I encountered an error while installing Hackintosh that said, 'An error occurred preparing the software update.' I changed the smbiosis settings and disabled the secure boot model, but these did not work. Please help me.

@@litemint09I tried both the Dortania and Olarila methods, but both failed with the same error. It successfully boots into the macOS installer, and the installer downloads macOS, but after that, the macOS logo shows with a timer, followed by an error message popping up in the installer. My only options at that point are to either restart or shut down. For additional information, my system is a Dell Vostro 3471.

I tried this method first, but it showed the same error, which is why I used the Olarila method. The OpenSimplify application shows the wrong ACPI and does not include the proper device properties. What should I do next?

Hi. Great tutorial by the way, i just have a small issue. I have an MSI laptop with both a GTX 880M and Intel HD graphics 4600. I hackintoshed using your tutorial and used Monterey. I have an issue though - the screen looks all glitched out. Do you have any ideas on how to fix this?

    • @litemint09

      Thanks for the appreciation man,
Do you have this -wegnoegpu on your boot-args? Using that it will disable your GTX, I believe it can be usable on High Sierra
Try uploading your config.plist on here
      sanitychecker.ocutils.me/
It will tell you which one are supposed to be enabled or disabled on your config.
Check the Device properties if its properly configured for 4600 graphics.

Did you make your own EFI? Probably it has something to do with your Device Properties on you config.

I have a Dell Optiplex 3080 Micro, iServices are working but not Handoff, location, or AirPort. Can I use an Apple card with an adapter? Thx for ur good job !!! 👍

Can I share to you my EFI folder so you can have a look at it.

      @litemint09  28 วันที่ผ่านมา

cool man, perhaps theres something on your BIOS to adjust and as well as the EFI config.
For the meantime, backup your current EFI, then go to the link below, some one share the EFI that is working on that same mobo, as well as the bios settings they have.
      www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/341600-success-huananzhi-x79-zd3-xeon-e5-2689-mojave-10146-big-sur-1123-monterey-1201-sonoma-beta-7-sequoia-150/
What you can do is to change the EFI on that link/forum, then test it out on your machine if theres an improvement to the over all performance and the issue on that utilitzation thing.
Observe as you test it. You an always change your EFI via Disk Genius.

Do you know how we can prepare the SSD (partition-wise) and the EFI, when we are dealing with an older PC/Laptop that needs MBR and does not have uefi?
