This wasn't a cash app scam this was just an idiot that let someone send money from her phone because she wasn't paying attention to what he was doing no one can scan your cash app the only way to get money from cash app is if you give your information or send money thinking you'll get more money back and the info on her cash app will allow her to track the person that did it

I log out of my cash app after each use. When I log back in I have to enter my phone number and before I send money I have to enter a pin to send money. Every now and then I will remove the card from the account if I find myself not using cash app as much. Unfortunately you have to watch out for the young people to they are just as bad as some adult criminals.

I didn't approve it, and neither was I able to find how to delete this name and turn it in. However, my financial institution sent me an ail that I had some negative activity on my account, and that they were going to have to limit my withdrawals for now. Please be careful and do not accept or approve anything that you don't know. These scammers are treacherous!

Cashapp has an option for you to enter a pin to confirm you're sending money. It's good to always have that enabled, it would have prevented this.

Put a passcode on your cashapp for payments... That way your pin is required for any payments to be made
