Truth Or Dare Movie Description:
Olivia, Lucas and a group of their college friends travel to Mexico for one last getaway before graduation. While there, a stranger convinces one of the students to play a seemingly harmless game of truth or dare with the others. Once the game starts, it awakens something evil -- a demon which forces the friends to share dark secrets and confront their deepest fears. The rules are simple but wicked -- tell the truth or die, do the dare or die, and if you stop playing, you die.
Truth or Dare, also known as Blumhouse's Truth or Dare, is a 2018 American supernatural horror film directed and co-written (alongside Michael Reisz, Jillian Jacobs, and Chris Roach) by Jeff Wadlow. The film stars Lucy Hale, Tyler Posey, Violett Beane, Hayden Szeto, Sophia Taylor Ali, and Landon Liboiron as a group of college students who play a game of truth or dare while on vacation in Mexico, only to realize it has deadly consequences if they don't follow through on their obligations. Jason Blum produced through his Blumhouse Productions banner, and Universal Pictures distributed the film.
Released in theaters on Friday, April 13, 2018, the film received mostly negative reviews from critics, who said it was "neither inventive nor scary enough to set itself apart from the decades of dreary slashers that came before it." Regardless, the film was a box office success, grossing $95 million worldwide against its $3.5 million production budget.

I agree that Olivia isn't a good person--despite her outward efforts to constantly show/convince herself, and everyone else, that she is [i.e. signing up for Habitat for Humanity, talking about how much she's looking forward to helping ppl on her blog, then immediately giving into peer pressure and going to Mexico instead. Also, covering up Markie's repeated instances of cheating on a guy she (Olivia) supposedly cares so much about]--however, I don't think what she said to Markie's dad should be considered as evidence that she's terrible. She was scared, young, confused and disgusted. He blatantly hit on her--aminor who (up until that point) genuinely trusted him because she'd known him practically her entire life through her childhood friendship with Markie.
Anyway, great reaction. Hilarious and entertaining as usual.
If you want a better Truth or Dare movie, there's one that came out in 2017 that's definitely more entertaining than this one.

YES the main character is a horrible person, but what she does in the end makes me wish they all died. The Main Character is a Horrible Person, the friend she is willing to sacrifice the world for is a garbage person & yet she risks the world to save her friend? She did the devil’s work for them. It wouldn’t help anyone, that girl in the opening set another woman on fire! Does Olivia really think that it won’t come back to her & Markie one way or another?!
I don't think Mello fully got what happened with Olivia and Markees dad. He sexually assaulted a minor so of course she was going to say something out of pocket because he did something out of pocket. It doesn't make her a bad person.

You know, I didn't mind the ending; I actually enjoy the scenario where you'd choose your friend's life over the entire world's. It's so messed up, much like Life is Strange.
What I don't like is how it was executed, much like a lot in this movie. I would prefer if the film started with the MC making a video starting out with the phrase Truth or Dare, then the character explaining her story of what happened to her and her friends. Then at the end she reveals that she created this video for the purpose of saving her friend, and if the viewer has gotten this far they've already become a part of the game from the very beginning.
Not necessarily save the movie but it would have touched it up better.
if 20 million+ people view that video and only 1 person can be harassed by the demon at a time and let's say it takes at least 3 minutes to complete the challenge on average, then each player will only get asked truth or dare once every 60 million minutes (114ish years),
some of the people who saw this video won't get prompted to play until they're in their damn 70s and 80s and 90s etc, they'll have completely forgotten about the video and any context therefore the demon will have to explain it lol
There's another Truth or Dare movie too, that one is also worth a watch.

I saw that one. I liked it more than I thought I would. I think because a lot of horror movies drag out the beginning and then have a bunch of stuff happen at the end and that one had stuff happening right away.
