Suggestion: Please review tier 2 colleges and top private engineering colleges.
Edit: JOSAA to be started after around 25 days. But the private college counselling are nearing like JIIT Noida, LNMIIT Jaipur, Comedk colleges.
Reviews of such colleges would be really helpful for the students including ME!!

Madam it was started in 1847 but the class started from 1849 in Civil engineering department. Then from 1864 in another department classes started that is in department of Earth Sciences. After 100 yrs in 1949 it became University and in 2001 September 21st it became IIT. I was there to witnessed between University and IIT life. I stayed in Jawahar Bhawan.

iiith is ranked in in the 80s (but is equivalent to top IITs)
VIT and MIT are ranked above BITS (joke of the year)
these are just few examples :)
in easy words don't believe them, do ur research extensively.

Are plz someone clear my doubt. I'm asking from so many days. Is it ok ro take low branch(low In terms of placement) in IITs if you want to be a software engineer or not. and can non cs students grab on campus big placement.

I will prefer IITs as ther I will get many opportunities but if you interested for a particular branch only than consider branch first. + I think you can crack placements by other branches also just confirm with seniors that tech company let you sit for placement interviews or not.
*My Opinion Only*
yes many companies are open for all but number depends on from college to college but if you are from ece/eee then most software companies will open and you have the option to do a minor in CSE also but understand you will need to put some extra efforts.
Beyond IT placements you will have option for Finance/Consulting/Product management/Operations/Supply chain management placements too in the old IIT . But pick lower branch only in Top 5 IIT .
If you are really interested in CSE picking CSE in some good nit/iiit/bits might turn out to be a better option.
@@pritishposwal2029 is IIT Roorkee okay in this case. I had seen many people from iit r doing non core works and they were from different branch and are doing cs jobs. Is that okau. Also ece is itself a difficult branch so will I get free time to do coding.
@@rashigupta9119 yes iit roorkee also has very good non-core oppurtinities but slightly less than the old 5 iit but still good enough .
Circuital branch in any top iit is equally good as CSE as you get amazing oppurtinities for software jobs .

It's a good college for girls specially if you are from Delhi . Actually I don't want to do betch but my uncle daughter passout from there she a good package umm may be around 12+ lakh per annum and uske baad mere zindagi barbaad ho gaye 🙂💔

@Devadutta Hati yes bro, you are damn right, but there is no other college in India that gives a hand to hand fight with the iits. The entrepreneurial culture, 0% attendance and peer group are unmatched and are compared to the ones at elite iits ( IITb/d/k/m/kgp/r/g). Yes 25 lacs is huge, but i think it is worth it. Talking of abroad ( Germany for engineering) , then please convince my parents 😂 . Hahaha :)
