Last night I played a concert dedicated to my two guitar heroes, Django Reinhardt and George Harrison @everyone
My favorite music in one of the most magical places in the world… the Isle Of Man!
The sound was glorious and I’ve never heard my Polak Gypsy Guitar sound so sweet.
Check this video I just made with my rhythm guitarist Chris Quinn where we play some of the tunes and show you the breathtaking vista from our hotel.
You’ll see us play ‘Duke & Dukie’ from Django and ‘Something’ & ‘While My Guitar Gently Weeps’ from George Harrison - Gypsy Jazz style!
PS - We are LIVE with the Limited Release of my signature Polak Gypsy Guitars.
Today you can own one of these beauties for a massive 20% discount and also get a free bonus package worth $917.
These guitars are all built and ready to be shipped to the first 10 lucky guitarists who grab them up. (actually make that 6 since 4 have sold already!)

What is that bossa tune Chris plays when he test drives the Swing 42?

This is amazing guitar work. It's a great pleasure to listen to you. You both groove like hell.
I have two questions. You both hold the pick differently. Is there a special pick technique for solo playing in Gypsy Jazz?
I saw an integrated microphone in one of the guitars. I haven't had good experiences with that and a few years ago I installed the "Lyric" system from LR Baggs in my Martin HD 35 and my flamenco guitar. It's the best system I've ever tested. Wouldn't that be something for a Gypsy guitar as well, or do you need a special pickup system for it?
I play with an unorthodox right hand picking technique but Django and most Gypsy Jazz players use the rest stoke or Gypsy picking technique. The Lyric sounds really good for sure would like to try that!

You have to be careful because there are two versions, one for nylon classical/flamenco guitars and one for metal strings, i.e. western guitars and gypsy guitars. They look the same but have a different EQ curve.
