- If you are looking to buy a cruiser for the daily grind, the Bajaj Avenger is probably the first bike which comes to mind. And, as part of the recent refresh, Bajaj has given it a few cosmetic updates, while bumping up the displacement from 150cc to 180cc. But now, there is another option - the Suzuki Intruder. It gets more hardware, costs about Rs 15,000 more and looks - well, let’s just say it is attention-grabbing. The question is - can the Intruder justify its price tag over the Bajaj Avenger Street 180, or is it asking for a bit too much?

Intruder is better for the long run. plastic are of good quality, they don't rattle, I have been using it in off roads also. Extremely good riding quality on long rides

Intruder is good value for money. Avenger is just a bike with engine but intruder has single abs with dual disk both rear and front, digital instrument cluster, a successful engine of Gixxer and more sporty looks.
I have intruder 150 FI 2019 model and my brother has the avenger, I have ridden both the bikes a lot.
You have to hand it to suzuki, in that it's engine will always carry the day.
What about plastic fibre of intruder does it make noise after year or two

I tested both bikes intruder is smooth and pickup is more than avenger, suspension also wins... As well as braking.. In conditions avenger is down. If you bet i'm ready to prove you...these guys took money from bajaj please friends don't belive this review.. Go on for self ride for both bikes, you will know

Thanks for watching, and a valid point. But we wanted to find out which is the better urban cruiser. And the Avenger 180 with its lower-price is a contender that just can not be ignored.
Nabeel Khan But at just 10k more Avenger 220 makes much more sense than A180 and it (A220) still is 10k cheaper than the Intruder.
If you are using the bike primarily in the city, the 180cc makes a strong case with the shorter gears and better efficiency. And, the Avenger 220 is just 5K down to the Intruder, not 10,000.
ONE HUGE MISTAKE ZIGWHEELS.
when the host is speaking, do the editors feel the need to put such a loud music behind him? Even at max volume I cannot hear what he is speaking and the music is filled in my ears. When the time comes to max out music (cinematic approach to showcase the bike and its design) then the music is low.

Thanks for watching. As said in the review, the Intruder has a more refined engine which performs better at high speeds, a better gearbox and a better handling nature. Not to forget, the equipment like the all-digital instrument cluster, front and rear disc brakes and the single channel ABS.
I have avenger 220
This is best bike in the price range and segment.
Without ABS, breaking is excellent.
But I have little bit problem with gear shifting, it is near harder side.

I think both bikes are good in their own ways and most importantly now we have option for different audience. Competition will result in better motorcycles from all manufacturers.
Any how I am more concerned about the rattling of plastics on intruder after 4 to 5 years of usage.
People who are saying the intruder is bad probably have never rode it. better refinement, torque than the avenger even after less capacity than the avenger . And here people are still complaining about looks.

I drove from gurgaon to vrindavan, 140 km non stop and back, 2 people with luggage, minimum 210 kgs, engine was super buttery smooth till 75km speed above 80 km speed there were vibrations, but overall awesome bike for all India trip. For single riding, it's value for money

I bought Intruder.. After that I tried drive avenger.. You find intruder more favourable.
guys take take the bajaj avenger because of its suspension because its soft hard suspension will brake your spine for any bike with stiff suspension i have a friend who is a long time rider he has big problems with his spine because of stiff suspension it will destroy you in the long run be care full when choosing your new bike pay most attention to the suspension not the power and looks safty first
Where ever i think about both engine i can surely say that Avengers engine cannot campare to Suzuki engine where the Avengers takes 180cc and Suzuki 150 After a year The bajaj engine very down in performance and Millage is becomes 30 20 that was very wrost about bajjaj engine have no long life but Suzuki engine remain same in performance after a long years and soo if you want to better than Suzuki

The Intruder is basically a sock down your underpants. All those body panels to make it seem big but it has a tiny 150cc engine.
Avenger is perfectly balanced design you can't say that wheels are small than body or power is low.... Perfect design with natural details and looks like hearly street 750

My CB Unicorn 2007 was fully plastic except for the tank. You can ask anyone around about durability of Unicorn. Avenger won't even stand close.

Vinoth Kumar M I also owned a 2009 unicorn don't compare unicorn here its about avenger Vs intruder. Ride the intruder for more than 1year and u can't stop the rattling sound from the plastic.
Dear sirs....I am riding a Suzuki Access 125 since July 2017 and have rode it for 15000 kms already and I can vouch that never ever after an year will the Intruder will have the rattling sound....suzuki have an innovative style of binding the plastics....they wont ever have that rattling sound....
The Avenger Rider ihv been riding gixxer sf for more than 1 year and the plastic is more on gixxer sf compare to intruder, yet no problem .Its all about engine's quality/refinement/smoothness in which Suzuki is far ahead than bajaj.
Bhai there is no Argument..Its Suzuki...that is bajaj there will definitely be better build quality.But personally I feel the intruder should have had a 250cc engine.
It will just take a small push to break the body of the intruder. Avenger on the other hand can handle falls quite easily. Plastic looks good only on new bikes later it makes sound and will be annoying.

Baised review. I have r15 Avenger and intruder. Avenger is shit compared intruder. Though intruder is 150 u will never feel it's under powered. It has nice pick up u don't have to change gears often like this guy said. U can drive at 20 in 5th gear. It's very comfortable it can clock 115 under 10 seconds . And has awesome looks and is huge. At least 100 people have complimented me on road. The only problem I saw was mileage. It gives 35 but it's OK compared to the power and safety it offers. As far as for negative comments of people This bike is like a handsome well built man to whom u don't want to introduce ur girlfriend and bitch about him so as ur girl won't fall of him or she will start comparing him to u.
