    I really hope that town has recovered from the events earlier this summer.

      The Downtown doesn't appear to have recovered too well, still many establishments boarded up, including along the Nicollet Mall. Other areas seem to be fairing a bit better since this summer.

      No problem. The Twin Cities is a great place to visit, I like Minneapolis a bit more than St. Paul, though...

    I heard that the transit Union doesn’t like the new buses because they’re not electric. Is that true?

      I would think that the advocacy groups that were promised systemwide electric bus operation were more pissed that they bought so many diesels instead of electrics. 1) Metro Transit is just starting to experiment with electric buses, 2) electric buses don't really do too well in cold temperatures...at least not until the technology improves greatly, and 3) diesel buses are half to a third of the cost of these electric buses....the cost needs to go down in order to be offset by fares and subsidies from the Metropolitan Council, among others.
