I took that same road out of Bickleton last summer trying to find an offroad route to Satus pass. Looked possible on google maps. I found some fun roads and trails, but locked gates prevented getting to the pass. I went back to the pavement and then Goldendale. Awesome twisty's after Bickleton. Then rode the Glenwood highway to soda springs, Grayback mountain and Stinson flat campground. Glenwood highway has some of the best paved twisty stuff in the state! Lots of fun dirt roads too but not like it was 30 years ago. Are you riding the old Oregon BDR or the new one?
Hey Mike, cool to hear about your ride. I cut through Bickleton and Goldendale on my BDR trip. Nice road! I'll definitely be checking out some of those areas you mentioned! Luckily I didn't find any gates up there on this ride. I'm probably doing the new ORBDR route. Still, depends on the route so I can't finalize a plan until it's released. I'm interested in the original route, and I'll probably do that at some point too.
@@impactmotochannelThanks. Same here on the BDR'S. I want to ride one for sure and maybe both depending on where the new one goes. Plus, the Cascade discovery route. That one looks the most fun really. Let me know if you need someone to ride either one with. I was going to solo it, but it would be more fun with other folks.

I enjoy the videos I have the same bike 2015 . If you do the Oregon BDR deffinetly use the xr650l . I fish the Harford area some times to its nice over there.
