Love how unique CV4's soundtrack is. A lot of other horror games, even other Castlevania games, generally go the spooky rock route or all atmosphere. This game has this mysterious yet classical feel I never seen other games pull off quite as well.
Feels like a progression of where 3 was going w/it's soundtrack yet couldn't nail on the hardware (the VRC6 helped). Now on SNES the 4 team was able to showcase what the NES games aimed for but with the graphical and audio prowess to support it. Bloodlines and Rondo continued in some areas but 4 feels like the last truly "old" Castlevania, following in the footsteps of and incorporating presentational design more in-line with the NES games.
SCVIV has one of the best soundtracks of all CastleVania soundtracks. Love the SNES, Genesis, and especially the NES chiptune sounds ❤, Your SCVIV NES arrangements are outstanding 👍, Please do other NES arrangements of these SCVIV tracks & they're one of my favorite tracks: Demon Castle Dracula (Menu) Password (Name Entry) The Castle's Gate (Courtyard) Waterfalls (Stage 3-2) Pillared Corridor (Stage 7) Cellar (Stage 8) Treasury Room (Stage 9) Bloody Tears Vampire Killer Beginning Room of Close Associates Dracula's Keep (Final Battle) Dracula's Death Ending
What the hell is this time signature? Edit: Found it out. Starts out in 3/4, then shifts to 4/4 at the 30-second mark and retains that time signature for the rest of the track.

CV4 blends the classic Castlevania style with ambience, jazz, and tribal drums; super unique stuff

The best theme for the Dark Lord. Somber and imponent, dancing together. A true waltz of evil.
The Dracula fight theme in this game was the only song in video games that ever genuinely scared me when I was a kid lmao
Perfect music to set the mood for a Castlevania adventure.
I was looking forward to this one! you've been putting in serious work with this soundtrack lately :]
Ayy
Love how ominous it feels.

One Of My Favourite Tracks!!
This definitely sounds like the Japanese version of Castlevania 3, and I love it.
Legendary theme!
Heheh. That theme was really well redone.
