You can adjust the amount the handlebars can turn. There is an adjustment screw and nut on either side of the steering head. Many thanks for the great footage!
Great video, looks like such a blast. I'm seriously considering a 690, exactly for what this video shows. I'm not planning any huge pavement mile rides, but still what are your thoughts on the 690 verses something like the 890 or your Africa Twin??? Thank you!
Hey there! Thanks for watching. Glad you enjoyed this one! If I were going to have just one bike, it would probably be the 890. The 690 is obviously more fun off-road, and there's no denying that a 75hp single is a BLAST, but I also love the Africa Twin comfort, and I can still off-road that thing. 890 seems to sit in the middle. Keep in mind, I am 6'-5", 300lb. So bike weight matters much less to me.
Yeah, luckily it's an easy fix out on the trail. Not sure what the designers were thinking leaving that plastic switch housing as the lowest component on the bike. Maybe they were already planning on selling the bypass, the dongle happy jokesters.

They sell a bypass for the kickstand. Guess its fairly common. Thinking of getting one for my 890
