    For those who would like to sing along :
    Once in the dear dead days beyond recall,
    When on the world the mists began to fall,
    Out of the dreams that rose in happy throng
    Low to our hearts Love sang an old sweet song;
    And in the dusk where fell the firelight gleam,
    Softly it wove itself into our dream.
    Just a song at twilight, when the lights are low,
    And the flickering shadows softly come and go,
    Though the heart be weary, sad the day and long,
    Still to us at twilight comes Love's old song,
    Comes Love's old sweet song.
    Even today we hear Love's song of yore,
    Deep in our hearts it dwells forevermore.
    Footsteps may falter, weary grow the way,
    Still we can hear it at the close of day.
    So till the end, when life's dim shadows fall,
    Love will be found the sweetest song of all.
    Just a song at twilight, when the lights are low,
    And the flickering shadows softly come and go,
    Though the heart be weary, sad the day and long,
    Still to us at twilight comes Love's old song,
    Comes Love's old sweet song.

      @BlackPatti78s 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It's a edison diamond disc, it's not made out of vinyl, the Grooves, unlike normal record Grooves which go side to side, the edison diamond discs go up and down and need a certain gramophone to play it. But if you have an edison diamond disc and no edison gramphone to play it, you can use a vertical stereo record player with a 3mm stylus, note. DO NOT USE A LATERAL MONO RECORD PLAYER TO PLAY DIAMOND DISCS, IT WILL DESTROY THEM.

      @aresez64 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@BlackPatti78s 2 questions,
      1. is it only in Edison diamond disc
      2. could you play this if you put the Edison diamond needle in any old gramophone without destroying the record.

    • @BlackPatti78s
      @BlackPatti78s 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@aresez64 its on diamond disc and edison cylinder
      You can not play s diamond disc on a normal gramophone but if you dont have diamond disc gramophone but have a diamond disc gramophone reproducer you can replace the standard gramophone reproducer with the diamond disc reproducer. And if you have neither a gramophone or a diamond disc gramophone reproducer you can play diamond discs on a modern turntable, but make sure the turntable is a stereo vertical cut groove player (do not play edison diamond discs on a mono lateral player)

      Good friend, the comments reference dementia as this song was sampled in a project called "Everywhere At The End Of Time" by The Caretaker (an alias of Leland Kirby). The project is essentially a musical trip through several stages of dementia. Highly advise you give it a listen.
