I have a wot for my old Minelab Explorer se, I have found silver dimes at 13 inchs. I just ordered the X-terra 705 from kellyco today, I cant wait to get it. A little tip when you are pinpointing with a DD coil when you get the best signal and have the item centered, turn 90 degrees and get the best signal again. This method has worked great for me. I have been detecting for at least 30 years.

I've just bought the 705 two weeks ago. The best way to tell if you have a good target is. After you have determined where the target is, is to slowly drag the coil back toward you in small wiggles and listen to the tone. If the tone stays the same (like a nice mid to high tone) as the target passes in front of the tip of the coil, you know you have a coin (or some other nice target) if it drops in tone just as it passes in front of coil, its probably iron or some other junk.

When running this coil it helps to put sensitivity on 21 it's more stable than 28

I have the 705 also--- Sorry-- But if I were you I would throw that little pinpointer you have as far as you could throw it and learn to pinpoint on the 705--- it has great capabilities

I have the X-Terra 705 as well, and it is exhalent at pinpointing the target, I don't even use the pinpoint function half the time

At the 8minute mark the 705 was indicating a depth of ten plus inches, how come you didn't dig down to that depth straight away?

I sub'd. Thnaks for showing the screen on its use. Always nice to see, hear, and dig the targets. I have the same set-up. Looking forward to more vids like this one. Cheers

Thanks for the video. I picked up the 7.5 Hz coiltech coil today which I'm happy with but I'm a little confused? The minelab folks said that the 3khz coil would hit deeper larger targets but miss smaller stuff just under the surface, they said the 18khz would be better on fine gold closer to the surface but it looks like you are picking stuff up at all depths? I kept the same frequency but larger coil because I have a fused spine and don't want to dig too deep all the time. I only got it today but it worked a treat at four different locations, I agree about the weight after swinging it for a while "ouch" I guess we could buy a bungy strap for it! Cheers and HH&GL Chris Downunder.

Nice test . I had the X-Terra 70 (Good detector)and liked it . But not enough depth for me .

I get great overall performance out of the 10.5 7.5kHz coil. no problem on most coins 8-10" buried inches with accurate ID. The 15" is a couple inches deeper on higher conducting coins but pretty weak on nickels as expected. it's nice to have the flexibility. It's easily the deepest and quietest machine I've had.
