The thing is that if the main focus of the film was a morale dilema, it would have been very obvious. By doing a court drama it subverts our expectations (which doesn't make it automatically good, i think it drags on too much) and i personally think the perspective of how the government can use you as a pawn for their convenience, then putting all of the blame on a war crime on an individual that was just handed the task of making the bomb for them, waaaaay more interesting than "le bomb kill le People???" . Although i agree with the sound part, it was wayyy too loud (same in a part of your vid, was that on purpose?) I also hate the dumb phrase Oppenheimer says at the start of the film, the "i dream of a subatomic world" or something, it reeks of pretentiousness from Nolan's part.

Yeah it was on purpose. Good points for noticing and yeah it's like they took many different aspects court drama, and morale and combined it.
