Honestly, I loved Helen smashing the invite box open bc I thought it was a choice that cleverly suited both characters. When the reveal happens it makes sense, but before she's revealed I thought it was just a way of showing that Andi was no longer willing to play Miles' dumb games and refused to solve the puzzles out of principal.
@@melodylaila so he can have an “alibi” that he has no idea Andi was dead, as the news was yet out. Missing Andi’s crate could raise suspicion. And killing Duke is part of his plan too to cover up.
@@shinnguyen1992 his plan? the big reveal is he's an idiot. He killed her within hours of seeing his fax with her email. He didn't premeditate anything and it's not plausible he invited her to a party where every guest just turned on her with an elaborate puzzel box invitation that it probably takes weeks to make as an alibi. The timeline doesn't fit with the trial either.
A little inside joke I noticed when watching the movie with my family last night was in the scene where Blanc tells Helen "I'm not Batman". In the Spanish dub version, he says "I'm not James Bond".
Did anyone else catch this hidden detail? Andi always parted her hair on the left in every scene and picture of her. But when Helen was impersonating her sister, Helen always parted her hair on the right. You know how a friend changes their hair style slightly and you notice that they look slightly different but can't figure out why? Maybe that slight change in appearance was what they were going for?
Most identical twins are mirrors of each other. Maybe this subtle detail was to show that when Helen looked in the mirror she would see Andi if the part was on the other side?
And that's probably because Helen was trying to copy Andi's hair in a mirror and forgot the mirror flips left and right instead of it being her natural hair style.
In the end, the same people who held to his golden tiddies turned against him once they realized he lost his power over them. Once a snake always a snake.

I still prefer Knives Out but Glass Onion was such a fun time! And Janelle Monae better get an Oscar nomination for this movie. She was fabulous in the role.
Angela Lansbury and Stephen Sondheim have previously worked together in the original production of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street where Sondheim composed the music and lyrics and Lansbury originally the role of Mrs. Lovett. It was nice to see this legendary actress and legendary composer make their final on screen appearance before their passing.
For me there was a shot in Miles’s office (after Blanc ruins the murder mystery) of a Newtons cradle with 5 balls in focus then the focus shifts and he is the focus. It then cuts to the group at the glass onion bar then back to the Newtons Cradle and Miles. It showed me we are focusing on them over here when we should be focusing on him.

I keep seeing people complain about why the Mona Lisa had an open switch, but Miles was an idiot so it makes sense that he would implement a “kill switch” that is literally there to protect such a priceless item. So dumb but that’s what makes it work
It’s worth mentioning the character Derol (the random guy on Mile’s island) is played by Noah Segan. Like JGL, he’s starred in Rian Johnson’s various productions and had a small role in a Breaking Bsd episode the Johnson directed
The twin sister plot twist reminds of a Hercule Poirot story however in that story, the killer killed the wrong sister because he didn't know that his intended target had a twin
And how do none of Andi's friends know she had a twin? They know her well enough to know "something's off", but oh yeah, she has a twin is a complete mystery?

Don't know if it's been mentioned already, but during the group's first get-together on the Island, when Miles is explaining what a "Disrupter" is, Birdie Jaye mentioned one of her racially-insensitive actions: a Halloween costume, that she says was meant as a tribute to Beyonce. This faster-than-the-speed-of-light reference is to the public condemnation real life Dancer/Actress Julianne Hough received in 2013 after going to a Halloween party in blackface; as the character "Crazy Eyes" from the tv series "Orange is the New Black." Although Birdie's character is not based on any single individual, her cultural & racial insensitivity appears to be in line with the criticism many Hollywood Celebs have received for years, for adopting black children, and engaging in other "cultural appropriations".
I loved Knives out so much I saw it over a dozen times, I was excited for Glass onion, I admit I felt like it was stale in comparison, the cast was unlikable, but by the time the revelation of 'Andi' was revealed, that's when it got so good.
The real Mona Lisa is painted on a piece of wood where as the one in the movie burns like it is canvas. No one else saw this? Does this mean it is a fake in the movie. I am sure the writer / director would have researched this?
I'm assuming scheduling prevented it. Hugh is never actually in a scene with anyone (Helen isn't in frame with him) so he likely was only available to film alone. Also, I don't get the speculation on Benoit's sexuality. If Hugh's character was a woman who had previously been mentioned being worried about him (as the friends did on the Among Us call), we would have just assumed it was his romantic partner. I don't know why anyone needed it spelled out and I appreciate Johnson's response of "Obviously". Bc it IS obvious.
The “dumb” thing that Edward Morgan’s character said that was never mentioned in the rewind… he was playing “Blackbird” by the Beatles when they arrive to the island, and implied it was written by Paul (or John I need to watch it again lol). Either way, it was written by George. I whispered that to my wife in the theater thinking the script was messed up, but alas, it was totally purposeful.
It was written and composed by Paul. It gets credited to Lennon-McCartney but it's a Paul song exclusively; that's why it's performed as a solo piece. There is a dumb thing that Edward Norton does though. Edward Norton claims the guitar he's playing is the same one used by Paul to write Blackbird, but the guitar he's playing is a right handed guitar. Paul McCartney is left handed.
Why do you watch a video that's called "10 things you missed in Glass Onion" if you haven't seen it yet? Hate to break it to you but there are already essays on this movie
With an entire team of cooped-up well-compensation writers slaving away for months, and later on an entire team of less cooped-up (but more extroverted) set-dressers slaving away for weeks, and then another team of cooped-up editors slaving away on the final cut for months (with CGI at their disposal), it's truly amazing how much you can scatter into the cluttered backdrop of a $100 million production (or whatever it cost).
10 things you missed! 10. Celebrity namedrops Literally anyone with ears could pick it up 9. there's a 2001 sequel... That's a fact, nothing we missed in the movie... 8. Pandemic fads 2020 trends are indeed in this movie, but I doubt anyone older than 3 forgot about that. WHO do you think is watching this movie? 7. knives out in the open THIS must be the stupidest "thing I missed" because of a lack of things to miss. Not using knife in the movie isn't something I missed... 6. past present and future Not only are you wrong about the order, this is just taking things out of context 5. Andi's changed I WATCHED THE MOVIE, oh my god! The plot twist ISN'T SOMETHING I MISSED. Nobody did! They watched the movie. 4. Henri Matisse's "Icarus" Admittedly, some fans missed out the detail, however, you didn't point out how the painting is about where she'll be shot, rather you pointed out something wrong completely... 3. Two late puzzle solvers Again, you're pointing at a reference EVERYBODY SAW, and nobody missed. 2. "Scarface" foreshadowing That... is something people did miss. You got one. 1. The significance of Hugh Grant's cameo That isn't something we miss IN THE MOVIE, it's not information we're provided within the movie... we didn't miss it. What is your list
None of these Easter egg breakdowns mentions that janelle Monet’s part changes sides when she’s playing Andi vs Helen. Subtle , but I caught that in the theatre
There was only one mystery left unresolved... what the hell did Miles Bron's assistant (Ethan Hawk) put in each character's mouth when they got on the ship? And if it is the cure for the C19 , why not sell it to the masses? 🤔Unless😲😲🤐...(Insert conspiracy theory)
I like the idea that since it was something produced by Miles, it probably wasn't a real cure but something like horse dewormer. But they just have total confidence in their own idiocy.
It makes sense when you realise Miles is an idiot who thinks he's a genius. His "cure" probably doesn't even work, and there's a good chance that they all have Covid now.
As Blanc approaches the pool, Miles can be heard playing Red Hot Chili Pepper’s “Under The Bridge.” He can be heard explaining Whiskey “AK (Anthony Kiedis) and Flea get all the credit, but Frusciante really was the heart of the band.” 2 important interpretations: 1. Miles is an idiot, and this is him trying to pass off something commonly known, that he likely would’ve heard on a podcast, as his own insight, while he’s really adding nothing of value. 2. Representative of him getting all the credit while Andy was really the heart / brains behind Alpha.
Also with regards to Matisse's Icarus painting-Bron has it upside down. Either he's trying to make a statement (incorrectly) about Icarus rising, or he's a shithead who doesn't even realize the painting was hung wrong to begin with. My money is on the latter lol
Having just finished watching "Glass Onion", I honestly have to say I liked the first film a lot better. It had better characters and an overall better plot. There wasn't a single person in GO that I actually cared anything about because the backstory was so thin and poorly developed. I admit the way things worked out, it was an interesting take on the standard whodunnit idea, but all things considered, I don't understand any raving reviews for this movie. The humor came in periodically and was only occasionally slightly amusing at best. As far as figuring out the who in this "whodunnit" that did it, it's very easy to determine. I was actually a little surprised that they gave it away so easily.
I thought it was so obvious it was miles then I was like it was so obvious that it’s not gonna be him, the billionaire part also threw me off because he was kinda meant to be smart, I like how it wraps around full circle and acknoledges the title, glass onion seems complicated but is really not at all, I thought the ending felt a but odd and could have been done a but better.
I cant believe you still complaining about how easy It was..... Come on, that was suppossed to be like that The same movie, craig's character said so. "It was so Easy that it was hard to me, it was on plain sight. I was expecting more mistery" AND the reason why, because the killer WAS A STUPID. 😒🙄 THAT WAS INTENTIONAL IN THE MOVIE 🤦🏻♂️
Well I think the point was to make nearly all the characters invited unlikable... they were all shitheads except for the two protagonists. They set up this trope and then turned it on its head.
I might have missed it, so, can someone tell me why the glass screen thingy protecting the Mona Lisa stopped going up and down? The last time it goes up was around 1h 57 min when he burns the napkin. After that. it stops. Even when he plays with his lighter, nothing. No more up and down. Why?
To be fair, all the "disrupters" had help with the box. None did it on their own. Most were solved from either their mum or some random. I knew something was up when she was not part of the group chat to solve the puzzle.
I just watched this and the drink swap part ruins the big reveal if you paid attention enough to notice it yourself. Then 1 minute later the guy lies about swapping the drink confirming even more that you have it figured out for the msot part. Horrible directing/writing decision.
Miles knew Andi was dead as he killed her…but he is never shocked to see her in the boat. Is this a plot hole or did he already know it was Helen or I am missing something ?? Overall an excellent film and the fantastic cast made this a treat to watch.
If you rewatch a scene where Andy comes off the boat to the shore where Miles meet them, you can clearly see how shocked he is, he even has his mouth opened
If you watch the movie, you’ll see Miles is clearly shocked when he sees Andi. Plus, her murder hadn’t been revealed to the public and he’s stupid af. He could just think that he didn’t fully finish the job and she somehow survived
One mystery left unsolved. Who was that stoner guy who keeps popping up just to say “I’m not here”. Does he have any significance or just to add to the confusion. At first I thought it must be him who shot Andi/Helen.
Henri Matisse’s Icarus painting is from 1944, not 1947. It even says it on the screen! But is something this obvious a real mistake, or did you say it on purpose as an in-joke that’s gone right over my head??? 7:35
Plot spoiler *** why didn’t if the murderer they murder Andy. Surely they would know the Andi was dead and wouldn’t need google to tell that they were . Blanc Should surely have know this and would know that Helen impersonating Andi would have her life be under threat
Except she was just drugged and then left in her car with the exhaust running, they didn't hang around to watch her die. If found in time or if she came to, she could easily survive that. No one knew she had an identical twin sister, so naturally the killer would form the conclusion that she had simply survived. Nonetheless, Blanc did say he couldn't ensure she'd be safe.
@@dragon_toad Actually Birdie knew about the twin sister. Makes sense that Andi would've only told 1-2 people in that group about her as they were pretty much just acquaintances and not really friends. Plus the only person who even suspected she was dead was Miles; Duke didn't figure it out until the alert that's when he put two and two together and wanted to blackmail Miles to get on his news show for exposure.
The biggest twist is at the very end, when “Helen” is sitting at the beach posing like the Monalisa Miles explained the mystery of the painting at the beginning of the movie. In the end, the sister that died was Helen, not Andi. Andi and Helen switched places to meet Miles, thus Helen was killed not Andi. Of course, the detective figured it out, that’s why he encouraged Andi to destroy the place.
@@miztergray369 I never insulted you. Telling you that you are pulling something out of your ass just means you are making it up. That's not an insult. That's disagreement. You are making an insane leap and speculating a major plot point from something as irrelevant as her posture in the final scene. It's absurd. It also makes no sense. Why would the sisters swap to meet miles? It serves them absolutely no purpose at all. Also the detective encouraging her to destroy the place is to get revenge/justice for her dead sister. It doesn't need to be Andi for that to still make sense. It makes perfect sense that Helen would want to blow the place up as well.

Another reference for #8, Benoit asks the assistant if what they ingested was a disinfectant before they get on the boat.
I feel like the apartment #891 with the painting in the background is foreshadowing something.
Anyone else get the “…with a box” double entendre? There’s someone with a box at the door whether she had the puzzle or not
The real Mona Lisa is painted on a piece of wood where as the one in the movie burns like it is canvas. No one else saw this? Does this mean it is a fake in the movie. I am sure the writer / director would have researched this?
I noticed that too and was wondering the same thing.
Daniel Craig and Hugh Grant should've had a scene together
Who was Hugh Grant supposed to be anyway? Lol was he his friend, boyfriend or like a useless Watson to Blanc?
@@coolbreeze5683 probably husband
@@coolbreeze5683 his domestic partner
maybe Blanc wears a wedding ring and I've never noticed
It is written by John and Paul. Paul sings the song in his concerts and tells the story behind why they wrote it.
Edward Morgan, great actor.
We should take a moment and inbreathiate
Its barely out 24 hours and already throwing up a spoiler video, good work.
cry
Why do you watch a video that's called "10 things you missed in Glass Onion" if you haven't seen it yet? Hate to break it to you but there are already essays on this movie
With an entire team of cooped-up well-compensation writers slaving away for months, and later on an entire team of less cooped-up (but more extroverted) set-dressers slaving away for weeks, and then another team of cooped-up editors slaving away on the final cut for months (with CGI at their disposal), it's truly amazing how much you can scatter into the cluttered backdrop of a $100 million production (or whatever it cost).
10 things you missed!
10. Celebrity namedrops
Literally anyone with ears could pick it up
9. there's a 2001 sequel...
That's a fact, nothing we missed in the movie...
8. Pandemic fads
2020 trends are indeed in this movie, but I doubt anyone older than 3 forgot about that. WHO do you think is watching this movie?
7. knives out in the open
THIS must be the stupidest "thing I missed" because of a lack of things to miss. Not using knife in the movie isn't something I missed...
6. past present and future
Not only are you wrong about the order, this is just taking things out of context
5. Andi's changed
I WATCHED THE MOVIE, oh my god! The plot twist ISN'T SOMETHING I MISSED. Nobody did! They watched the movie.
4. Henri Matisse's "Icarus"
Admittedly, some fans missed out the detail, however, you didn't point out how the painting is about where she'll be shot, rather you pointed out something wrong completely...
3. Two late puzzle solvers
Again, you're pointing at a reference EVERYBODY SAW, and nobody missed.
2. "Scarface" foreshadowing
That... is something people did miss. You got one.
1. The significance of Hugh Grant's cameo
That isn't something we miss IN THE MOVIE, it's not information we're provided within the movie... we didn't miss it.
What is your list
Can't wait till the 8th "Knives Out" releases and the director subverts everyone's expectation.
The soundtrack is amazing
the actual Beatles song the film was named after played during the credits.
That is what I wanted out of the film and I got it. It was great
Look for the Maltese Falcon made of glass among the glass sculptures (watch Whiskey)
Janelle Monae kept her Black/White motif
None of these Easter egg breakdowns mentions that janelle Monet’s part changes sides when she’s playing Andi vs Helen. Subtle , but I caught that in the theatre
There was only one mystery left unresolved... what the hell did Miles Bron's assistant (Ethan Hawk) put in each character's mouth when they got on the ship? And if it is the cure for the C19 , why not sell it to the masses? 🤔Unless😲😲🤐...(Insert conspiracy theory)
I also don’t understand what made the Mona Lisa’s protective glass cover open and close
@@LegoReader12345hello Any loud noise or vibration made it close: the override switch the rich guy secretly put in opened it.
They should have had a post credit scene where all of them suffer from a Covid infection. 😁
The first Knives Out had the better cast but Glass Onion had the better plot.
Better plot but the drink swap scene ruined it for me. Most people likely noticed the swap and had a similar result. Pretty lame.
Miles' malapropisms were the first thing I noticed
Rian Johnson never wanted knives out in the title
I just watched and liked it but they killed the Mona Lisa.
As Blanc approaches the pool, Miles can be heard playing Red Hot Chili Pepper’s “Under The Bridge.” He can be heard explaining Whiskey “AK (Anthony Kiedis) and Flea get all the credit, but Frusciante really was the heart of the band.”
2 important interpretations:
No one is discussing Innovators Dilemma book which has "disruption" at its core...
Boooooo
THAT WAS INTENTIONAL IN THE MOVIE 🤦🏻♂️
@@eduardoramirezesquivel4217 And that’s exactly why this movie wasn’t very good.
Well I think the point was to make nearly all the characters invited unlikable... they were all shitheads except for the two protagonists. They set up this trope and then turned it on its head.
There's a portrait in the living room mention that's a nod to Enduard Norton being in fight club. I'm sorry, we don't talk about fight club xd
I might have missed it, so, can someone tell me why the glass screen thingy protecting the Mona Lisa stopped going up and down? The last time it goes up was around 1h 57 min when he burns the napkin. After that. it stops. Even when he plays with his lighter, nothing. No more up and down. Why?
That Scarface reference was nonsense.
Haven't seen this yet. Looks good.
4:33 Mojo stating the movie doesn't give spoilers and proceeds to give the biggest spoiler of the movie
The What?! Who painted the painting? Ma-what?
Call me a die hard cinephile because I definitely got that 2010 reference
To be fair, all the "disrupters" had help with the box. None did it on their own. Most were solved from either their mum or some random. I knew something was up when she was not part of the group chat to solve the puzzle.
They were all on the phone together. They solved it as a group.
I just watched this and the drink swap part ruins the big reveal if you paid attention enough to notice it yourself. Then 1 minute later the guy lies about swapping the drink confirming even more that you have it figured out for the msot part. Horrible directing/writing decision.
I felt that way too. I saw him hand him the drink and so the murderer was unfortunately obvious.
I think that was the point, if you were paying attention you would notice but me for example I wasn't paying attention so I missed it
@@lynscrap Pretty crappy point to make, to ruin the murder mystery 59 minutes into a 2.5 hour long movie.
When he first saw her, he looked pretty damn surprised
@@HenryWayat Ya I thought that was goofy. He killed her and put her in the front seat of her car. So that was strange. Loved the movie.
He never mention to make sure she was dead. He probably thought it was failed attempt.
If you watch the movie, you’ll see Miles is clearly shocked when he sees Andi.
Plus, her murder hadn’t been revealed to the public and he’s stupid af. He could just think that he didn’t fully finish the job and she somehow survived
Knives Out > glass onion
Dont let us spoil the plot and then 1 second later show the end of the film
henri WHO???

Who the French Hell is “Henri Matsisse” when he’s at home?
IKR! Matisse is the easiest French name to pronounce and this bobblehead gets it wrong
Top 10 movie scenes that will make you say "that's gotta hurt"
#OUCH
Top 10 scenes in the movie that *EVERYONE* noticed but that FailMojo still have to make a video about calling top 10 things you missed
One mystery left unsolved. Who was that stoner guy who keeps popping up just to say “I’m not here”. Does he have any significance or just to add to the confusion. At first I thought it must be him who shot Andi/Helen.
Just a red herring. It’s satire to misdirect you
Yeah caught a few but both are ok saw them both today.
You missed Yo-Yo Ma making a cameo...
Henri Matisse’s Icarus painting is from 1944, not 1947. It even says it on the screen!
But is something this obvious a real mistake, or did you say it on purpose as an in-joke that’s gone right over my head??? 7:35
Peggy had a knife out for no apparent reason but aiding the title... Miles poses like Elizabeth Holmes in a photo.
I don't get this, can you explain ?
D-did you really think people had forgotten about Among Us?
plus daniel craig looks like an older version of jeremy renner
OMGGGG. THEY'RE ROOMMATES!!!!
There’s a really obvious shot of an Omega watch that has to be a reference to the clunking product placement in Casino Royale.
it's probably because Daniel Craig is still the ambassadaor for omega
I saw it as a reference to Greek since it was filmed there.
Agatha Christie's Poirot - Cards on the Table
Saw it yesterday. Great movie.
Brilliant!
Who was the random weed guy on the island??
It's funny that you missed that there was a picture of Kanye west on the wall
no one noticed how she threw the klear just like walter threw mercury fulminate
Plot spoiler *** why didn’t if the murderer they murder Andy. Surely they would know the Andi was dead and wouldn’t need google to tell that they were . Blanc
Should surely have know this and would know that Helen impersonating Andi would have her life be under threat
Of course, the detective figured it out, that’s why he encouraged Andi to destroy the place.
wait, really? I didn't know that was the case. So all this time, it was the true Andi that was in the island?
Uh no. You're pulling that out of your ass.
@@dannnarutam No.
@@sirgreedy88 why is it that ignorant people always have to insult? Watch the very end again; look at her posture. There is a reason for that.
