MARQ2 Buses - Maple Grove, Metro Transit and Others

Bus action on the Marquette/2nd Avenue S. express bus corridors in downtown Minneapolis during the afternoon rush hour. This footage features a variety of Gillig, New Flyer and MCI units in action. Models include the D40LF, D60, D60LFR, XD60 (Xcelsior), Low Floor, BRT, and D4500CT.

I've seen brand new XD60's in Metro Transit's fleet over the last year. I think they have ZF transmissions. Unit numbers start @ 3400. I've ridden them a couple times on route 3 and for light rail replacements. They're very nice!

+KBilt92 Yeah I've seen the 34xx running the 3 a lot, but haven't ridden any myself yet. I noticed a couple when I was filming this footage actually, but wanted to focus on the D60 while they're still around. ZF is the preferred transmission now it seems. I miss Voith though, the ZF seem to jerk bad sometimes changing speeds. I also noticed the new 2015 Gillig Hybrids 7340-7344 have the BAE system and start/stop instead of Allison H 40 EP like the past orders.
