Ah yes, Taion, my favorite Ouroborous and Eunie's fourth-best friend. Seriously though, this essay helped me realize one of the subconscious reasons I love him so much: I relate _heavily_ to the fear of making an active decision and it turning out to be the wrong one. Comes prepackaged with a lifetime of being autistic, much like Taion is. /lh
Funny for me (autistic as well ♾️) the only real autistic character in the franchise was (outside my avatar in X) was Shulk.

Not autistic (never been diagnosed or we) but honestly I also have that fear of making a decision and then fretting if I made the right choice. Really out of all the characters he felt like the most relatable one to me.
Edit: I did think his side story was too much of a cop-out really with the consul being a scooby doo ass villain. Although I do feel like a lot of the non main story consuls are like that.

Taion is my favourite xenoblade character. I just vibe with him so much.
Imagine how wild of a plotline it would've been to have the reborn former commander of Iota end up back in Iota as a new recruit. I would pay to see that.
Always look forward to these character analysis, some of the best essays I've seen on TH-cam, especially within Xenoblade 3 specifically. There's a lot to her, but really want to see Mio ❤

Yeah I agree they could've made the consul at least somewhat competent. He can still be an arrogant fool without being absolutely dumb. Also Consul V has been a Moebius for well over 1000 years since we've seen him be the one responsible with dealing out the old version of Homecomings before M changed it up. You'd think he'd have some wit to have stayed around that long without a Lost Number getting him with a car bomb.
Taion is my least favorite of the team but that is only because everyone is so well written that he is just automatically placed there
