely help the mother and child is a HUGE red flag, let alone the secrecy and financial abuse.
1:30:01 Prior to learning about swinger culture, I always thought that pineapples were a symbol for homecoming or sign of welcome. Historically, when US sailors returned home from a long sea voyage, they might come home with a pineapple as a gift for their family. Then, they would put the pineapple outside the house so other people would know the husband had returned and they could also come over to welcome him back. I live on the US east coast and you see pineapples incorporated into decorations all the time, like doormats, doorbells, door knockers, etc. This bit of history is something my mom told me, so I’m not 100% sure on the historical accuracy, but I’m pretty sure there is some truth to it. HOWEVER, it make sense that a pineapple, a sign of welcome, would be used by swingers, a group of people who want to welcome someone into their relationship. Though, while the pineapple is the chosen sign of a swinger, not every pineapple belongs to a swinger! Some people might just like pineapples.
I have a pineapple tattoo and everyone and their uncle needs to tell me it's a swingers thing....the vast majority of pineapple shit is either bc it's a welcoming thing or because people just like pineapples 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
@@victoriakelley664 so do you like pineapple like aesthetically or tastewise? I assume you didn't tattoo it in your body to be welcoming? I'm not trying to be rude or anything, just being curious, tattooing foods I like doesn't really make sense to me because there is nothing I like so much that I can be sure I will like it rest of my life enough to justify tattooing it to my body. There is other things I can but not foods yes. But I have some things I have liked a lot and then eaten them just before I got sick and after that I haven't been able to touch those things, so something you eat or drink is off limits for me as a tattoo
@@josspa6558 I like them aesthetically, though primarily I got the tattoo as an inside joke from one of my favorite shows lol. In Psych, there is a pineapple hidden in every episode and it delighted me so much finding them that I decided to hide one on me! 😆
One of my favorite pre-4chan internet stories is of a guy who gets bit by a renegade child at the store, hard enough to draw blood. OP and his buddy start yelling, which summons the angry mother. OP tells the mother "Ma'am, take your child to a hospital right away! I'm HIV positive!", then leaves the store while the mother sobs. OP then reveals he isn't positive. Probably a fake story, but still funny.
Yall are literally my favorite people and being that I'm so cripplingly shy and have almost no friends, you guys keep me company throughout my days. Thank you so much for all that yall do on this podcast!!!!!!
for story one….. that kid was raised in a barn and nobody knows what they could’ve had as far as illness or disease 😭😭😭 why would they ever do that omfg
Idk who this is, but I absolutely love her. You two were so sweet to one another & I love her voice! Both y’all have such soothing voices & the vibes was immaculate. Love it!
I wasn't too sure about these longer episodes at first, but I was just listening as I was doing my homework and finished at the exact time the episode ended so good job lol
in catholicism PRIESTS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO REVEAL WHAT IS SAID IN THE CONFESSIONAL. Even in cases of murder or illegal activity. He could/should get in huge trouble with the church.
For the first one human jaws are strong enough to take off fingers so I don’t doubt that hurt like hell. Considering the kid had blood in his mouth when running back to his mom, she probably believed he was hit hard enough to start bleeding from the mouth.
Talking about emotional cheating was TRIGGERING lol, I’ve been cheated on in every single relationship I’ve been in and the one case of emotional cheating still keeps me up at night. There are words that I used to use like “adore” that he said to her that I get physically sick when I read, hear, or even think those words. He also physically cheated on me with no feelings involved and never understood why the emotional hurt so much more even though it was never physical. Pls don’t ever do that to anyone
I’m fighting with my job right now about discussing pay. I’m open with what I make and people are ready to leave over the fact that they aren’t making as much as others and I’m proud of all of them.
For the last story... Yes small kids can be giving and know the value of money. My son realized at an early age there were kids who didn't have all the things he did. His passion for others became a nonprofit for others. It was his passion not ours. He was 4.5 at the time, he just turned 10 and is the most selfless kid I have ever met.
okay so in regards to the biting story: i work with kids with various aggressive behaviors (including biting) and trust me, no matter how little they are, that shit HURTS. especially if they're pulling away from you while biting, hooooo boy. i've seen (and had) some rough bruises and scars from bites. and believe it or not, there's a safe way to release their jaw and get out of the bite. but you should be properly trained/certified to do it (ESPECIALLY when kids are involved), so i'm not gonna give the deets lol. but yeah, i'm not necessarily pro-hit-the-kid, but bites hurt like a mf'er and i understand why neither of them knew what to do and panicked. lesson learned for next time i guess? 😅 edit: i forgot to even mention infections! the human mouth is disgusting, and toddlers have bad immune systems and put their mouths on so many things 🤢 just a bad situation all around lol
Someone got fired from my previous company because we discussed our hourly pay rates and he went to ask for a raise since I made more… and they fired him. LITERALLY over the weekend. Wouldn’t even let him back in the building to get his stuff. They asked around to see if someone knew where he lived and mailed it to him. It was WILD.
Yes people who dont have kids don't understand they can have all the baby teeth in by 1 and even just a few teeth are painful Tiny needles baby bites hurt more then people give credit for
I love this guest. I love her take on how access to lawyers should be better. Although, there is not as much help or services as she had made it seem. It's almost impossible to get legal help, and most of the free services will refuse to give legal advice to protect themselves. When I had to use them to fight my old landlord, the only advice they would give me is telling me I had a good amount of evidence and that I should be okay to proceed. They wouldn't help gather evidence, give legal advice or anything like that, as it is a liability they're not willing to take on unless there is payment involved.
Morgan, thank you so so much for putting some light on the DACA issue and most importantly bringing in someone who’s dealt with it firsthand. My sister has been on DACA for years and my application is still pending since it was put on pause and it’s been a year since they confirmed it was received. I was brought here at 3 and have tried making the best out of the circumstances but it’s still really hard. So thank you for making clear your support! Definitely my favorite podcast ❤
A bite is a SERIOUS risk of injury. For one, even as a child, our bite force is way more than we expect, but more importantly: human mouths are filthy. If there’s skin breaking, it’s a huge risk for infections. They did the right thing going straight to an hospital.
Report the roommate to the health department, police, and landlord as you may need to leave everything behind as it could be holding onto the radiation. I hope for the best for you.
My Mum's a reception teacher (kindergarten, 4-5 year olds), and she's come home multiple times with pretty bad bites from some of those kids. Drawing blood, massive bruises etc. They're at an age where they haven't quite grasped why they shouldn't bite but they're strong enough to do some damage lmao
Omg. My kids are 4 and 5 but they have never bitten me - maybe each other, a few times. They never go physical in tantrums. I hope the kindie kids are ok.
@@thiacari to be fair it is mostly just one particular child lmao, he's very difficult to handle and obviously needs a lot of help that the school just isn't equipped to give him
Listening to story 6 all I could hear were the red flags of financial abuse, I really hope that OP gets out but that the story is deleted makes me worry. On the side note of the pineapple tangent of that story makes me extremely curious (but also wary enough I don't want to look into it) about the show Psych and what might have been behind the scenes. I didn't catch it on the first watch but there is a pineapple in every episode.
Good morning everyone! I have a small idea for a podcast episode, “instant reactions”. Just by reading the title alone, no other context, then you give your hot take. Sometimes these stories take a wild turn half way through and your response changes. Just an idea lol I hope everyone has a good day or night!👋😊
Not a lawyer but a med student: we literally had a question on an exam about an elderly patient who’s son hadn’t spoken to her in about 15 years suddenly showing up and claiming his mom would want to be resuscitated, meanwhile moms closest friend was saying she actually didn’t want to be (wanted DNR order). In cases where no legal doc was made designating who would make these decisions, if it gets messy it has to be taken all the way up to the ethics board of the hospital & THEY decide, depending on which person knew the patient better/ trying to keep the PATIENTS wishes in mind. In that case there’s no way in hell they’d side with his “mom” / sister who hasn’t ever been present in his life + would financially benefit from his death (as long as the fiancé had proof of her mentioning this).
Absolutely - they can only disclose if someone is in danger, as far as I always understood. Ugh.
I worked at a daycare and kids biting was a major incident report. The infection rate is crazy
I was thinking the same. Untreated human bites can cause serious infections, even life threatening ones (depending on the size of the bite)
Yes for sure, u can lost a limp when it's infected or even end it all, human bite is one of the more dangerous One..
Yeah a woman told a story about how she got bit by a child and had to be put on some serious antibiotics for a while!
And it’s your normal defensive reaction to push or smack something off that’s biting you.
I once had a kid bite me with blood drawn and I screamed to the parent that I was HIV positive and that they needed to get to the doc asap to get HIV blockers and get him checked in 3 months.
That kid will never bite anyone ever again.
Lol
@mrdavman13 Or they read the original story and used the same excuse when they got bit themselves? Anything is possible...
@@shadowdragon1248exactly wtf
Story 1: when mentioning the child neglect. if the mom is in the restroom, can she not hear a women scream right outside to be concern of her children to come out? Even OP noticed and came to find out that his partner was bitten by a child.
Literally that scream could’ve been in response to a ROBBERY and your child is just OUT THERE. ROAMING.
I just looked it up and there is a SERIOUS risk of fast spreading infection when bitten by a human, so I think the slap was well warranted.
Human bites can be much worse than animal bites due to the high amounts of bacteria in the human mouth. Human bites are dangerous as all hell.
Especially a kid. Kids are known to not be the cleanest!
Story 2: As a nuclear engineer, if this guy knew how toxic it is to have radioactive material is for humans and still kept it, Jail!
what a cool sounding job👍
Also, it's really difficult to GIVE YOUR ROOMMATE FCKING CANCER.
Criminal negligence. When it costs to be stupid
Also, no if. He owned a device to regularly check levels. 🙃 collector knew as he was literally monitoring the radiation, just ignorantly.
New fear unlocked: Radiation sickness induced from irresponsible neighbors collecting radioactive antiquities.
This video is just new fear after new fear. Fear of feral children biting me randomly, fear of slowly getting radiation poisoning in my own home, fear of being sued just because somebody stole my lunch.
Her voice sounds sooooooo much like Alejandra it’s crazy! So calming lol
I thought the exact same thing!!
They sound like sisters! I was looking to see if others had the same thought
Same thoughts
I legitimately thought this was Alejandra at first because I was just listening while cleaning lol

The financially abused Wife really scares me! I hope she REALLY knows just how serious this is.
me too i feel so afraid for her
I hope her husband didn't find out and make it worse for her...she deleted her acct ffs
@@vianeyboruel504 this is also what worried me. I’m scared that he discovered her device unlocked and saw the post. If he did, he might isolate her even more. I’m so worried for this lady and her kid.
How do you abuse someone financially do you slap them with bills and throw coins at them??
To quote my favorite therapists "Staying means nothing without the option to leave."
Very well put. From one teacher to another. ❤ it’s just not fair/just/or right.
We have a mom.who gives her kid fake cash to "pay" for the items that he counts out while she runs her card.
That hr story has me fucked up. How tf is it not clear that the coworker stole it?? They don't know who's lunch it is but it's obviously ops?? I can't. I'm in tears help 😭😭
Yeah I would have told those people if he didn’t steal my food then why am I in here.
I wonder if the coworker and the person in HR are sleeping together or if the coworker has serious connections up the ladder.
This got me so mad!! If It’s not clear he stole it, how is it clear it is OP’s fault? If it was his own food, why would he be trying to blame it on her? Doesn’t add up
The AUDACITY of this coworker, i can’t.
HR isn't there to protect you--it's there to protect the company. They protect the company by making it your fault. I haven't heard the story yet *BUT* is it's that one that got popular where OP put something in it the boss's daughter was allergic to: that's attempted murder.
I honestly would have filed a police report about the stolen lunch
Glad you got away❤

The paint vial was definitely a major major major hazard as it's basically pure radium.
wow that is such a sad and crazy fact!
Yes the Radium Girls story is insane!!
Isn't this what happened to Disney painters, too? Like, they lost teeth and hair because there was radium in the paint?
@@OGimouse1haven't heard of that before but radium girls were losting bone density and jaws at the worst

I was thinking the same thing!!!
Came to comment this too lol !
I WAS GONNA SAY THIS
By far my favorite episode!!
Atleast the priest should be excommunicated from the church and loose his job and "license to be priest" (I have no idea what it is really called )
@@aphroditeheart that’s what I thought, but I couldn’t remember it since it’s been so long since I was taught the rules. At the very least, she should report him
the legality of breaking confession depends on the country but according to the church a priest is automatically excommunicated if he breaks the seal of confession.
in my - catholic majority - country, the priest that breaks confidentiality can get a fine or even get locked up for 3-12 months, depending on the case
also, “funnily” enough, although clergy are mandated reporters (in your country/state) canon law doesn’t allow priests to reveal matters that are confided in them during confession. ever
This seems to be about the RC church.
You would not have attended a Catholic seminary as still the priesthood is not available to women
honestly, this could have been a teaching moment. The parents could of used this moment to teach their kid about natural consequences: if u bite someone you will get punched.
Fuck around, find out lmaoo
Yessssss OMG. I don’t think I would have even left. My mouth to smart. I would need to cuss him out and his mama. I would have the taken that charge.

Punish how? She was planning to get the toy for him.

My boyfriend is a lawer as well and it makes me laugh so much how they go to sentence is "it depends".
I WANT ANSWERS ahahha not a "it depends"
I hope the case of the guy stealing the lunch at work and then tryna sue ends up on judge Judy.

I cant believe I dont see more comments about this! Holy shit thats a HUGE deal. It can contaminate EVERYTHING
Yes UTA delirium is a very very scary thing. If your loved ones cognition changes always take them in ASAP!
Wow, this comment was eye opening and explains something I've worried about with my own mom!
The end of the story with the coma has me sobbing omggg
Isn't it upside down pineapple for swingers?
I literally wrote my will yesterday because of a different episode of y’all’s 😂 I just gotta sign it with witnesses now
One of my favorite pre-4chan internet stories is of a guy who gets bit by a renegade child at the store, hard enough to draw blood.
Considering the kid had blood in his mouth when running back to his mom, she probably believed he was hit hard enough to start bleeding from the mouth.
i have NEVER met anyone else that also looks up the endings of movies/shows while watching them
morgan ur my favorite
#2 story: get a lawyer ASAP
the lease is the least of ur worries, your health is
Talking about emotional cheating was TRIGGERING lol, I’ve been cheated on in every single relationship I’ve been in and the one case of emotional cheating still keeps me up at night. There are words that I used to use like “adore” that he said to her that I get physically sick when I read, hear, or even think those words. He also physically cheated on me with no feelings involved and never understood why the emotional hurt so much more even though it was never physical. Pls don’t ever do that to anyone
I’m in love with legalbaddie, she’s such a vibe, y’all better become besties 😂
I’m fighting with my job right now about discussing pay. I’m open with what I make and people are ready to leave over the fact that they aren’t making as much as others and I’m proud of all of them.
PLEASE start a 2nd channel for the house renovation!!! I love watching people upgrade homes
edit: i forgot to even mention infections! the human mouth is disgusting, and toddlers have bad immune systems and put their mouths on so many things 🤢 just a bad situation all around lol
I heard if a toddler attacks you that you should shove your thumb into its eye or grab it's gills... wait.. that's sharks. NVM.
This episode was 2 hours long and yet, I felt like it was too short. Please, give us a part 2!!!
This is by far one of my favorite episodes!!!
"How many teeth could a 3 yr old have?"
Hahahaha my 1 yr old nephew has a full mouth of teeth.
Yes people who dont have kids don't understand they can have all the baby teeth in by 1 and even just a few teeth are painful Tiny needles baby bites hurt more then people give credit for
@@user-lr7dk7mt2w too true. One good chomp and that's all it needs sometimes
Well my 2 yr old nephew bites really hard and its painful .. it gives me bruise.
DACA 💕thank you for talking about it 🙏🏼
And loving all the episodes since recently finding this channel
I love this guest. I love her take on how access to lawyers should be better. Although, there is not as much help or services as she had made it seem.
It's almost impossible to get legal help, and most of the free services will refuse to give legal advice to protect themselves. When I had to use them to fight my old landlord, the only advice they would give me is telling me I had a good amount of evidence and that I should be okay to proceed.
They wouldn't help gather evidence, give legal advice or anything like that, as it is a liability they're not willing to take on unless there is payment involved.
Morgan and Justin are literally so cute!! love you guys 🤍
Yay, so happy a new episode is uploaded!!❤❤
@@thiacari to be fair it is mostly just one particular child lmao, he's very difficult to handle and obviously needs a lot of help that the school just isn't equipped to give him
This was one of your coolest, wisest guests 🥰
Listening to story 6 all I could hear were the red flags of financial abuse, I really hope that OP gets out but that the story is deleted makes me worry.
On the side note of the pineapple tangent of that story makes me extremely curious (but also wary enough I don't want to look into it) about the show Psych and what might have been behind the scenes. I didn't catch it on the first watch but there is a pineapple in every episode.
Congratulations on the house, Morgan! I can't wait to hear more!
Good morning everyone! I have a small idea for a podcast episode, “instant reactions”. Just by reading the title alone, no other context, then you give your hot take. Sometimes these stories take a wild turn half way through and your response changes. Just an idea lol I hope everyone has a good day or night!👋😊
I’m so glad he woke up! Brought me to tears 🥹
My mom (who got in a bad car accident at 19) came out of a coma after a month as well! She’s now in her 60s :)
