As for Yamato, we know from the story that Yamato this entire time had been sealed from within the Prime Barrier, leaving Musashi to perform her day to day duties. Musashi however entered the Prime Barrier and used her everything to breach it. Yamato now has a way to enter and exit. Now this breach leaves the entirety of the Sakura Empire to corrosion. Therefore it will require an amazing amount of effort and coordination to save it, or else it will collapse forever. There is no later. If Yamato does not step forth from within the Prime Barrier to help, there will be no future left for the Empire. Now is the time. Now is the only time left. Also, fuck the Chinese nationalists for ceremonially killing of Kayano Ai. Without JP's support, there would be no Azur Lane. They're still angry about her visiting a WW2 war memorial while playing a WW2 war game, smh. If the Japanese war crimes were so offensive to them, they would delete their entire Sakura Empire fleets -- but they won't. Instead, they'll just attack her and her characters.

Well, the 79th anniversary of Ten-Go was this year. Not to mention this year is the 80th anniversary of the Battle off Samar, which was were Yamato had her first true action. And it would also be perfect to get Yamato as it is the 50th anniversary of Space Battleship Yamato this year too.

So my top three picks for the UR are as follows. One: Yamato (Come on, it's obvious at this point). Two: I-401 (I-400 class submarine). Three: Amagi (Unryu class aircraft carrier).
Another one they could do is Ibuki II. Believe it or not, Ibuki was actually partially constructed. They did have plans to convert her into a CVL, but it was late in the war when they tried to do so. By the time they were in a position to carry it out, the war ended because of Japan's surrender, and Ibuki had to be scrapped. Now that I think about it, she might likely be an SR instead.
Admittedly, I haven't been as "in the know" as I used to be. Aren't we still missing Tone? I got back into the game recently and noticed her chibi in a battle at some point, but I don't think she's an actual ship for us to collect just yet...NOT that I expect her to be a UR. I'd love to see Yamato (I would also like a chance to get Musashi since I missed that event.) I also wouldn't mind seeing Iowa and/or Missouri, though it makes MUCH more sense to have a Sakura ship for this event...Unless they have Missouri because that's were the surrender documents were officially signed, ending WW2...
Yes, Tone shows up as an opponent in some campaign levels but is not a playable ship. As a 1943 fan, I do kinda hanker after Tone. May you fight bravely!

For one thing is that. If Yamato released. Nagato get insane powercrept. Because, Yamato would replace Nagato as a Sakura Empire Flagship. Her ability would covers all Sakura Empire on both within her fleet and outside of her fleet. And this also means you can place Nagato in the second fleet now for Sakura Empire Boost on another fleet. Now the real question is that. What her ability will be? I mean she can be a second ship with the same FP stats as Musashi. Would broke the Meta but anyways. She would absolutely weaker against aircraft due to her historically being sunk faster than Musashi. But her AA also better but eh… But one thing for sure she will be the head of Sakura Empire. Because historically Flag Ship switch from Nagato to Yamato.

For Yahagi, i imagine a character a bit like Doctor Strange in Avengers Infinity War and End Game - a character that knows way more than they let anybody (but Yamato) know and are best described as "There is no time for explanations. Trust me, trust the Process and trust Yamato. Everything is proceeding according to Plan." In the second half of the Story then, Yamato would have her big entrance at a crucial moment, similar to Bismarck's Return in Rondo at Rainbow's End, but differentiated by the fact that we would actually get to see (and later aquire) her and that she would actually already do things herself instead of just commanding over the radio - in a moment that leads to feelings like "WTF, it's actually happening, Yamato is taking control of the situation." Also it would very much surrise me if Yamato's stand (or at least what she plans) wouldn't be at Okinawa - the reference to Operation Ten-Go basically writes itself.

The actual IJN Yamato was offically launched on August 8, 1940, on the notion that the number 8 in Japanese tradition and mythology is a lucky number (8/8) Hence, pretty sure the UR for this year won't be Yamato as her release will be next year, which will be the 8th Anniversary.
I have another counter: Number 7 is a lucky number aswell and it's even luckier than 8. Besides, do you really think Manjuu cares about such anniversaries as sinking anniversaries? If they would, we wouldn't have neither Shinano nor Musashi here

Yamato makes the most sense, Amagi Ni MIGHT make sense, but itd seem abit forced, as she's the antagonist atm. I picture Yamato being featured, and once rhe event is done, Amagi will be on the mend, and be featured in a later event, adding her to the list with Lexington II. The way the story has been building up, Yamato makes more sense to me, saving Amagi Ni for next year.

I’m going to go a different route and make a crazy outrageous prediction that I’m not 100% onboard with myself. Maybe, what we could actually be getting is one of Yamato’s “half-sisters”, a Design A-150 Super Yamato like Shikishima or Satsuma (or maybe a differently named “intermediate ship” like Warship Number 178 or 179, in the event that they can’t use the name of Shikishima or Satsuma because of WoW, similar to what happened with Unzen/Zao). Check out memory 10 of this current event (Whence Flowers Bear No Fruit) and look at the zoomed out image of Musashi with the giant purple samurai in full view behind her. Notice anything different? The giant samurai is packing twin turrets on each shoulder! Not the triple of the Yamato-class. Plus, considering the fact that the barrels have been redesigned to look sharper and more futuristic, this looks to be intentional rather than a design error or oversight. Furthermore, the distance between the barrels is too great for it to be Nagato META or any of the older IJN twin turret ships. This means it would not be Musashi’s samurai, nor Yamato’s, as she also carried triple turrets like Musashi. Also note the fact that unlike Musashi’s samurai, this samurai has no secondary cruiser armament, similar to the real life original unmodified “Super Yamato” Design A-150, even though WoW gave both their incarnation of Shikishima and Satsuma secondary cruiser guns like the Yamatos (this would make perfect sense if they can’t base the design on the WoW ships, then they would instead base it on the real A-150s). This all leads me to believe that one of the A-150 ship is Musashi’s savior, and whoever it is may have been sent either on Yamato’s behalf or maybe even by the Commander in a future timeline (hence why the turrets look futuristic). Now, I know that Musashi is the one attacking in this chapter, but keep in mind that she is weakened to the point of collapsing. She could very well have been helped by the very similar looking samurai from one of her half-sisters, and in her state, not noticed that it wasn’t her own. Or maybe, without Musashi’s knowledge, they loaned her their strength (since she was so weakened) causing her to unknowingly manifested their samurai instead of her own. For other possibilities, I agree with Amagi-Ni, since we know that she IS alive in the port timeline (and she gave Shinano advice through her vision of said timeline in Dreamwaker’s Butterfly). Whether Amagi was saved or resurrected, this means that there IS some way to save her. I also think the first IJN UR CL may be a possibility. Maybe Kitakami or Ōyodo. Working against the possibility of it being Yamato, or any other battleship for that matter, is the fact that it would be really uncharacteristic that we would be getting two powerful ships of the same type, in this case battleships, simultaneously (counting Nagato META in showdown). I don’t count Queen Elizabeth META and Bismarck Zwei because, one, QEM was already running LOOONG before Bisky-Zwei came on the scene, and two, QEM is an SSR META version of an elite ship, whereas Nagato META will be the META version of an SSR ship (who knows, she may even be our first ever UR META🤷♂️). There’s also the fact that Manjuu is notorious for their habit of bait-and-switching their name-dropped ships. Tone? Don’t have her. Iowa? Not in the game. Soyuz? It took like four or five years before we finally got her. Alaska? After all of ‘22 and ‘23, we finally got…her sister Guam.
Amagi is a problem, because she died in her story. To address this, Manjuu has to bring her back, and one of the hopes is for her to be reborn as Amagi CV, whether it's from the Unryuu-class or her conversion version like Akagi. If Yamato is released, it won't solve the problem, but will add more. Come on, guys, I'm already tired of consecutive UR BBs. If Yamato is released, it would be the third one. In the Zuihou story event, Manjuu was just teasing by mentioning her name. Manjuu can save Yamato for the future, and it would fit into the plot as the successor leader of the Sakura Empire after Akagi.

Yamato was sunk faster because the US learned the best way to do it from Musashi, it was not because Yamato had weaker AA.

It's got to be Yamato, no questions asked. But if it's not her, then I'd go with either Unryu or Amagi (Unryu class) for the UR.
Either one of those three, or they just make Kitakami in her torpedo cruiser form be the UR.

Yamato makes the most sense, Amagi Ni MIGHT make sense, but itd seem abit forced, as she's the antagonist atm. I picture Yamato being featured, and once rhe event is done, Amagi will be on the mend, and be featured in a later event, adding her to the list with Lexington II.
The way the story has been building up, Yamato makes more sense to me, saving Amagi Ni for next year.
How can you say Amagi Ni is forced when she has been worked up by the story for over a year?
@@lordkfc1297 She's currently the antagpnist, to get her tp the point where she wluld be a protagonist, as all event ships have been, itd be VERY forced, so I perspnally dpubt we get her so quickly.

Also, might I remind you that it took Manjuu 3 years to bring us Soyuz while having her appear in like half of the events?
I’m going to go a different route and make a crazy outrageous prediction that I’m not 100% onboard with myself. Maybe, what we could actually be getting is one of Yamato’s “half-sisters”, a Design A-150 Super Yamato like Shikishima or Satsuma (or maybe a differently named “intermediate ship” like Warship Number 178 or 179, in the event that they can’t use the name of Shikishima or Satsuma because of WoW, similar to what happened with Unzen/Zao).
Check out memory 10 of this current event (Whence Flowers Bear No Fruit) and look at the zoomed out image of Musashi with the giant purple samurai in full view behind her.
Notice anything different? The giant samurai is packing twin turrets on each shoulder! Not the triple of the Yamato-class. Plus, considering the fact that the barrels have been redesigned to look sharper and more futuristic, this looks to be intentional rather than a design error or oversight. Furthermore, the distance between the barrels is too great for it to be Nagato META or any of the older IJN twin turret ships.
This means it would not be Musashi’s samurai, nor Yamato’s, as she also carried triple turrets like Musashi. Also note the fact that unlike Musashi’s samurai, this samurai has no secondary cruiser armament, similar to the real life original unmodified “Super Yamato” Design A-150, even though WoW gave both their incarnation of Shikishima and Satsuma secondary cruiser guns like the Yamatos (this would make perfect sense if they can’t base the design on the WoW ships, then they would instead base it on the real A-150s).
This all leads me to believe that one of the A-150 ship is Musashi’s savior, and whoever it is may have been sent either on Yamato’s behalf or maybe even by the Commander in a future timeline (hence why the turrets look futuristic).
Now, I know that Musashi is the one attacking in this chapter, but keep in mind that she is weakened to the point of collapsing. She could very well have been helped by the very similar looking samurai from one of her half-sisters, and in her state, not noticed that it wasn’t her own. Or maybe, without Musashi’s knowledge, they loaned her their strength (since she was so weakened) causing her to unknowingly manifested their samurai instead of her own.
For other possibilities, I agree with Amagi-Ni, since we know that she IS alive in the port timeline (and she gave Shinano advice through her vision of said timeline in Dreamwaker’s Butterfly). Whether Amagi was saved or resurrected, this means that there IS some way to save her. I also think the first IJN UR CL may be a possibility. Maybe Kitakami or Ōyodo.
Working against the possibility of it being Yamato, or any other battleship for that matter, is the fact that it would be really uncharacteristic that we would be getting two powerful ships of the same type, in this case battleships, simultaneously (counting Nagato META in showdown).
I don’t count Queen Elizabeth META and Bismarck Zwei because, one, QEM was already running LOOONG before Bisky-Zwei came on the scene, and two, QEM is an SSR META version of an elite ship, whereas Nagato META will be the META version of an SSR ship (who knows, she may even be our first ever UR META🤷♂️).
There’s also the fact that Manjuu is notorious for their habit of bait-and-switching their name-dropped ships. Tone? Don’t have her. Iowa? Not in the game. Soyuz? It took like four or five years before we finally got her. Alaska? After all of ‘22 and ‘23, we finally got…her sister Guam.
Amagi is a problem, because she died in her story. To address this, Manjuu has to bring her back, and one of the hopes is for her to be reborn as Amagi CV, whether it's from the Unryuu-class or her conversion version like Akagi.
If Yamato is released, it won't solve the problem, but will add more. Come on, guys, I'm already tired of consecutive UR BBs. If Yamato is released, it would be the third one. In the Zuihou story event, Manjuu was just teasing by mentioning her name.
Manjuu can save Yamato for the future, and it would fit into the plot as the successor leader of the Sakura Empire after Akagi.
I'll go for Amagi META. META is sooner or later inevitable for any ship, so why not now
