Thank you so much, Dean! A good way to remember Widen and Narrow is you always want to WIDEN your DEBIT card account and NARROW your CREDIT card account! I still think its much easier to just count the number of letters in each word.

Can't thank you enough for these videos, just passed my 7 this morning! I got several extremely challenging options questions, one was involving profit/loss on a collar, several others with no premium given and you had to sort out what was going on. Also a couple tax and cost basis questions related to options and covered calls....need to really have it nailed down so anyone taking the test - practice, practice, practice in this area!!

Hey there I am near the end of my studying here for the Series 57. feeling pretty comfortable with almost everything and ready to schedule the exam. The one thing I am thinking how much to spend more time on is. Advanced options strategies, Condors, Butterflys, Etc. Do you find these these Advanced Options strategies are tested often on the Series 57 Exam. I feel pretty comfortable with Straddles and Spreads. Wondering how much to deep dive into these other more complex ones.

The breakeven in a call spread (debit or credit) is C. A. L Call Add to the Lower. You add the net premium (debit or credit) to the lower strike. I am sure no discrepancy just being explained differently. Do one. You will at the same breakeven.

@@Series7Guru there was a question on there where the client wants to buy 10 bonds and there is a list of bonds some at discoun,t, others and premium and it asked which ones would be the ones to buy for the clients . Super weird question Another one was where there was a long all with a lremium of 3 and short call with a premium of 4 and the question was what the cap gain/loss was but they said that they bought the long call at 5 and sold the short call at 2 Im not sure exact terminology but those questions were the ones that threw me for a loop Hopefully you may understand what they were asking 😂 Thanks again Dean!
@@EliGutie that was a credit spread opened for a net credit of 1 and closed for a net debit of 3. Speead widened from 1 to 3. Customer lost 2 points. You would not sell the short call. You woukd buy it back.
A customer buys 1 XYZ Aug 50 put at 1 and sells 1 XYZ Aug 65 put at 10 when XYZ is at 58. If XYZ is at 52 at expiration, the customer has.? The equation didn’t work on this one

Hi Dean ! my TC says that the break even on a spread bull call is is Long exercise add net debit … but yours shows differently .. I’m confused now 😕

wow! just spent several hours on kaplan they need to link this in their videos nothing on straddles at all in the videos.
GURU10 doesn't work in Kaplan's checkout.
It is now Guru15. 15% instead of 10%.
how do you know whether bearish vs bullish?
On spreads the larger premium. Straddles are not bullish or bearish.

Breakeven is 56 and bullish. 52 is 4 points in the wrong direction. 4 point or $400 loss.
Where I am struggling is knowing the MG and ML for straddles?
Wait I think I found the info I was looking for long straddle MG UNLIMITED ML net debit short straddle MG net credit ML unlimited
Correct but it is not net it is total premium. Total debit. Not net debit. Total credit. Not net credit.
