I just bought a brand new Polaris Ranger 1000 and that rear panel you mentioned witch is new you say to keep the mud out in not on my machine . Would you have a part number because the dealer don’t even have a clue about it. Please help if you can, thanks

I don't understand why not having grease fittings is good??? Guess I'm just old school??? And if you Google Polaris Ranger 1000 xp 2018 and up,they are having big time trouble from the clutch... maybe they fixed it on the 2020 line, I'm not sure??? I'm in the market to buy,but the clutch thing, scares me.

Hi James, the new bushings are of a poly design that doesn't require grease. The biggest problem with greaseable metal bushings is that people don't grease them properly and they wear prematurely especially if ridden in water/mud.

Gas cap and Air Filter seem dangerously low for any kind of creek water riding ???

they are sealed, and the air intake is on the sides of the machine near the seats. Its a utility version so it's not meant for anything to crazy but with the XP version, you can get a snorkel kit installed etc.

REEF X mr, a poly style bushing that doesn't require greaseing.

Is the prop shaft straight on the 1000?

JD4440, no it's still at a slight angle but they did upgrade the prop-shaft to use CV joints instead of the old style u-joints
