    At 27:25 you say that for every inch of elevation change you take off 3 half cups (25% of a grid). I believe that you mean for every inch of difference between the elevation of the hole and the elevation of where your cursor is when you adjust for the break. Just want to make sure I'm understanding correctly.

    • @xamazingtrace
      @xamazingtrace  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's correct. This one I started doing last year and don't have it perfected yet. But on 13 greens, for every inch of rise in elevation from the hole to the aim point, I will take off 25% of a grid of aim. On 12 greens, it is more like 20%. And so on.

    At 41:38 you suggest taking off a foot of distance for uphill putts on 13 greens. It seems this only applies to calculating the offset you allow for break not the actual power you use to hit the putt. Because later you use the actual distance when calculating the power to hit the putt.

    • @xamazingtrace
      @xamazingtrace  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's correct. This is only for this putting calculator I use. I take off 1ft for 13 greens and .5ft for 12 greens. Once I find the break line, I add the actual distance back to get the correct power to hit.

    Thank you for the great video tutorial. I have a question for you. I too play on a PC. And at 34:50 you mentioned that you could use the arrow keys on the keyboard to adjust the camera angle. Is there any settings that is required to enable that feature? Because it's not working for me. Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks again!

    • @xamazingtrace

      I'm not sure if there is a special setting for this. Sorry it's not working for you.

    Great video - Thank You! I am wanting to know how you calculate greens with a slant/tilt to one side or the other? I se a good many videos addressing the uphill/downhill calculation but nothing on these slanted green. I have found at least 6 different degrees of these slanted greens, either tilted toward the left or the right. I also have discovered that these different slants/tilts definitely have an effect on putting results. Thank You Again

      I feel putted for 3 years and then learned to dot count the last 2 years that I played. I tried to explain the details in this video.

    For the downhill putt at 1:23:36 it makes sense to count the faster dot by the hole since this will affect the break the most. Remember that the putt has run out of power by this point and is coasting purely on momentum.

    Much of the problem is feeding into the "handicap" clothing and attire. Makes it super easy without wind. Take away the clothing and add in the wind, and it throws your calculations off.
    Also using different meter speed clubs. Seems easier to keep meter speeds all the same. Even though you have to spend bigger bucks to get the better meter speeds.
    I rented the MAX irons that have 1.5 meter speeds. You'd hate life if you paid $30 for that set of irons.....

    • @xamazingtrace
      @xamazingtrace  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'm not sure what problem you are referring too. I never played with apparel except for the occasional Showdown. Even then, I only used something to enhance my driver distance, so my numbers were accurate across game modes. But I also just won credits to buy the equipment. I didn't spend money on the game.

      Making a statement that keeping the meter speeds close in range from club to club, makes it easier to hit the ding with all the clubs.

    I've seen people using different dividers - for example, some say a 12 green speed = 0.75 (9/12), but I've seen others say it's 0.658 (7.9/12) - not a huge diff but I assume you think (9/12) is better?

    • @xamazingtrace
      @xamazingtrace  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Green speeds multipliers
      14 = 0.65
      13 = 0.69
      12 = 0.75
      11 = 0.82
      10 = 0.9
      9 = 1.0
      7.9 = 1.12
      7.4 = 1.21

    Ryan is there any way you can work out the percentage you need to hit the putter?

    • @xamazingtrace
      @xamazingtrace  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes. I use an excel sheet that has the formulas built in. The sheet I use is available in the wgt-tools-sheets-only section of my Discord server. If you can't use excel, or don't want to work with a spreadsheet, there are also multipliers for each green speed. Those are also in the same section of my Discord server. Hi Ryan. Do you ever ram putts?

    • @xamazingtrace
      @xamazingtrace  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I do. However, it needs to be within 4' if it has a lot of break, or if it is longer, it needs to not have much break at all.
