I just rebuilt an RPM 360 the owner dry-fired, pringled the cams, and destroyed the string & cables. I bought the bow for $100 from my dealer, because the owner didn't want to put any money into it, and opted to buy a new bow instead. My dealer also got my a new set of cams at cost, so the entire bow only cost me $300 so far. I made a new set of string & cables, installed everything in one fell swoop, tuned the bow and is shooting lights out. I put the bow in spec with the cables running a little hot through the timing dots on the cams, so this 60# bow is actually now shooting at 63.9#, putting a 360 grain arrow through the chronograph at 286 fps. This bow had no hand shock, vibration, or noise at the shot. I also set up the bow with the string perfectly plumb with the riser, and at perfect centershot, shooting bulletholes. Yeah, I like working on projects like these alone. I don't like an audience who can be distracting with their questions, because that's how mistakes happen.
Such a nice video. I tried something similar on my bow and I was lucky nothing bend or broke I used a smooth and tick screwdriver . The new style light weight cams are not design to be used as a bow press . I took the bow to a pro shop and I it was such a relief after it was tuned by a professional.
RPM 360. Have had 2 limbs delaminate at full draw. The last time I got the upgraded limbs which are a lot more solid and supposedly don't have the breaking issue. Bought it brand new in 2015 and have taken a dozen animals with it here in Arizona 👍🏻 Never put an Allen wrench in my cam though.... I throw the bow in my e-z-press 😆
love it, that's my bow and I still love it, I was gonna get a realm sr6 but I would need more time behind that bow because I still can shoot the btx 31 more accurately and with the x30 module and draw set at 30" and on the speed setting that thing shoots stupid fast. still one of the fastest bows on the planet. I would have used loctite on all those screws though.
Awesome videos. You should do a complete tune and install on a ritual. Start to finish. I experiencing my first elite and can’t find the complete tuning cam timing twist this cable that one with the limb stop all the way in or out lol. I’m a sense a starting point to finish. Of where everything should be when you set to spec then tune from there. I know binary cams are easy but maybe I’m overthinking everything. Just an idea. Thanks for the video and help for the sport of archery!
These beyond parallel limb Bowtechs take around 110 full turns out to completely relax the limbs and take them out of the press. You put that many turns back in when you press it again. You should always count how many turns for every bow you're taking apart, so you don't have to guess how many turns of the wheel to get the bow back to where you started taking off the string and cables.
I’m shooting an RPM 360 that I just rebuilt with new limbs, cables, and string. Looking to get a BTX to go along with it. May look at a Realm or just wait until next the new ones come out and try to pick up a SR 350 that’s a year old.
Noticed that he put the 4 gray spacers between the limbs on the frame in wrong. The only reason I know is I did the same thing with my bow the first time.
BTX 31 - never had a problem love the bow. Had many great hunts with it.
