Ridge Monkey Easy Fries (DIRTY FRIES)

Here's a tasty, warming campfire recipe using a ridge monkey (or similar pan). All it requires is 4 easy ingredients, thin fries, grated cheese, bacon bits & Cajun spice.
To make - Defrost your desired quantity of frozen thin fries, put them in a bag and sprinkle your spice in. Heat up the fries in the ridge monkey, turning regularly. When cooked place them in foil & add your cheese and bacon bits, then re-heat until melted. Serve with your choice of beverage et Voila.

Less hassle if you cook them first in an air fryer then carry on with the monkey, you can seal chips in a back half cooked and leave in fridge for a few days if you want to.

Cheers! Ridge-Monkey not required. Just a nonstick pan with a lid or foil top.Try adding diced mini gerkins, or, sliced banana - seriously ...Add hot sauce if you like the kick ...

Surprised you are using an electric hob because Ridge Monkey posted somewhere that it does not work with that sort of hob. But you have proved otherwise. Good news.Thanks

That's a normal electric direct heat ceramic style hob, a Ridge Monkey works fine on those. It won't work on an induction hob as it's aluminium and not magnetic. Induction hobs need pans made of cast iron or steel.

CAN TELL YOUR NOT A CHEF........ it,s camping everything goes into the RIDGEMONKEY and cooks at same time .........and why the polybag the chips go into the pan and get seasoned (THE RIDGEMONKEY) .......ALONG WITH EVERYTHING ELSE .
